Chapter 7: Worry

“Mommy, wake up.”

Calvin’s small hand gently shaking my body woke me up from my intense dream. I blinked my eyes, my mind still foggy from the vivid dream. My chest heaved up and down as I sat on the bed panting.

It was one o’clock in the morning. Clyde and Bella remained sleeping beside me and it was only Calvin who woke up, perhaps I made too many movements due to the dream I just had.

“Are you okay, mommy?” My eyes met my son’s. As I look into his blue eyes, it was only then I realized how his eyes were the same as Hudson’s. Moreover, his face seems like a little version of Hudson too.

I felt dread gripping my heart. Why did I only realize this now? I’ve been too in denial regarding the paternity of my triplets. But my encounter with Hudson and Brixton is now shaking my whole world.
