The twins and Antics

“Xavier Chadson Hills you found your mate and you didn’t think it was the perfect thing to tell your family?” his mother asked and from the way she said it he knew for a fact that she had said all of those words in capital letters meaning she was disappointed he had not shared the good news they all have been waiting for.

“I was waiting for her to get better” he replied not really knowing what he wanted to say because he knew Yvette and Joy had started a conversation he was not ready for just yet.

“Why are you waiting for her to get better before you introduce her to us and why haven’t you marked her already?” His mother asked still waiting for his response she had to know why.

She knew her son was not one to talk much but they all knew that he had been waiting for his mate for a very long time and now that she had come why did it seem like he was hiding her away from them?

“Because she is yet to accept me and I don’t want to make her hate me and reject me you know what it would do to me” he said and when he said those words immediately the Irish twins had a distant look in their eyes already and he knew that they felt like they had felt bad. And well that served them right.

“Are you both satisfied?” he asked as he looked at his siblings.

“Sorry Xavier, we didn’t know that part we just knew that you had found your mate” Joy said quietly.

“Hence, that the reason why I had not yet told anyone because she was yet to accept me” he said.

“We just don’t have an Irish twin thing going Ax had told us we just wanted you to let you know that we know that you have a mate” Yvette said.

Jesus he should have assumed that sometimes Ax loves to gossip with his siblings.

He may be my best friend and a fantastic Beta but it turned out that he gossiped with his siblings more than he did with him.

And he was always creeped out by the way Yvette and Joy always behaved and then just like that he had been lured to tell them about Nathalia just that he didn’t and had not told them she was traumatized.

“Of course it was bloody Ax” he said.

“He told us that you were planning to kill her until you had found out she was your mate and he also said she was a pretty and she looks like a walking dead” Yvette said as she was the talkative person of the Irish twins.

“Is that true son? Did you find your mate” his father asked.

He simply nodded and then he lay back down on the chair and he felt drained because how was he going to be tell them that his mate needed help?

“You never answered my questions Xavier” Joy asked as she waiting for her brother to answer her on how old his mate was.

“Well, Joy to answer your questions she is twenty four” he replied curtly as he closed his eyes and put his arm on his face trying to hide his face from the anger he was feeling.

There was silence.

“Xavier?” His mom said with a soft tone as she didn’t wanting to make even more tensed with the questions he was about asking. 

“Because at that time I didn’t know that she was my mate all I knew was that she was rogue and trespassed into our land which was punishable by death and we all know this but when Ax and Red saw her they couldn’t do the needful hence they called me”

“Why was she trespassing and why was she a rogue to begin with” his father asked wanting to know everything.

“She was trying to get away from her kidnappers” he said not going further.

“Oh my God!” his mother yelped as she could imagine just what the young girl had gone through.

Sucking in a sharp breath he finally sat up hoping they just would not ask him more question so he could deal with Nathalia for now before he finally tells those many things.

“Ask your questions” he said as he knew that they wanted to ask himso many questions.

“What is her name?”  

“Nathalia”

“When was she kidnapped?” 

“When she was about six, and she was held for fifteen whole years and she only managed to escape two weeks ago”

“Why did Ax say she looked like death then?” his mother asked hoping he would just tell them everything they had to know for sure they knew asking him all of these questions where bugging him especially with the way he was making his face when the questions were asked.

For sure he could deny telling them and just be difficult but the fact that he knew that even if he denied telling them now he still was going to tell them some other time he simply decided to tell them everything.

Beside Nathalia was his mate and she was for sure going to be at the pack for a long period of time and she was also going to rule with him that was if she didn’t reject him.

“Because she had been abused and traumatized as she at the rogue pack, as we speak she has not been able to trust me yet but she for sure trust Jacqueline and I am happy she has been trying to open up to me even though I feel so bad and my anger frightens her too.

“Who was the evil demon who chose to hurt a young child so much so that she doesn’t want to have people around her?” his mother asked her heart breaking already as she knew that if the young lady didn’t want her mate by her side it meant she had gone through things that nobody could handle and yet she still was alive.

She was skinny as it was and all he wanted was for her body build to grow and also for her to be able to deal with people around her without fear.

All his family sat quiet for a moment even the twins as they wanted to digest the situation now they all knew why he had gone up to the mountain and had decided to let out his hurt there and with the way he sounded it for sure meant that he was hurting so much with the way she drove him away from her with her feeling jumping here and there.

“Xavier?” 

“Yes Joy” he answered waiting to hear the story she was going to tell him because he was simply just waiting for them to become troublesome with their numerous questions.

“So why hasn’t she accepted you yet?” His father asked and somehow he thought his father was going loco because from all what he had explained he expected that they should know the trauma she had gone through and it was going to take some time for her to adjust before she went even further and yet he was asking him that question it just made him mad.

“Why do you think she hasn’t accepted me yet father?” he asked his father as he opened his eyes a very traumatizing manner.

His father raised his eyes at him for the tone he had used and then he only could roll his eyes, he was going through a lot and having them ask him these questions somehow it just made him feel like they were not getting his point and he just didn’t want to keep answering this question.

“Well, she is scared of me, she sees me as Derrick the rogue who had her kidnapped she thinks I am going to harm her, her anxiety levels get heighten when she explains something to me and Mathias my wolf can’t handle it talk less of me, she has PTSD to which I have witnesses with myself and I have had to relearn signage because she only communicates by signing” he replied with a frown on his face.

“Well, that so bad Xav, we hope she gets better” the Irish twin said at the same time causing him to look at them weirdly before he shook his head accepting their pity towards him and his mate.

“We really need her to accept you so fast because we need her to be our LUNA” Yvette said hoping he could hear the excitement in her voice.

“Don’t you think that’s what I am trying to do egghead?” he said as he looked at her Yvette was pissed her brother had just called her that.

He held his hands up to stop his mother from asking more questions.

“This lady has gone through the hand of hell and the only thing I can tell you now is that she has to get well you all should stop being nosy” he said and they all just looked at him with confused but calm faces because well he had been with his mate for two weeks he surely knew what he was saying and they didn’t have to push so much.

“Well Xavier that was not very nice, we all are simply just hoping to see this lady and we all want you happy you don’t have to treat us this way” his father said to which he groaned running his hand through his face he sure was guilty he was letting his emotions run this evening he was never like this and it was bad that his anger was going to his parents and he knew that they all loved him and he didn’t have to be a difficult person at all.

“I am sorry father and mother I will keep trying” he said very wearily as they could all see the stress underneath his eyes.

As he was still with his parents Ax mind linked him, “Alpha?” he called hoping the link was open and had not been blocked by Xavier.

“Yes Ax?” he responded waiting for the complaint or solution.

“Some rogues from the East have come here at the border and they all say they have somne important news for you” 

“Why haven’t you killed them? Why leave them give you news?” he asked his hands already clenching together as he thought they were becoming weak.

“We have a message from our leader as he doesn’t want to fight but tell you that the prisoner who ran the other day she is a weakling and if taken into any pack she is going to bring just bad luck and troubles there so he advises that we tell you all big pack leaders if she is found she should be publicly humiliated and killed as she has nothing to offer but sadness”

And just then it clicked, they had been looking for her and since they didn’t find her they now want anyone who finds her to murder her because she can’t talk and they think she is a weakling.

Oh goddess he was going to murder them because they deserved it and just then he looked at Ax and Red and they knew what to do.

Within seconds the rogues where on the ground and then he looked at them focused, “From now on the borders should be very well protected as in I mean there should be eyes watching at every time no lingering”

As he finished talking he felt his mate pull, damn something must be wrong with Nathalia as he ran into the pack house to see just what was wrong.
