Diane's POV
I had struggled to tell my parents everything, but I just couldn't. As we ate breakfast together in the dining room this morning, I tried again, but I would look into their eyes and see it was all filled with delight and peace. I just couldn't say anything, not wanting to ruin it all. I listened to them talk about their gradual success in their political ambition; my heart felt like it was squeezed tight, and I fought my tears from falling, knowing soon enough it would all be destroyed by the same guy they had warned me to stay away from. It would really hit them like a bomb when Jaden leaked my nudes tape and I ended up bringing shame to my family name. It hurts more that I just lost on both sides because he has also used me to bring down Leo with that rape allegation. My heart was racing, and a bead of sweat formed on my forehead as I headed to the classroom. Every eye looking at me shook me with anxiety as I wondered if they had seen it all on the school web. Jaden may have posted it, and that would be the trend now. I hadn't checked because I won't be able to bear the pain of seeing the comments under the posts. My heart would shatter every second, and I may end up taking my life. Today would probably be my last day in this school because I won't be able to bear it when Leo comes at me for lying and accusing him of raping me when he did nothing without my full consent. I would also be a mockery; not even the juniors would spare using me as a joke. Every single respect and self-esteem remaining in me would be gone, and my parents will be really disappointed. As I got closer to the classroom, the thumping of my heart accelerated. I was literally shaking and sweating. Just then someone came running at me. I turned to see it was my former friend who had betrayed me. Selene. “What is it?!” I seethed, backing away as she got closer as anger flared inside me. “I am sorry.” She sighed, breathing heavily as if she had run a marathon race. “Sorry for what? I don't want to see you.” I snapped, but she shrugged and smiled. “I’m happy for you even though I am paying for my sin. I had to see you today because it may be the last time.” She said with a sad smile on her face. I could see the black circle around her eyes and her swollen lips even though she was trying to hide it. “Jaden has lost all your tapes, including the recording he forced you to do.” My eyes widened as I stared at her, wondering if she was joking. “Should I remind you we aren't friends anymore? Don't fucking joke around with me?!” I seethed, and she shook her head. “I had told anyone that asked me about the wounds on my face that I had an accident, which is all lies. Jaden poured his frustration and rage on me yesterday after he lost it all. As he inflicted the pain on me, I was still glad he didn't succeed in ruining you, even though I have no idea how he lost all that,” she explained, and I gasped. Realizing she was saying the truth made me feel like I would burst out of happiness. I covered my mouth with my palm, exhaling in relief. I don't care how he lost it, but the fact that it was all gone made me so ecstatic. Was that why there wasn't so much reaction from students? “I am sorry for betraying you. Love blinded me, or rather lust, and now I am stuck. I just want to see you the last time before I leave. You are the best friend I ever had," she pecked my cheek and ran back to her classroom. My joy didn't even allow me to understand what she was saying as I made my way to the class with my face beaming with joy. I entered the class, and the first person my eyes met was Jaden with a bandage around his head. He didn't only lose those files but got beaten. I almost laughed watching him gnash his teeth. My mind flashed at Leo, but I shrugged it off. Maybe God had sent a new protector for me, and once I know who just saved my ass from getting shattered by Jaden, I would owe him or her my life. I sat beside him, and he wouldn't even look at me as embarrassment made his cheek red. He was groaning and clenching his fists as if he would kill everybody the next minute. “Good morning.” I greeted him with a sarcastic tone, which made him turn his gaze at me, his eyes burning, and it was as if smoke would emit from his ears and nose. “What is the greeting for, bitch?!” “Why are you so aggressive? It was just a greeting.” I smiled, and I could see in his eyes how he wished to strangle me dead. “I refuse to believe they are just random robbers! Stop playing innocent as if you don't know what you sent them to do!” He bellowed, and I frowned, my eyes squinting at him. “What are you talking about? I have no idea about any robbery. Were you robbed?” I asked, and before he could say anything, the English teacher walked in. “So a group of men came as robbers and made sure they got rid of all those videos. Who were they? Who sent them?” I kept asking myself, but I couldn't think of anyone to do such for me. Nobody loves me to that extent. The professor was done, and next on the timetable was mathematics. Just as the English teacher was leaving, Leo entered, and my stupid heart skipped a beat and began thumping like it was fighting to break out of my ribs. He spoke with so much authority and intelligence, in a way that demanded absolute attention and silence. He was really good at breaking down every solution for each question he solved. I could only watch in pure admiration as he took control of the whole class, including Jaden, who suddenly didn't dare to disturb his class. He was lucky Leo had forgiven him and didn't send him out. My eyes were fixed on him with an uncontrollable smile etched on my face, but he wouldn't look in my direction. I don't know why. He was done with the algebra explanation, solving several word problems; then he asked if there were any questions. The female students won't stop asking silly questions just to keep him from leaving. One even has to ask if he was single. “I don't answer anything not related to what I teach.” He responded with a stern tone. “I'm sorry, but can I bring questions I don't know to your office so you will help me out?” “I can only drop my W******p number. Send whatever question you have to me, and I will attend to it. Nobody is allowed in my office.” He said in a firm tone as he wrote his number on the whiteboard. I took out a paper and wrote it down. “I am not mandated to reply to everything. And anyone that disturbs me with irrelevant things will get blocked, and once you're blocked, I am never getting you unblocked!” He warned, and for the first time, his eyes flashed in my direction. I flinched at his gaze, feeling butterflies in my stomach. I don't know why I still feel vulnerable to those sexy eyes. No matter how hard I tried, I knew it would take him just a single look to get me under his charm. I don't care that he is my teacher. I would gladly sleep with him again and again without any regrets. He left the class, and we had one more lecture before it was break time. “My father has the whole cops searching for those men, and once they are caught, you will regret it, I swear.” Jaden cursed at me, wincing at his aching head and arms. I giggled. “The only thing you should be worried about is healing up. Stop being hard on yourself.” I winked before rushing out of the class. Even though Leo said no one should come to his office, I have to enter there and tell him this good news. Not only has Jaden lost my naked videos, but he has also lost the one he forced me to record that would have destroyed him. He needs to know about this miracle. I knocked on his door, and there was silence. I knocked again, and the door made a clicking sound before opening. “What did I say about students entering…?” He didn't finish before I maneuvered in from under his arm. “I have good news!!” I shrieked, my eyes wet, but he kept a mean face. “I know you hate me, but you need to hear this. Jaden won't be able to leak my videos again because he doesn't have it any longer. Some people came to him at night like robbers, and they took…” “How did you know?” He asked. “My former friend dating him told me, and he confirmed it in class. Not only that, there was a video recording he forced…” “Forced? Maybe you should stop using that word.” He cut me off, and I froze. “What do you mean?” “He didn't force you to do that. You were really going to lie against me. Destroy my entire career and future. Diane, If that video had leaked, I would be dead.” He growled, and it was like my heart was ripped out. My knees buckled, and my blood ran cold. I stared into his eyes, and it was full of disappointment. Did he see the video? How? Wait! Was he the one that…“Leo, were you among the robbers? You were the one who got rid of that video from Jaden?” I asked breathlessly as tears fell from my eyes.“I wish I could just hate you. I really don't know what is wrong with me.” He hissed and walked back to his chair and sat, crossing his legs on the table and looking up at me with a grim expression.“I am really sorry I did that video. He made me do it with the promise of not releasing those naked videos of mine. My parents are beginning their political careers, and our future relies on it. I was really scared. It will ruin them if…”“I believe you.” He breathed. “It sucks, but I fucking believe everything you say. Now clean those tears and leave.”"Thank you so much! We will see after school!" I squeaked before scurrying out, grinning from ear to ear.He just saved me again and now I don't think I can control it anymore. I am in love.Leo's POVA knock came on my door just immediately Diane left and as I got to the door, a young woman was standing
Diane's POVMy joy knew no bounds.I have no idea if he meant it, saying he had forgiven me because his eyes showed no emotions, but I just felt so excited. As I entered the class, I saw that my request to be placed in the front row had been accepted.Today just seemed to be much better than I thought. I avoided Jaden's glare as I made my way to my new seat in the left corner. I sighed in relief, taking out a novel to read.I hadn't read one full line before a teacher walked in. I could recognize her as our computer science teacher.“Did we have her now?” I asked myself as I tried checking the timetable, but she walked up to me with a smile.“Are you Diane?” She asked, and I nodded, smiling back.“Oh, I see. Follow me to my office; I have good news for you.” She displayed her white set of teeth, offering her hand to me.Wow.It felt so good. What other blessing does God have for me today?“Oh, I am really curious.” I beamed.“Yeah, I have to show you this.” She said, and we both walke
Do you know Helen?” He asked, and my heart skipped a beat; a little gasp slipped from my lips as I heard the question.“She is my teacher. Um... Computer science teacher. What about her?” I asked, trying to keep my tone smooth.“She hates you because she thinks we are dating secretly.” He scoffed, and I acted shocked, covering my mouth.“What? Why would she think such a thing?”“If she ever threatens you, let me know. I will make sure…” His voice paused, and the car came to a screeching halt. His eyes had landed on my wrists, and he seemed to have seen the red stripes of that rope Helen used to tie my hands.“Who did that to you?” He asked with a deep growl, those eyes growing darker as he took my hand and stared into the lines.“No no, no... it was a game. We…I…” My voice was stuttering. Helen had warned me not to tell anyone and I am scared she would hurt me.“If you don't want to tell me the truth, then it's fine.” He shrugged.“Why do you suddenly care? You said I meant nothing t
Shit! I cursed under my breath as I headed to the door.I opened it, and there she was, sitting on the floor at the doorstep.“What the fuck!”“I was going to wait till you ever came out. Leo, you have no idea how much I want you. No one has ever made me go crazy, and I just can’t get you out of my mind.” She mumbled as she stood to her feet, looking at me with wet eyes filled with lust and affection. “You can come in.” I breathed, and her brown eyes twinkled, a huge smile spreading across her face as she tucked her blonde hair and gave me a long look.“Are you for real?”“Yes.” I smiled, and she was overwhelmed.“You had never smiled at me…” she squeaked as she entered my office, and just before she could fully turn to me, I gripped her neck and pinned her to the wall, my eyes piercing at her.“Do you want it here or in your office?” I whispered, nibbling her earlobe.“I can’t hold on till we get there.” She gasped as my other hand groped her left breast.“I have been thinking… May
Leo's POV The noise was low and shuffled. I had to place my ears close enough to the door to hear it. When I twisted the doorknob, it was locked from the inside, which meant someone or a group of people was inside. I had thought of walking away since school had closed, and I really don't want to get involved with anything. Whatever made them lock themselves in there must be a secret, and I already have a lot to be worried about. Just a few steps away from the door, it was like a heaviness in my chest, and I couldn't bear to walk away. It was as if someone important to me was in there. Without any more hesitation, I took out the two tiny steels from my pocket, pushed them into the holes, and was able to unlock the door. As I pushed the door open, my jaw dropped, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The two guys jumped away from her; one was Jaden, and the other was the same student Diane had told me was her new boyfriend. Diane was lying helplessly on the floor, her pants flung away
She was just at the gate as I watched like a personal bodyguard to make sure she entered safely before I drove off.“Hi, Sir. Thank you so much for today.” That was the message that popped up on my phone just immediately after I got back home.I almost slapped myself as I caught my face beaming with a wide smile. I can’t tell why her message made me feel this happy.“It is no big deal.” I typed and sent knowing fully well that this wasn’t what I wanted to tell her. My only fear of getting close to her was that she may find out about my real identity.I saw the lashing fear in her eyes when I almost killed those rapists. She was terrified just by the sight of blood and couldn’t stand it for one second. How much more would she be scared of me when she found out that I was a bloody killer who had lost count of how many bodies he had dropped.“Have you gotten home? What do you plan to eat?” Another message from her and my lips curled. The cheeky emojis she uses at the end of every text ar
Diane looked up in surprise as the whole class drifted their attention to her.“He only helped me because I injured my toes! What are you trying to insinuate?” Diane cut in.“I am done for class today. If y'all keep being this annoying, I will cease being your teacher and take over another class.” I warned them before I took my leave. Diane's POV “It wasn't long after he left that my phone vibrated. I checked my phone, and it was a message from him.My eyes lit up and I looked around to be sure no one was peeping at my phone from behind. Excitement bubbled inside me, seeing him text for the first time. I hadn't checked the message yet but I was already giddy.*Come to my office and collect the PDF test for you all.*I read his text and exhaled, trying to control my racing heart. I don't know why he picked me to come take this, knowing I was crushing so hard for him. I don't know how my body would react with just us in his office. No matter how much I tried, my brain won't stop rem
What is going on?Is this AI-generated? I asked myself, but there was nothing that showed it was. My blood ran cold and my body froze in a spot. I couldn’t move, fighting back my tears as I tried to convince myself it wasn’t what I was thinking. The video was done, and next was a voice recording, and I clearly heard Leo’s voice calling her into his office. My breath was fast as I listened to Leo confess to her. “I have been thinking. Maybe I have been fighting myself from accepting that I can’t resist you.” What the fuck!He said this same thing to me that night we had sex. I listened as they began to have sex. It wasn’t a forced one because Leo was enjoying it too. After they were done, he told her they could be friends and know where it leads. He even apologized for how he had treated her. It hit me like a rock when he said she would be the first friend he has in the school. Who was I then?Leo even told her he wants to experience the feeling of love with her after setting a
Just when I thought everything was well planned out, it came crashing and turning all sour. Someone was behind the shadows ruining my mission just so I wouldn’t gain my freedom. My chest rumbled, and rage boiled inside me like a raging fire. I could feel my whole body burning, veins red and sprouting as I clenched my teeth to control myself. The last time I felt this way was when my father was killed, and now it was back. That monster that turned me into a villain, killing every trace of empathy inside me.My eyes moved to the gate where Diane had rushed in, and I felt like a knife was stabbed to my chest. All I wanted was to keep it a secret and finish this mission; then we would live that life I dreamed of. But someone from my organization decided to destroy it all.“Just pray I don’t get you!” I bellowed, entering the car and zooming off to the location Sofia had sent to me.As I got close, I found out it was her house. She called me as soon as the gate was opened for me.“I am gla
“No, I don’t.” I snapped, “Tell me what is going on! What did she read in those files that made her say what she said? Apart from you being a mafia member, what else is the reason she has to put you in jail?! What are you not telling me?!”“Diane, the mistake we made is allowing those files to get to her hand. Now I have to find a way to get it without any negotiation because I don’t think she will offer any reasonable one.”“Why do you think so? She is our friend!” I retorted, but he let out an empty chuckle.“She is not our friend. Even if she is, now she has gone through that document, it is all over.”“What did she read in it?” I asked. “Tell me!”He paused, looking me in the eyes, filled with different emotions I couldn’t understand. He tried saying something but clamped his lips shut, shaking his head. “I can’t tell you.” He breathed, and just then his phone beeped. He checked and quickly distanced himself from me.Leo’s POVI really wonder where I went wrong in my plan. This wo
Diane's POV It was like cold water was splashed all over my body, my blood running cold as I stared at him hoping he would tell me it was a prank or some sort of funny joke just to tease me.But none of that happened. I watched him collapse on the chair there, his eyes shimmering with anxiety and the veins in his arms and neck sprouting harshly.I moved closer and picked up the bag, turning it upside down, allowing everything in it to pour out. Just a few of my books, the pistol, and the cellphone, but that document wasn’t there. I was sure it was there when I left for Sofia's place. Why did I not check before leaving?I slept off, and once I woke, I ran out without telling her just so I wouldn’t have to give her the explanation she demanded. My mind didn’t think of rechecking my bag. But why would she sneak into the room and take this?“Who took it?” Leo asked as those fiery eyes landed on me.“I really don’t know, but… I can only suspect Sofia.”“Were you sleeping? How did you allo
I entered a taxi and went back home.“Go to a forest and hide all you took from this house that could implicate me. For now, I am a suspect, and the cops can barge in anytime!” I typed and sent it to my men. They weren’t among those I suspect because none of them knows of the safe lock inside my office, so they aren’t the ones who gave this information to the cops. I took a quick bath and dressed up in casual wear, covering my face with a cap before heading out through the back door.I had a feeling someone was keeping an eye on me, so I had to sneak out secretly to avoid being followed since I was heading to Diane’s house. I don’t want any of this to be linked with her. She is just too innocent to be involved in this even though I had made her do a lot for me today. She hadn’t called me yet or sent any text. I don’t expect any because she would be really angry at me. That’s if it hadn’t turned to hatred because she must have seen what those files contained.I was just lucky she didn’
Imagine the world knowing about my relationship with my teacher, who turned out to be a mafia gang. I would be an accomplice to whatever evil he had committed.“I have to make a call to my father then.” She sighed, giving me a suspicious look. “But you have to tell me everything! No lies and secrets between us!”I nodded hard as I looked ahead, and they were almost done with the car in front of us.She made the call, her voice low as she discussed it with her father. My heart was racing, and I was panting, praying silently for God to save me the last time.“Lower your head and lie low. They must not see you…” She mouthed to me, and I did as she said immediately. It worked. I heard someone telling the cops to allow us to pass after the window was rolled down and they saw her. Whoever her father was, he must be a powerful man to make them give an exception to her.We drove out and kept a distance away before I poked out my head, exhaling heavily.“Thank you so much….” I sniffed, hugging
Diane's POV I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched the cops put the handcuff around his wrist, confusion written all over his face, but he didn’t struggle or try to contest. My eyes wandered around, and I could see the bewildered look on everyone’s face as they stared at him, unsure if they could possibly believe he was a killer.Leo’s eyes fell on me at that moment, and I could see sadness and disbelief in there. It was as if someone betrayed and sold him out.My heart squeezed tight, and every part of me froze as I sniffed the tears that welled up in my eyes. It was like slow motion as Leo was taken away, disappearing from my eyes just after he had promised he wouldn't be caught. How did they trace it to him? Didn’t he assure me that all evidence was cleared? And also, he told me he didn’t kill Jaden’s father, so why are they accusing him of that too?He was poisoned. How could he possibly kill someone? But then I remembered Helen was dead too, so there was no one to confess to hi
“Sorry, I had to lie because someone might be listening to us, and you know how nosy they can be.”“Oh, maybe I should return to class and show him the question some other time since you both are busy together.” She grinned, but Diane shook her head.“No no no…. We aren’t doing anything just casual conversation. Let’s check the math problem together, and he can teach us both.”“No.” Sofia adamantly refused. “I feel you’re just trying to be nice. Enjoy your time with him. After all, I can ask him the question when he comes to teach us in the afternoon.”She waved with a wide smile, walking out hastily.I just stood there with my hands in my pockets. She gave me a wink before leaving, but I didn’t even act like I saw it. The only thing on my mind was how I would take her to my boss. She has no idea the pain and torture she was going to face later in life. She may be really falling for me, but soon she would realize how far she should have run away and left the country.“That girl is so
“You really love Leo and couldn’t bear betraying him. I will have to send you to hell so you wait for him. Don’t worry; in just less than an hour, he will be there with you…” Chan laughed evilly, and my body paralyzed with horror.I tried to talk. To beg for my life, but my lips could only move with no word coming out. The sound of the gun getting cocked made my throat hitch as my life flashed in front of me.“I won’t betray…you…Please don’t…”“That is a lie. And besides, you know a lot of my secrets. Keeping you is a risk!”That was the last thing I heard before a gunshot. But I wasn’t dead. I didn’t feel any bullet; instead, someone fell dead. Then the sound came again and again from an angle I couldn’t tell because I was struck with terror at these sounds. All I knew was that someone well trained had appeared from inside this house and killed these men. Jaden’s father was the last. He couldn’t even fire two shots before he was brought down. From a corner, a young woman I had never
“He won’t agree. I love him, but he doesn’t love me the same way.” I sighed, feeling the heaviness in my heart.“Then find a fucking way! He still wants you to be his girlfriend as a shield over his secret romance with Diane, so why not use a breakup to threaten him? Tell him to visit you or you will end it all!” He snapped at me, and I swallowed hard, pondering if I should do this. With Jaden’s father's tone, I could swear he would kill Leo if he got hold of him.“Leo didn’t kill your son. That is the last thing he can do. He may look cold and mean, but he isn’t so bad as to gun them down as you claimed. Even if he probably did, the evidence will show up soon. Why not allow the cops to…”“I just sent you your half payment for the job. When you’re done, you won’t only be paid the rest but also become the school proprietor. I know how much you wanted that position.” He said, and it was like he snapped my mouth shut as I couldn’t talk anymore and checked my phone.I screamed as I saw a
