She was asking for a very difficult thing from me, and I wanted to refuse the request. I wanted to run away and tell her no one but Alexa was allowed to see Nate, but there was something in the way she looked at me that had me rethinking my decision.

“Alan had no business telling you about me.” I said to her in an unusually soft voice, and she immediately nodded in agreement.

“He didn’t, but since he did, why don’t you just show me?” she answered with pleading eyes. “Being a lycan is not something to be ashamed of, Zachary, you are supposed to be proud.”
