LEAH’S POV

I found myself staring blankly at the papers on my desk in front of me. It was just past lunch time, and I’ve stayed most of the day inside my office, trying to busy myself with paperwork. Yet my thoughts were a tangled mess. I couldn’t help replaying the events that happened last night, making it quite hard for me to focus.

Last night, I hadn’t planned on joining the triplets with their dinner with both Hudson and Brixton. My intention was to let the kids spend some time together with their fathers while I stayed behind at home. I thought it was what Hudson and Brixton wanted to – to bond with the triplets without me there.

But then, when they insisted that I come along, I was caught off guard.

I could still remember the look on their faces when they realized I wasn’t planning to join them. Their eyes narrowed at me with a look of slight displeasure and disappointment.
