Ciara never remained the same after our conversation and everyone in the house, including Alan noticed it. She became moody and snapped unnecessarily at the servants who were already growing to love her as the woman of the house. The only person she seemed to appear normal to, was my father and that was because she had to pretend in front of him in order not to get him sicker than we already feared.
