Chapter 5

Diane's POV

I don’t know why it hurts so much. My legs were trembling, and I fought hard to hold my tears at bay, but they poured like twin streams as his words hit me like rocks in the chest.

Even when he turned and saw me behind him, it didn’t change anything. I really meant nothing to him, just as he had told Jaden. He doesn't care a bit about me, and realizing it was so heartbreaking. I don’t know why I was thinking he came here for me. He doesn’t even know the school he was attending.

“What are you doing here? Why are you coming to my office? because I can't remember asking to meet any of you!” He snapped with a deep frown.

“I am sorry. We will be leaving.” Jaden smirked as he walked up to me.

“Let us go, baby. You heard him clearly.” He said smugly and tried to grab my hand, but I yanked my hand off him.

“Leave me alone, and don’t you ever call me baby. You fool!!” I bawled, the pain in my heart growing every second, mixed with anger as I felt crushed by the both of them. I was so excited to meet Leo, but it seemed he isn’t different from Jaden.

They both made me feel loved. They made me believe in them and give up my heart only for it to be crushed and trashed.

“You will crawl back begging when your breasts and pussy are all over the school web. Your anger can't change anything.” Jaden guffawed, walking away with raised shoulders.

“I hate you. I hate you with all my heart, and I swear if you do this, I will make sure you pay for it. I will...” I yelled at Jaden, but my voice hitched in my throat when I heard Leo’s office door slam shut.

I was broken; my vision blurred with hot tears as I stared at the door, my lips quivering. How did I trust him? I was over the moon believing Leo was in this school to help me, but it seems I was totally wrong, and the man here wasn't the same man that night.

To him, it was just a one-night stand with no strings attached, and he doesn’t want to have anything to do with me. He clearly saw that Jaden was about to destroy me, yet he turned his back on me.

My legs gave up on me, and I crashed on the floor, sobbing under my palm. My expectations killed me. I only met Leo that night, but it was like we had been together for years. I felt a connection I had never had before, and he didn't treat me like a stranger.

He made me believe he really loved me. After what Jaden did to me, I was bent on staying away from any guy, but Leo changed my mind so quickly. He was more mature and treated me like his little princess.

How would I have ever thought it was just for the moment? Why does he suddenly hate me now?

What did I do wrong? I gave him my body without a second thought, but he left me like a whore, leaving money for me. So he really saw me as a slut?

“No, it can't be.” I shook my head, standing up in a rush.

I hit a hard knock on his door.

“Who is there?” He asked, but I said nothing and knocked harder.

He opened the door, and I barged in even before he could say anything.

“What is all this, Leo? I understand you're now my teacher, and it is hard to show any public affection to avoid scandals, but that doesn't mean you should treat me like a stranger. You even act like you hate me!” I bawled as he slowly closed the door and turned to me.

He had a confused expression on his face. “I don't hate you. I barely know you. Maybe it's your expectation that is making you go crazy.”

“At least be friendly to me. We had one of the best moments of…”

“Diane, I can barely remember all that happened that night. It is in the past, and if I had made you think I was in love with you, I am sorry because I only wanted someone to spend the night with.” He sighed and shrugged.

“You offered yourself to me. You literally asked me for it, and I accepted. I even paid more than required for a night.”

I couldn't control myself as I closed the gap between us and raised my hand to slap him, but he seized my hand up in the air.

“Don't try that. You can leave and think of how to deal with your personal issues. When you have any questions about any math topic I teach, then I can help you out.” He growled, and I searched in his eyes to see at least a glint of love and care, but none of that was in there, just raw unfamiliarity.

He yanked my hand down and headed to the door, which he opened and pointed at the exit for me.

“So to you, that night I was just one of the sex workers you picked for the night? It is alright. I was the stupid one. I fell for your lies and deception and gave you my….”

“Remember, I never asked for it. You gave it voluntarily. I am not to be blamed for anything. I will love it if you forget all that and face your life while I do the same. You are just one of my students.”

I felt more stupid. I could remember everything that happened that night, and he was right. I didn't even know him much, yet I offered myself to him like a worthless obsessed bitch.

“Please leave before people start thinking otherwise,” he seethed, hissing in frustration as if my presence was itching him.

Does he hate me this much?

“You are worse than Jaden!” I spat and stormed out.

I ran out, and even when it wasn't break time yet, I didn't enter the class but went to the garden to cry out my eyes.

It was finally time to tell my parents everything so they would take me out of this country.

My heart felt like it was pierced with a lance when Leo's hurtful words echoed in my head once again. He really doesn't give a damn even if I died.

Maybe he was right; I was the fool that expected a lot when it was just a one-night stand.

And there is Jaden setting up an evil plan for me.

Everything went fast that day, and soon enough the closing bell rang. I went back to the classroom and was literally the first to pick my bag from the locker and head out.

Jaden showed up as I was rushing home. “So your knight in shining armor has also dumped you.” He mocked and laughed from behind, but I ignored.

“Your parents are trying to venture into politics. Why do you want to do this to them?” He added, and I felt my heart grow heavy and tears welled up again in my eyes.

“You are the one destroying me. You see, you are also putting my parents' future at risk. I did nothing wrong to you other than love and trust you. We agreed to delete all that, but you kept yours. You see how evil you are!”

“I am not that wicked. In fact, I have changed my mind, but under some conditions.” He smiled, wiping my tears with his thumb.

“What is it?”

“I don't like Leo a bit, and with the way he treated you a few hours ago, I am sure you have also killed whatever feelings you have for him, right?”

“Jaden, what condition are you talking about?!” I snapped.

“Okay, I want you to pull a false accusation of rape against him. That night you were quite drunk, and everyone in the bar saw how he carried you in his arms and took you to the hotel. Don't worry about how to prove it; my family lawyer will deal with it. Just….”

“You must be joking!” I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief. I can't believe he could say something like this.

“That is the first condition. The other is that you offer yourself to me twice every week. I really miss your body. I badly want to feel myself inside….”

“Go to hell!” I shrieked in anger and walked away.

“Greet your parents for me…” He said aloud and laughed.

I wiped my tears, clutching my bag tight as I hurried back home.

As I got in and saw my father gisting and teasing my mother with so much happiness, my heart sank in deep sadness. I could imagine how sour everything would turn when Jaden leaks all that.

It would be the perfect tool for their enemies to bring them down. Jaden even has a picture of me and Leo in that hotel while I drink. I was also seen kissing him.

Shit!

I bite my lower lip as the thought of complying with Jaden's deal crept into my mind. My heart clenched tight as I thought of Leo's life getting destroyed by me when I was the one who forced him to do all that to me. Even the kiss, I forced it on him.

But my parents don't deserve this too…

“Hey, dear… What happened? Why are you just standing there? You are crying? What is wrong?" They both rushed at me, love and compassion brimming in their eyes.

“Tell me who hurt you in school. Tell me what the problem is.” My father asked with a serious tone.

“Yes, daughter. You shouldn't be hiding anything from us. We are here for you and will help you with anything." My mother added, sitting me on her lap and tucking my hair.

They both loved and cared for me even more than themselves, and Leo made it clear I was nothing to him. Why the hell was it hard to accept Jaden's deal?

“Is it Jaden?” my father asked in an angry tone, hatred glinting in his eyes.

“Yes, he broke up with me.” I exhaled, and they both sighed in relief.

“Is that why you're killing yourself? I swear, daughter, it is good news.” My mother cooed, pecking my cheek.

“You will soon realize it is good news. That boy isn't a good guy for you at all. His parents are even worse.” My father breathed, clasping my palm with his.

I nodded and forced out a smile.

“You both are right. I will move on from him. He is a wicked guy.” I sniffed, drying my tears.

“Go and change so you can come down and eat.” My mother said and pecked me before I hurried up the stairs.

As soon as I reached my room, I picked up my phone and called Jaden.
