Alan came back thirty minutes after Freya and I did with a smug look on his face. He walked into the garden to meet me but instead of coming closer so that we could talk without being heard, he stopped at a distance and placed both hands into the pockets of the ridiculously good-looking pants he had on. I had to admit that seeing him dressed in such spectacular outfit and sitting with Chloe at the café made me feel jealous. The café was intimate, and he was only supposed to go to such places with me. I had tried my best not to follow them, not to show him that their date annoyed me, but all my efforts was thrown through the window when Freya came up with the idea of spying on both of them.

And he had made the whole thing worse by kissing Chloe.
