Although it was a difficult thing to do, I accepted to talk to Alan about Chloe. It was still hard to believe that she was only willing to keep my secret if I did what she wanted, but with my current predicament, I had no other choice but to play along. Even though she was my best friend who I never thought would do such thing.

I walked home alone when Chloe and I separated with lots of thoughts in my mind. First thing that bothered me was how Chloe reacted to the professor being my mate. She had been ready to swear that the moongoddess had nothing to do with the mating bond, but I had managed to convince her otherwise. Now with the way she reacted, I couldn’t tell how she was going to react if she ever found out about Alan, not only because he was my stepbrother, but because she also had a crush on him. Was my best friend going to turn on me because of a man when that time came? Or would she forget every feeling she had for him and stand by me?
