Decisions

She woke up from sleep at about nine PM. She sure did need the rest as it was helping her stamina and body return back to where is normally had to be.

She rubbed her eyes groggily before she remembered he had promised to come here after his pack duties.

Well, to her maybe he was busy and she shouldn’t disturb him.

Maybe if he had marked her already she would have been able to mind link him but she couldn’t at this moment hence she was going to deal with him just coming here to visit her and then leave so she could heal better.

When she turned to look at the table beside her bed so she could continue her novel before Jacqueline returned to give her evening drugs she was met with roses and Tulips.

Wow they looked so beautiful she had seen these at the rogue pack but the roses where black roses and somehow for the tulips she didn’t know what they were called.

She was going to have to ask Jacqueline what the other flowers were because their color was super beautiful and she loved how they had been arranged.

Xavier! 

He for sure had a softer heart than she was ever going to handle and just witnessing this was some sort of pave forward to know that her mate was going to be the best decision she had made in her life.

She had never been given roses before, in fact she had never been shown this type of love but here she was receiving it from everyone who had come to see her even Ax made sure during the nights of his patrol he passed by to see how she was doing and somehow she had began to think she could trust men, at least the men of this pack.

They all seemed to be the best of the best.

Yawning she got up from the chair and then she sat up to drink water because her throat was extremely dry.

She downed the entire glass of water before she placed it back on the table then she neatly placed it on the table she had been taught while at the rogue pack.

She then was beaten once when she had broken the glass she was given spoiled milk in, Derrick had made sure she had been pulled on the broken glasses enough to peel her skin and the blood oozing out so much so that she had to take out the broken glasses out of her skin by herself.

That week was the week of even more terror for her as they made sure each afternoon under the scorching sun she was placed under whilst dry whiskey was thrown on her body and if she yelped and shouted she would be beaten with a whip wrapped in iron rods which dug deep into her skin removing some of her meat as it oozed out.

How on earth was she not going to scream when as the wounds added a bucket of raw dry whiskey was dripped on her slowly as it penetrated the parts she wished nothing touched at all.

She shook her head coming out of those thoughts she didn’t need to keep herself in such a part when she was ion a place where she was sure was filled with love.

Damn! Now she had drunk too much water that she had to pee.

She had not been walking on her own since that day she had collapsed in the garden with Xavier she had been put on a wheelchair on a constant but now she wanted to do this herself.

She was not going to be a burden to those who had tried to help her up; at least she should be able to take care of herself even if they weren’t around.

She flung her legs down the bed trying to feel if she had feelings in them, she finally stepped down on the floor not putting her legs on the slippers that had been put for her to put on when she was seated, the floor was icy cold, at least the feeling of cold on her leg was enough to let her know that she indeed had feelings in her system. She wasn’t all that dead if that was what she thought in her mind.

She winced a bit before she shifted to where her slippers  was and then she wore it slowly.

Shakily she began to take a step towards the bathroom somehow she was happy that she could even move the legs up and down.

The day she had ran out of Derricks’ pack she wondered how she had been able to forge herself out of there because she had not eaten that entire week and she was supposed to go yet another week without food because of well, she had not been penetrated even though she had used his fingers and sent them into her woman area hoping it was going to create a passage to a delightful sexual night for him and a painful one for her.

She had screamed out in pain as his fingers went in and out of her but still when his trousers were down and he brought out his ugly looking groin it still didn’t penetrate and this time it felt like something had burnt him from the first thrust that he ran out his trousers following him out.

That night she had been brought out in the midst of him and his other minions and she could decipher that they were asking her what she was because all the other ladies had been defiled and some where dead but why she difficult?

Well, she understood those words because they were talking and moving their hands and since she had tried to understand what they were saying through their lips and hand movements she too wondered where she was from because the beatings and insults were too many.

She was malnourished but never in a day was she heading to the grave because somehow it seemed her wolf helped her in some many ways even though she had been sent back for showcasing.

She continued her movements wincing as the steps she took only made her feel extreme pain, she continued and the she tried to take her hands off the walls to see if she could walk without something stabilizing her but well she found herself on the floor yelping.

“Oh! Okay maybe I am not strong enough for this” she said to herself with a small laugh showing indeed she was proud she had moved from the bed to the cupboard.

It wasn’t far but it was movement done by her.

Jacqueline must have been on her normal nurse runs as she met her on the floor and slowly rose her up. She helped her use the bathroom then helped her out of the bathroom without saying a word but deep down she was happy Nathalia had tried to do something by herself.

“How are you feeling this morning Nathalia?” she asked.

“Tired my ribs still hurt especially after I landed to the floor I think I did it too much didn’t I? you can shout at me if you want I shouldn’t have left my bed but rung the bell so you come and help me” she said knowing she had indeed done something wrong and maybe Jacqueline was not talking because she had plans of punishing her for going over her limits when it was not time.

But when was it the time?

“Understandable Nathie and no I am not mad at you, I am rather extremely excited that you took yourself to different levels so as to be independent and that shows that you are healing and I am proud of you” she said and then Nathalia gave her a small smile.

Someone was proud of her for doing something, just the same way her mother used to be proud of her when she had tried to make cookies even though they were burnt her mother had made sure that she ate of it and drank juice.

Her sister too was a cheerleader of hers and made sure that she was cheered their father ate of it and somehow that night her burnt cookie was the snack for movie night and nobody complaint about it being bitter but herself which made everyone laugh ensuring to tell her that they were certain that she was going to do better as she grew.

She wished they could just show up now to know she was alive and know she had found her mate and was going to see her sisters mate too and they could celebrate but all she had now were wishes for horses.

Jacqueline was done arranging the bathroom for her to bath in and after her bath she was helped to dress up as she began to speak.

“So I know today is the day I return home?” she asked as she looked at Jackie.

“Yes today is the day you get to go home honey”

“Did you tell Xavier I would wish to spend some days with you first?” she asked hoping she had told Xavier and he had not refused.

“He did accept for you to come and stay with me” she hesitated before she continued, “But it would be good for you to live with your mate so that you both can build memories together, you can live with me for a bit yes, but also your mate needs you and even though you think it’s not the best and safest I bet you it is the best” she said hoping she could understand what was being said to her.

“What do you mean?’ she asked as she looked at Jacqueline waiting for her to explain better.

“Well for starters, I spend a lot of time at the hospital taking care of patients and I won’t be home taking care of you two-four-seven.

But at the Pack house there are servants there who would help you eat, bath and go to the bathroom toll you are fine to handle your business yourself” 

“You showed me the pack library while you are out I could find me there till you are done from work and then I go home with you” she said hoping she had made an idea.

“Well you can do that, but what happens when I am at work and you have a problem maybe an anxiety attack, fear, dreams you can’t handle, maybe hallucinations? We aren’t talking now of the fear you have, we all understand your fear for men but what if something happens your health right now isn’t the best I could take you home with me for a week but then what if I am not there the entire week and you don’t take care of yourself and I have to come back tired to do it for you don’t you think it will be bad for you as it will be bad for myself?” 

“So what are you trying to say?” she asked deep down knowing she was being a burden a feeling she didn’t want to have but here it was.

“I am saying you should let Xavier take care of you, let him show you how love is, let him make you heal, share you with him as he shares himself with you, he is the safest route for you as you heal” she said hoping the young lady understood her perfectly well.

She looked at the doctor for a moment, seeing in her eyes that what she was saying was the truth but somehow the truth was knocking her harder than she had ever felt. She wasn’t a burden to Jacqueline, the doctor just had to work and not be bothered she was back home and might be going through a crisis if she insisted that would have never been fair for the doctor and she had to be considerate.

“You don’t have to decide now at this very minute take your time and make the decision okay?”

She nodded her head in acceptance.
