Chapter 28: Finding the truth

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Brixton and Hudson sat inside their private office. The atmosphere inside was thick, and the weight of the situation was pressing heavily on their shoulders.

There was another man inside the room, wearing a formal suit and holding a suitcase in his hand.

“I want you to investigate everything about her…” Hudson spoke in a serious tone with his brows furrowing. “Including the kids.”

“We need the results as soon as possible.” Brixton also demanded, his fingers tapping on the swivel chair’s armrest. There was a hint of frustration and impatience in his eyes.

“For this matter, the fastest time I can promise is within a week. It’s quite a complex case.” The investigator spoke, his tone was cautious, probably because noticing the current mood of the twins right now.

“Just make sure you find ‘everything’.” Hudson emphasized as pursed his lips.

When the investigator left, Brixton sighed. The look on his face was a mix of frustration and confusion.
