Chapter 26: Little vinegar jar

LEAH’S POV

“David is sick!” Marina grumbled in disdain. “I didn’t know he was capable of doing this, you really got yourself into danger.”

A sigh escaped my lips. The unnerving feeling still lingered on my nerves, and I couldn’t help but agree with her. The situation earlier with David was terrifying, and if not for Hudson and Brixton arriving to my rescue, I don’t even know what could’ve happened to me in the hands of David, and the thought of it sent shivers down my spine.

“By the way, how did the Alistaire twins arrived at your rescue?” Marina spoke with a tone full of curiosity.

“I don’t know…” I couldn’t find the right answers too. All I could remember was them appearing out of nowhere and it was Brixton who came attacking David after arriving at the scene.

Was it all just a coincidence that they were present at the bar and saw how David tried to assault me? It was the only reason that could make sense.
