Diane's POV
I don’t know why it hurts so much. My legs were trembling, and I fought hard to hold my tears at bay, but they poured like twin streams as his words hit me like rocks in the chest. Even when he turned and saw me behind him, it didn’t change anything. I really meant nothing to him, just as he had told Jaden. He doesn't care a bit about me, and realizing it was so heartbreaking. I don’t know why I was thinking he came here for me. He doesn’t even know the school he was attending. “What are you doing here? Why are you coming to my office? because I can't remember asking to meet any of you!” He snapped with a deep frown. “I am sorry. We will be leaving.” Jaden smirked as he walked up to me. “Let us go, baby. You heard him clearly.” He said smugly and tried to grab my hand, but I yanked my hand off him. “Leave me alone, and don’t you ever call me baby. You fool!!” I bawled, the pain in my heart growing every second, mixed with anger as I felt crushed by the both of them. I was so excited to meet Leo, but it seemed he isn’t different from Jaden. They both made me feel loved. They made me believe in them and give up my heart only for it to be crushed and trashed. “You will crawl back begging when your breasts and pussy are all over the school web. Your anger can't change anything.” Jaden guffawed, walking away with raised shoulders. “I hate you. I hate you with all my heart, and I swear if you do this, I will make sure you pay for it. I will...” I yelled at Jaden, but my voice hitched in my throat when I heard Leo’s office door slam shut. I was broken; my vision blurred with hot tears as I stared at the door, my lips quivering. How did I trust him? I was over the moon believing Leo was in this school to help me, but it seems I was totally wrong, and the man here wasn't the same man that night. To him, it was just a one-night stand with no strings attached, and he doesn’t want to have anything to do with me. He clearly saw that Jaden was about to destroy me, yet he turned his back on me. My legs gave up on me, and I crashed on the floor, sobbing under my palm. My expectations killed me. I only met Leo that night, but it was like we had been together for years. I felt a connection I had never had before, and he didn't treat me like a stranger. He made me believe he really loved me. After what Jaden did to me, I was bent on staying away from any guy, but Leo changed my mind so quickly. He was more mature and treated me like his little princess. How would I have ever thought it was just for the moment? Why does he suddenly hate me now? What did I do wrong? I gave him my body without a second thought, but he left me like a whore, leaving money for me. So he really saw me as a slut? “No, it can't be.” I shook my head, standing up in a rush. I hit a hard knock on his door. “Who is there?” He asked, but I said nothing and knocked harder. He opened the door, and I barged in even before he could say anything. “What is all this, Leo? I understand you're now my teacher, and it is hard to show any public affection to avoid scandals, but that doesn't mean you should treat me like a stranger. You even act like you hate me!” I bawled as he slowly closed the door and turned to me. He had a confused expression on his face. “I don't hate you. I barely know you. Maybe it's your expectation that is making you go crazy.” “At least be friendly to me. We had one of the best moments of…” “Diane, I can barely remember all that happened that night. It is in the past, and if I had made you think I was in love with you, I am sorry because I only wanted someone to spend the night with.” He sighed and shrugged. “You offered yourself to me. You literally asked me for it, and I accepted. I even paid more than required for a night.” I couldn't control myself as I closed the gap between us and raised my hand to slap him, but he seized my hand up in the air. “Don't try that. You can leave and think of how to deal with your personal issues. When you have any questions about any math topic I teach, then I can help you out.” He growled, and I searched in his eyes to see at least a glint of love and care, but none of that was in there, just raw unfamiliarity. He yanked my hand down and headed to the door, which he opened and pointed at the exit for me. “So to you, that night I was just one of the sex workers you picked for the night? It is alright. I was the stupid one. I fell for your lies and deception and gave you my….” “Remember, I never asked for it. You gave it voluntarily. I am not to be blamed for anything. I will love it if you forget all that and face your life while I do the same. You are just one of my students.” I felt more stupid. I could remember everything that happened that night, and he was right. I didn't even know him much, yet I offered myself to him like a worthless obsessed bitch. “Please leave before people start thinking otherwise,” he seethed, hissing in frustration as if my presence was itching him. Does he hate me this much? “You are worse than Jaden!” I spat and stormed out. I ran out, and even when it wasn't break time yet, I didn't enter the class but went to the garden to cry out my eyes. It was finally time to tell my parents everything so they would take me out of this country. My heart felt like it was pierced with a lance when Leo's hurtful words echoed in my head once again. He really doesn't give a damn even if I died. Maybe he was right; I was the fool that expected a lot when it was just a one-night stand. And there is Jaden setting up an evil plan for me. Fuck! Everything went fast that day, and soon enough the closing bell rang. I went back to the classroom and was literally the first to pick my bag from the locker and head out. Jaden showed up as I was rushing home. “So your knight in shining armor has also dumped you.” He mocked and laughed from behind, but I ignored. “Your parents are trying to venture into politics. Why do you want to do this to them?” He added, and I felt my heart grow heavy and tears welled up again in my eyes. “You are the one destroying me. You see, you are also putting my parents' future at risk. I did nothing wrong to you other than love and trust you. We agreed to delete all that, but you kept yours. You see how evil you are!” “I am not that wicked. In fact, I have changed my mind, but under some conditions.” He smiled, wiping my tears with his thumb. “What is it?” “I don't like Leo a bit, and with the way he treated you a few hours ago, I am sure you have also killed whatever feelings you have for him, right?” “Jaden, what condition are you talking about?!” I snapped. “Okay, I want you to pull a false accusation of rape against him. That night you were quite drunk, and everyone in the bar saw how he carried you in his arms and took you to the hotel. Don't worry about how to prove it; my family lawyer will deal with it. Just….” “You must be joking!” I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief. I can't believe he could say something like this. “That is the first condition. The other is that you offer yourself to me twice every week. I really miss your body. I badly want to feel myself inside….” “Go to hell!” I shrieked in anger and walked away. “Greet your parents for me…” He said aloud and laughed. I wiped my tears, clutching my bag tight as I hurried back home. As I got in and saw my father gisting and teasing my mother with so much happiness, my heart sank in deep sadness. I could imagine how sour everything would turn when Jaden leaks all that. It would be the perfect tool for their enemies to bring them down. Jaden even has a picture of me and Leo in that hotel while I drink. I was also seen kissing him. Shit! I bite my lower lip as the thought of complying with Jaden's deal crept into my mind. My heart clenched tight as I thought of Leo's life getting destroyed by me when I was the one who forced him to do all that to me. Even the kiss, I forced it on him. But my parents don't deserve this too… God! “Hey, dear… What happened? Why are you just standing there? You are crying? What is wrong?" They both rushed at me, love and compassion brimming in their eyes. “Tell me who hurt you in school. Tell me what the problem is.” My father asked with a serious tone. “Yes, daughter. You shouldn't be hiding anything from us. We are here for you and will help you with anything." My mother added, sitting me on her lap and tucking my hair. They both loved and cared for me even more than themselves, and Leo made it clear I was nothing to him. Why the hell was it hard to accept Jaden's deal? “Is it Jaden?” my father asked in an angry tone, hatred glinting in his eyes. “Yes, he broke up with me.” I exhaled, and they both sighed in relief. “Is that why you're killing yourself? I swear, daughter, it is good news.” My mother cooed, pecking my cheek. “You will soon realize it is good news. That boy isn't a good guy for you at all. His parents are even worse.” My father breathed, clasping my palm with his. I nodded and forced out a smile. “You both are right. I will move on from him. He is a wicked guy.” I sniffed, drying my tears. “Go and change so you can come down and eat.” My mother said and pecked me before I hurried up the stairs. As soon as I reached my room, I picked up my phone and called Jaden. “I will do as you say. Don't upload that.”My eyes flew open as water was sprinkled on my face, jolting me back to consciousness. I have no idea how long I had passed out, but the moment I opened my eyes, I realized I was in a room I couldn't recognize. I could still hear the noise of students outside, which showed I was still in the school. As I shook my head and tried to wipe the water off my face, I realized my two hands couldn't move. It was tied behind me as I sat on the chair. Not even my legs were free. “Sorry, I had to tie you up, but it is the only way to make things go faster and easier.” The voice of Helen made me shiver. I quickly recalled what had happened earlier. She took me out of class to show me something she said was good news. Then I was attacked from behind. How did I end up here? So it was her plan to lure me out of the classroom. “Miss Helen, what is going on?” I demanded in shock and confusion, raising my head to look at her, so I would be sure she was really the one. She stood tall in front of m
Diane's POV I had struggled to tell my parents everything, but I just couldn't. As we ate breakfast together in the dining room this morning, I tried again, but I would look into their eyes and see it was all filled with delight and peace. I just couldn't say anything, not wanting to ruin it all.I listened to them talk about their gradual success in their political ambition; my heart felt like it was squeezed tight, and I fought my tears from falling, knowing soon enough it would all be destroyed by the same guy they had warned me to stay away from.It would really hit them like a bomb when Jaden leaked my nudes tape and I ended up bringing shame to my family name. It hurts more that I just lost on both sides because he has also used me to bring down Leo with that rape allegation. My heart was racing, and a bead of sweat formed on my forehead as I headed to the classroom. Every eye looking at me shook me with anxiety as I wondered if they had seen it all on the school web. Jaden
“Leo, were you among the robbers? You were the one who got rid of that video from Jaden?” I asked breathlessly as tears fell from my eyes.“I wish I could just hate you. I really don't know what is wrong with me.” He hissed and walked back to his chair and sat, crossing his legs on the table and looking up at me with a grim expression.“I am really sorry I did that video. He made me do it with the promise of not releasing those naked videos of mine. My parents are beginning their political careers, and our future relies on it. I was really scared. It will ruin them if…”“I believe you.” He breathed. “It sucks, but I fucking believe everything you say. Now clean those tears and leave.”"Thank you so much! We will see after school!" I squeaked before scurrying out, grinning from ear to ear.He just saved me again and now I don't think I can control it anymore. I am in love.Leo's POVA knock came on my door just immediately Diane left and as I got to the door, a young woman was standing
Diane's POVMy joy knew no bounds.I have no idea if he meant it, saying he had forgiven me because his eyes showed no emotions, but I just felt so excited. As I entered the class, I saw that my request to be placed in the front row had been accepted.Today just seemed to be much better than I thought. I avoided Jaden's glare as I made my way to my new seat in the left corner. I sighed in relief, taking out a novel to read.I hadn't read one full line before a teacher walked in. I could recognize her as our computer science teacher.“Did we have her now?” I asked myself as I tried checking the timetable, but she walked up to me with a smile.“Are you Diane?” She asked, and I nodded, smiling back.“Oh, I see. Follow me to my office; I have good news for you.” She displayed her white set of teeth, offering her hand to me.Wow.It felt so good. What other blessing does God have for me today?“Oh, I am really curious.” I beamed.“Yeah, I have to show you this.” She said, and we both walke
Do you know Helen?” He asked, and my heart skipped a beat; a little gasp slipped from my lips as I heard the question.“She is my teacher. Um... Computer science teacher. What about her?” I asked, trying to keep my tone smooth.“She hates you because she thinks we are dating secretly.” He scoffed, and I acted shocked, covering my mouth.“What? Why would she think such a thing?”“If she ever threatens you, let me know. I will make sure…” His voice paused, and the car came to a screeching halt. His eyes had landed on my wrists, and he seemed to have seen the red stripes of that rope Helen used to tie my hands.“Who did that to you?” He asked with a deep growl, those eyes growing darker as he took my hand and stared into the lines.“No no, no... it was a game. We…I…” My voice was stuttering. Helen had warned me not to tell anyone and I am scared she would hurt me.“If you don't want to tell me the truth, then it's fine.” He shrugged.“Why do you suddenly care? You said I meant nothing t
Shit! I cursed under my breath as I headed to the door.I opened it, and there she was, sitting on the floor at the doorstep.“What the fuck!”“I was going to wait till you ever came out. Leo, you have no idea how much I want you. No one has ever made me go crazy, and I just can’t get you out of my mind.” She mumbled as she stood to her feet, looking at me with wet eyes filled with lust and affection. “You can come in.” I breathed, and her brown eyes twinkled, a huge smile spreading across her face as she tucked her blonde hair and gave me a long look.“Are you for real?”“Yes.” I smiled, and she was overwhelmed.“You had never smiled at me…” she squeaked as she entered my office, and just before she could fully turn to me, I gripped her neck and pinned her to the wall, my eyes piercing at her.“Do you want it here or in your office?” I whispered, nibbling her earlobe.“I can’t hold on till we get there.” She gasped as my other hand groped her left breast.“I have been thinking… May
Leo's POV The noise was low and shuffled. I had to place my ears close enough to the door to hear it. When I twisted the doorknob, it was locked from the inside, which meant someone or a group of people was inside. I had thought of walking away since school had closed, and I really don't want to get involved with anything. Whatever made them lock themselves in there must be a secret, and I already have a lot to be worried about. Just a few steps away from the door, it was like a heaviness in my chest, and I couldn't bear to walk away. It was as if someone important to me was in there. Without any more hesitation, I took out the two tiny steels from my pocket, pushed them into the holes, and was able to unlock the door. As I pushed the door open, my jaw dropped, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The two guys jumped away from her; one was Jaden, and the other was the same student Diane had told me was her new boyfriend. Diane was lying helplessly on the floor, her pants flung away
She was just at the gate as I watched like a personal bodyguard to make sure she entered safely before I drove off.“Hi, Sir. Thank you so much for today.” That was the message that popped up on my phone just immediately after I got back home.I almost slapped myself as I caught my face beaming with a wide smile. I can’t tell why her message made me feel this happy.“It is no big deal.” I typed and sent knowing fully well that this wasn’t what I wanted to tell her. My only fear of getting close to her was that she may find out about my real identity.I saw the lashing fear in her eyes when I almost killed those rapists. She was terrified just by the sight of blood and couldn’t stand it for one second. How much more would she be scared of me when she found out that I was a bloody killer who had lost count of how many bodies he had dropped.“Have you gotten home? What do you plan to eat?” Another message from her and my lips curled. The cheeky emojis she uses at the end of every text ar
Just when I thought everything was well planned out, it came crashing and turning all sour. Someone was behind the shadows ruining my mission just so I wouldn’t gain my freedom. My chest rumbled, and rage boiled inside me like a raging fire. I could feel my whole body burning, veins red and sprouting as I clenched my teeth to control myself. The last time I felt this way was when my father was killed, and now it was back. That monster that turned me into a villain, killing every trace of empathy inside me.My eyes moved to the gate where Diane had rushed in, and I felt like a knife was stabbed to my chest. All I wanted was to keep it a secret and finish this mission; then we would live that life I dreamed of. But someone from my organization decided to destroy it all.“Just pray I don’t get you!” I bellowed, entering the car and zooming off to the location Sofia had sent to me.As I got close, I found out it was her house. She called me as soon as the gate was opened for me.“I am gla
“No, I don’t.” I snapped, “Tell me what is going on! What did she read in those files that made her say what she said? Apart from you being a mafia member, what else is the reason she has to put you in jail?! What are you not telling me?!”“Diane, the mistake we made is allowing those files to get to her hand. Now I have to find a way to get it without any negotiation because I don’t think she will offer any reasonable one.”“Why do you think so? She is our friend!” I retorted, but he let out an empty chuckle.“She is not our friend. Even if she is, now she has gone through that document, it is all over.”“What did she read in it?” I asked. “Tell me!”He paused, looking me in the eyes, filled with different emotions I couldn’t understand. He tried saying something but clamped his lips shut, shaking his head. “I can’t tell you.” He breathed, and just then his phone beeped. He checked and quickly distanced himself from me.Leo’s POVI really wonder where I went wrong in my plan. This wo
Diane's POV It was like cold water was splashed all over my body, my blood running cold as I stared at him hoping he would tell me it was a prank or some sort of funny joke just to tease me.But none of that happened. I watched him collapse on the chair there, his eyes shimmering with anxiety and the veins in his arms and neck sprouting harshly.I moved closer and picked up the bag, turning it upside down, allowing everything in it to pour out. Just a few of my books, the pistol, and the cellphone, but that document wasn’t there. I was sure it was there when I left for Sofia's place. Why did I not check before leaving?I slept off, and once I woke, I ran out without telling her just so I wouldn’t have to give her the explanation she demanded. My mind didn’t think of rechecking my bag. But why would she sneak into the room and take this?“Who took it?” Leo asked as those fiery eyes landed on me.“I really don’t know, but… I can only suspect Sofia.”“Were you sleeping? How did you allo
I entered a taxi and went back home.“Go to a forest and hide all you took from this house that could implicate me. For now, I am a suspect, and the cops can barge in anytime!” I typed and sent it to my men. They weren’t among those I suspect because none of them knows of the safe lock inside my office, so they aren’t the ones who gave this information to the cops. I took a quick bath and dressed up in casual wear, covering my face with a cap before heading out through the back door.I had a feeling someone was keeping an eye on me, so I had to sneak out secretly to avoid being followed since I was heading to Diane’s house. I don’t want any of this to be linked with her. She is just too innocent to be involved in this even though I had made her do a lot for me today. She hadn’t called me yet or sent any text. I don’t expect any because she would be really angry at me. That’s if it hadn’t turned to hatred because she must have seen what those files contained.I was just lucky she didn’
Imagine the world knowing about my relationship with my teacher, who turned out to be a mafia gang. I would be an accomplice to whatever evil he had committed.“I have to make a call to my father then.” She sighed, giving me a suspicious look. “But you have to tell me everything! No lies and secrets between us!”I nodded hard as I looked ahead, and they were almost done with the car in front of us.She made the call, her voice low as she discussed it with her father. My heart was racing, and I was panting, praying silently for God to save me the last time.“Lower your head and lie low. They must not see you…” She mouthed to me, and I did as she said immediately. It worked. I heard someone telling the cops to allow us to pass after the window was rolled down and they saw her. Whoever her father was, he must be a powerful man to make them give an exception to her.We drove out and kept a distance away before I poked out my head, exhaling heavily.“Thank you so much….” I sniffed, hugging
Diane's POV I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched the cops put the handcuff around his wrist, confusion written all over his face, but he didn’t struggle or try to contest. My eyes wandered around, and I could see the bewildered look on everyone’s face as they stared at him, unsure if they could possibly believe he was a killer.Leo’s eyes fell on me at that moment, and I could see sadness and disbelief in there. It was as if someone betrayed and sold him out.My heart squeezed tight, and every part of me froze as I sniffed the tears that welled up in my eyes. It was like slow motion as Leo was taken away, disappearing from my eyes just after he had promised he wouldn't be caught. How did they trace it to him? Didn’t he assure me that all evidence was cleared? And also, he told me he didn’t kill Jaden’s father, so why are they accusing him of that too?He was poisoned. How could he possibly kill someone? But then I remembered Helen was dead too, so there was no one to confess to hi
“Sorry, I had to lie because someone might be listening to us, and you know how nosy they can be.”“Oh, maybe I should return to class and show him the question some other time since you both are busy together.” She grinned, but Diane shook her head.“No no no…. We aren’t doing anything just casual conversation. Let’s check the math problem together, and he can teach us both.”“No.” Sofia adamantly refused. “I feel you’re just trying to be nice. Enjoy your time with him. After all, I can ask him the question when he comes to teach us in the afternoon.”She waved with a wide smile, walking out hastily.I just stood there with my hands in my pockets. She gave me a wink before leaving, but I didn’t even act like I saw it. The only thing on my mind was how I would take her to my boss. She has no idea the pain and torture she was going to face later in life. She may be really falling for me, but soon she would realize how far she should have run away and left the country.“That girl is so
“You really love Leo and couldn’t bear betraying him. I will have to send you to hell so you wait for him. Don’t worry; in just less than an hour, he will be there with you…” Chan laughed evilly, and my body paralyzed with horror.I tried to talk. To beg for my life, but my lips could only move with no word coming out. The sound of the gun getting cocked made my throat hitch as my life flashed in front of me.“I won’t betray…you…Please don’t…”“That is a lie. And besides, you know a lot of my secrets. Keeping you is a risk!”That was the last thing I heard before a gunshot. But I wasn’t dead. I didn’t feel any bullet; instead, someone fell dead. Then the sound came again and again from an angle I couldn’t tell because I was struck with terror at these sounds. All I knew was that someone well trained had appeared from inside this house and killed these men. Jaden’s father was the last. He couldn’t even fire two shots before he was brought down. From a corner, a young woman I had never
“He won’t agree. I love him, but he doesn’t love me the same way.” I sighed, feeling the heaviness in my heart.“Then find a fucking way! He still wants you to be his girlfriend as a shield over his secret romance with Diane, so why not use a breakup to threaten him? Tell him to visit you or you will end it all!” He snapped at me, and I swallowed hard, pondering if I should do this. With Jaden’s father's tone, I could swear he would kill Leo if he got hold of him.“Leo didn’t kill your son. That is the last thing he can do. He may look cold and mean, but he isn’t so bad as to gun them down as you claimed. Even if he probably did, the evidence will show up soon. Why not allow the cops to…”“I just sent you your half payment for the job. When you’re done, you won’t only be paid the rest but also become the school proprietor. I know how much you wanted that position.” He said, and it was like he snapped my mouth shut as I couldn’t talk anymore and checked my phone.I screamed as I saw a
