LEAH’S POV

For a moment, I grew still on my spot. It was not until I heard the movements behind me that I finally shifted slightly.

“Hey…”

As soon as I realized their tall and brooding figures now standing beside me, my heart started pounding even loudly inside my chest.

“Uhm… thanks.” I shot them a quick glance before I zipped the folder I was holding, trying to look calm and busy so they won’t notice the current sudden nervousness inside me.

“We’ll come with you during the field inspection next week.” Hudson’s gentle voice entered my ears. I was slightly taken back, not really expecting that they would personally go there.

Earlier, during the presentation, we’ve also discussed and mentioned about the field inspection that we would be conducting to see the status of our current ongoing project.

I never thought they would propose the idea of going there themselves.

“That sounds good.” I tried to ignore the awkwardness and nervousness I was feeling. I stared at them straight, flashing
