The truth

Stirring she groaned from where she was laying. She knew she had gone to bed with him awake at nine as they had gotten up super early.

For the first time in the one hundred and forty four months she had spent at Derrick’s rogue pack she had actually slept and dreamt of something beautiful. It was not a dream to make her weary and tearful as she had laid there she had indeed, dreamt of something she wished could always come up when she was in such a dreamlike state.

She had dreamt of Xavier kissing her and in her dream she had given him the go ahead of everything he had wanted to do and she felt so many emotions in that dream and somehow she wanted it to happen in real life.

Just from that she thought she could definitely trust him, because they were things he had expressed to her last night when she had helped him out of his drunken state that she thought where things he would never discuss with someone he didn’t love at all.

And he had mentioned so many times to her how much he loved and wanted her in his life.

For sure the Moon Goddess had chosen the best of the best for her.

Hopefully she thought things were going to be easier now and she was happy she had accepted to do just what Jacqueline had advised her to do, she had finally started accepting her mate fully with no problems at all.

She smiled as she opened her eyes ready to meet face to face with him or even if she met his back at least he still was with her and she could feel the protection that emanated from his body when he was closer to her, but he was not there somehow he had slept but the space where he had slept was fixed almost as though he did not lay there the entire morning till about the time she was waking up.

He had folded the bedding he had used at the down parlor and arranged on the couch.

Where the hell was he? She panicked just for a bit but remembered that she had seen him at five very active and fine and maybe just maybe she should be able to accept the fact that her mate was an Alpha and sometimes he just might not spend the night in bed because he was busy and she only just needed to support him the way that she could even if she didn’t know much about pack leading. She picked up her phone and went through the contact list to which he had saved his number on and she sat up straight and began to write him but then what was she going to write to him now. 

She somehow felt talking to him was better than having to write a message to him, laying back in bed all she thought about was what she was suppose to write, it was the morning maybe she should begin with a good morning text that will elevate his spirit and then ask how his day was going and maybe she could add into it that she had missed his presence and wanted him around.

But if she did that it would be selfish because he was simply going to leave whatever it was that he was doing be it small or big just to come see her before he returned. She had to look for something better to say and write to him.

She then wrote him a ‘Good morning Xav, where are you?’

And then she kept her phone down waiting for a response from him hoping she had not written to disturb him from a meeting or something.

“I am in the bathroom I came to relief myself, baby” he responded not on phone but he was standing by the bathroom door as he stared at her and told her. She had shaken from when his masculine voice started the conversation but then a smile crept up into her face as she saw his face at the bathroom door.

Indeed he looked homely and nice to whom he wanted to look homely for.

She smiled as she crinkled her nose in excitement, she had never been this excited except when she was growing with her sister and her mother had made a shopping spree date for them three while their father had to go a little bunker because he knew that his three ladies will milk a little bit dry on that day.

It was a funky memory to which she had not forgotten she used to use those memories to make her happy when she was at the rogue pack there where days she would smile and when they saw her smiling from her memories it became a taboo of some sort.

As at last night he had been calling her baby and to be honest she was falling in love with it. It made her feel special to him, she had not heard him call anyone else baby or princess as he had been calling her so she loved the nickname and wanted him to keep calling her that all the time she loved every bit of it.

Sitting up from the she wanted to text him telling him how she loved that he was calling her princess but he walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. Somehow she blushed and she could feel her eyes roaming even more than they normally should roam. She was seeing a mature and beautiful man’s body before her and she just couldn’t know what do about it.

Derrick was always alcohol stench, his tooth some rotten as she wondered if he ever did take a brush, his clothes although he was the leader but sometimes he looked like he was one of the servants who had picked out what could be called the best of all best dresses.

That was her description of him and many more descriptions where to come as when she remembered him his bad deeds just came erupting even if she didn’t want it at all.

It was her past and sometime of her life that she had to deal with even if she was healing she still was going to remember those days.

And she wanted to remember those days when she was fine and take a glass of wine for her strength.

Turning to look at her mate yet again she had bent her eyes down because she was shy she had been looking more than she should. He looked like a god, he was so damn sexy and his shoulders where strong and muscular, his arms equally was massive as his chest heaved up and down as he breath his toned stomach was ripped in abs. he had a very beautiful defined V-line shaped which disappeared down into his towel and she had thoughts about how the inner towel looked like.

There was a light trail of dusting hair that graced his lower abdomen and his chest which beautified the tattoo that was on his side of his stomach it just sat right at the peck.

“I saw your text when I was in the bathroom Princess” he signed to her which automatically brought her back to reality as she was super drawn to him godlike body that she had forgotten that he could see her reactions.

“Yea, I got nervous, remember we promised to sleep with each till at around nine, I have a feeling you woke up super early” she signed back giving him a charming eye roll.

“Oh I am sorry Nathalia, I was showering, I know we promised to be by each other but still I should have waited for you to wake before I went in” he apologized.

“No, its okay, I was just a little nervous because I didn’t want you passed out somewhere due to yesterdays’ rough action” she said in a sassy yet playful way.

He smiled because if only she knew that he had gone out and met Jacqueline before he had returned to lay down with her again she wouldn’t really say those words but still he was happy she was feeling comfortable with him.

He nodded as he watched her for a moment to which she could feel the hair behind her neck arise as she was protruding some emotions she couldn’t fully understand if she wanted to in the first place.

“I am okay I am beginning to have even more energy from the smoothie you made I guess I healed well” he said to her as he watched her facial expressions.

“How are you feeling?” he signed to her asking how she was because she had drained herself crying yesterday because she felt she had been betrayed.

“I am okay I guess I am becoming used to everything and being scared isn’t something frequent to me anymore as I am around people who love me” she said nervously looking up to him.

He jots his chin as he heard those words his heart beating with gratitude she was becoming well and better, if he could jump up to show her the excitement he had he would but he wouldn’t slowly but surely they would get to where they were supposed to be if she was fine and not traumatized and he wanted that time to came super fast.

“Did you?” he asked as he looked take her drugs from last night.

“Yes I did take them before I came down and met you in the dancing room” she explained.

“Thank you” she signed slowly to him even when he was hurting that she was hurting he cooked and kept her drugs for her. She was excited.

Staring at each other for yet another moment before they broke eye contact, she quickly used her eyes to go mover his beautiful stature. He really was handsome, and looking at herself she was a work in progress if she could say so herself.

“Xavier?” she called out to which he looked at her. Her vocals where trying to come back and she had to practice with from time to time.

“Yea?” he replied.

“Are you scared of me?” she asked.

She watched his mouth drop open, as in his mouth moved for a moment but nothing really came up the question had for sure caught him off guard and he didn’t think she was ever going to ask him such a question. He quickly closed his open mouth and then he frowned before he responded.

“No,” 

She could see it in his eyes, he was lying he just didn’t want to hurt her, he was scared he was going to hurt her if he said some words, he was scared not to make her feel like she meant nothing to him because she meant everything to him, he was scared she thought she was lesser than everyone and he wished to show her she was a valued person and she was strong and firm.

“Tell me the truth Xavier” 

She watched him sigh as he looked at her his eyes darkening and the color changing as she whimpered from where she was sitting she closed her eyes and she brought her hands to her face she must have surely asked and said something that was going to make him hit her now.

She thought she was getting better with the kind of questions she asked.

She was waiting for the hit but it never came.

She opened her eyes and she saw that he had somehow moved backward a little further away from her. She watched him carefully as she saw his eyes changing from a beautiful grey to bluish and then a bright silver wolf like color.

“I am sorry I scared you” he apologized as he knew his facial expression must have scared her.

“I and my wolf didn’t mean to scare you” 

“I am way less scared of you now Xavier” she signed back and those words alone did a lot of churns in him as he watched her smile.
