Chapter 96

Alan

After a successful burial ceremony and mourning period for the alpha, I stood in the garden of the house, thinking about the responsibilities that were about to befall me. The beta and gamma of the pack had prepared me for the coronation ceremony which was to happen in few minutes’ times, and I couldn’t wait for the whole thing to be over and done with. The sounds of footstep from behind had me turning at once to see Freya walking towards me. I offered her a genuine smile, just realizing that since the banishment of Zachary from the pack, she and I hadn’t said a word to eachother. But she didn’t return my smile. Instead, she stopped few meters away from where I stood and stared deeply into my eyes.

“Do you feel ready?” She asked in one of her serious voices. I looked at her in confusion and it wasn’t until she tilted her head to the side did I understand what she was asking.

“I do not know…”

“You are supposed to know, Alan, you are about to be made the alpha of two great packs.”
