"Are you sure you want to cook for me?" I asked her, observing her face closely, now so near mine, within my line of sight.

I noticed many changes in her during her pregnancy. Her weight drastically decreased at first, then went up again. Some parts of her body had swollen—Sarah was going through a lot. It’s not easy for her to deal with these transformations. Every time she looked in the mirror, I was sure it must have been hard for her.

It was impossible not to notice. She had taken great care of her body before pregnancy, and now she was undergoing changes that could easily shake her confidence. Yet, she never showed it to me. She kept up her strong front.

To me, it didn’t matter. Her weight gain, her swollen body parts, or how she no longer matched society’s beauty standards—I didn’t care about any of that. No matter what happened to her, she still captivated me. Her face remained beautiful, her smile still dazzling, her eyes as mesmerizing as ever, and her body warm
