Sarah's POV

“What do you think of the dress?” I twirled before Lira, who sat casually in her chair, nibbling on something.

Lira’s eyes carefully assessed me from head to toe with a serious expression. Then, she motioned with her hand for me to turn around and show the other side. Only after doing so she nodded approvingly. “You look perfect,” she praised me with a satisfied smile.

She got up from her seat and walked over to me, her hands gently adjusting a few strands of my hair that were out of place, making me look slightly untidy.

“There’s no one more beautiful than you,” she effortlessly complimented me again.

I chuckled softly at her words. Then, I turned to face the mirror, seeing myself wrapped in a white mermaid-style satin gown that beautifully accentuated my figure.

The dress looked stunning with a long skirt and an elegantly open top. I truly loved it, but I couldn’t help feeling a little self-conscious. “But don’t you think it’s a bit too much?” I asked.
