Melissa

After successfully calling me a child, Alan went back to avoiding me like I didn’t exist, which now meant I was being ignored by my two mates. At school the next day, I sat quietly in the cafeteria after closing hours, still thinking about Zachary and Alan. Things were now worse with Zachary ever since he found out I had sex with Alan, and I had no idea what to do. I looked around the empty space, taking note of the scattered chairs and tables and also the stall which was already locked since everyone had gone home.

Why aren’t we leaving, Melissa? I asked myself because I had no idea why I was still seated in school when everyone had long been gone. A deep sigh escaped my lips, and I placed my head on the table to calm my nerves. The situation with my father suddenly came crashing down on me again, forcing me to remember that we were also not in talking terms. Another reason why I was seated alone in school instead of going home
