I walked into the house of beta Alphonso like I owned the place, and the two servants at the door bowed their heads in respect. I turned to look at the one nearest to me with inquisitive eyes and she pointed towards the stairway to Chloe’s room, alerting me that she was there. Without thanking her, I took the stairs two at a time, ignoring another servant who was walking down the hallway and pushed open Chloe’s door.

“Oh goddess!!” I exclaimed, turning away immediately when I saw she and her mate in a compromising situation, similar to the one I caught my father and the luna in. “Bad day for me, I guess.” I said to myself as I waited outside Chloe’s door, grateful that the tears from my eyes were all dried up.
