Two hours after Alan left the house, I stood by the window with my clothes on, waiting for him or our parents to return. I didn’t know where he had gone and it annoyed me that he was still out, instead of being with me and discussing what we were to do about what happened between us. The way he had reacted to the news I shared with him, gave me a new insight on how different he was to Zachary. Yes, Zachary had been really angry that my other mate was Alan, but he hadn’t had the death look I had seen in Alan’s eyes. Alan had looked like he was going to kill anything that dared to talk to him when he left the room, and I couldn’t help but get worried.

With a slight shake of my head, I began to pace my room, my eyes always making sure to scan the window whenever I got there.
