LEAH
“Thank goodness we’re finally getting a break!” Jenny exaggeratedly let out a sigh as she leaned on her swivel chair. I chuckled at her reaction.
It was past four o’clock in the afternoon now and we were having an early dismissal from the company. Compared to the past few months when we had to work overtime as we were aiming to land a partnership with The Finance, things at work now weren’t as hectic as it was before.
“We better savor this moment. I heard that hell weeks are coming soon.” Kevin, who was sitting in front of his desk just across Jenny’s suddenly rebutted.
“Oh, stop killing the fun.” Jenny glared at him. “We’ll only be having a team building next week. That’s not considered a hell week you know.”
“And what’s so fun about those?”
“Says the person who hasn’t even participated even once in our team buildings.”
Once again, I chuckled at the two’s bickering. There were only three of us inside this room. After becoming one of the persons in charge in our company’s marketing team, I have been working with them for almost four years now. Bickering was a normal occurrence for the two and I’ve long been accustomed to that.
“Why not just go together this time?” Stretching my arms on both sides, I casually eyed the two of them.
“NO WAY!”
I blinked my eyes innocently at them seeing how they both reacted at the same time.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” I raised my brows at them. “We’re all going together anyways.”
“You… stop that!” Jenny narrowed her eyes at me, while I heard Kevin’s awkward cough.
Shrugging my shoulders, I placed my phone inside my handbag before finally standing up.
“Anyways, I’ll be heading out first.” I hung my coat on my arms before winking at them. “You guys take care, alright?”
I could hear Jenny grumbling as I walked out of our office. Slightly chuckling, I entered the elevator before pressing the button towards the ground floor. But just as the doors started to close, a strong hand came to stop it.
“Wait a sec.”
It was a man with a tall and strong stature who came to stop the elevator. I wasn’t paying attention at first, but a light bulb suddenly seemed to be lit inside my brain when I realized how his voice sounded so familiar.
At the same time the elevator closed, my eyes met a beautiful pair of green orbs staring right back at me.
“We met again,” I could see how his lips slowly curved up as he stared back at me. His voice carried a husky playfulness.
I blinked my eyes before immediately looking straight at the closed doors of the elevator, trying to compose myself.
“Yes, what a coincidence.” Thankfully, my voice didn’t waiver and still sounded normal even though I could hear my own heart beating loudly inside my chest.
“Hmm…” He only made a nasal sound, but why does it still sound so… manly and sensual at the same time?!
Get a hold of yourself Leah! Meeting this handsome yet annoying guy once again doesn’t mean you should lose all your composure!
I mentally scolded myself. My palms were sweating as it feels like an eternity to be inside this lift… Damn, why did it even suddenly feels too stuffy inside here?
“I’m Brixton.”
My eyes snapped towards the man beside me. It was only now I realized how close we were to each other. The space inside this lift was just big enough to at least cater four people inside. But with this man here, there seems to be no space available already…
“What’s the name of the beautiful lady?”
I removed my gaze from him, slightly pursing my lips hearing his cliché words. But I couldn’t get myself to ignore him. He had such a strong sense of presence. His whole being seems to be screaming some aura that it was affecting me. And his piercing gaze made me more unable to ignore him.
“Leah Knight.” I manage to maintain my sense of formality and slightly shifted my body to face him. “You’re Brixton…”
“Brixton Alistaire.” He flashed me devilishly handsome smile in front of me that I almost got blinded.
Wait, blinded? I, Leah Knight, has remained indifferent to all those suitors after all these years. No matter how charming or handsome they were, my heart has remained unmoved. How could I possibly get affected by this man whom I’ve only met twice?
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He stretched out his hand to me. His words were exactly the same words Hudson used as he spoke with me last week.
In fact, they do have a lot of similarities. They have the same surname. Their voice, their build and stature, and even their hair are almost identical. If they weren’t twins, then there’s also a huge possibility that they’re brothers.
I hastily placed my hands on his for a handshake, only to feel the heat oozing off from his large, calloused hand that was grasping mine. My hands were incomparably small compared to his, and an unknown sensation crept up to my skin at our sudden contact.
Weird, this was also how I felt when I shake hands with Hudson… Goodness! Why am I also even thinking about that man?
“Have we met before?”
Snapping out of my thoughts, my eyes met his dark green orbs once again. His gaze was so deep and piercing, as if he was trying to see my soul which made my breath hitch. But soon, my brows furrowed realizing his question just now.
“Before?” I cleared my throat, slowly withdrawing my hand away from his as I tried to step back. “Do you mean last week?”
“Not that one,” He deep gaze remained on my face. “You just feel familiar... I feel like, we have already met before.”
My heart skipped a beat from hearing his words. Although the words he spoke just now were one of the most common lines used by womanizers out there, the tone of his voice evoked an inexplicable feeling inside me.
Why is he flirting with me?
“Sorry to disappoint you.” I took a deep breath before flashing a professional smile on my face. “But this has only been the second time we met. Perhaps, due to my common appearance, you’ve mistaken me for someone.”
Just after I finish speaking, the door of the elevator suddenly opened. Fortunately, we have already reached the ground floor after what seems like an eternity inside here.
“If you’ll excuse me.” I didn’t spare him any glance anymore as I rushed out of the elevator.
I could hear him chuckling behind me which made me fasten my steps.
“People from this company really like to humble themselves.”
His words echoed throughout the hallways. Luckily, no one was around as it seemed like everyone had already took their leave or maybe, the others were still staying inside their respective offices.
“Pardon?” I halted on my steps after hearing his statement just now.
He tilted his head, still wearing a smirk on his face before he slowly closed the distance between us.
“I said…” In a flash, he was already one step closer to me. “Why can’t I remember encountering this ‘common appearance’ before? Why did it take me a long time to find someone like you?”
I fought the urge to roll my eyes in front of him. This man sure was a sweet talker. Why did I even wait for him and give him the opportunity to sprout nonsense in front of me again? I find his smirk annoying, yet I can’t deny to myself that he really looks handsome… But that’s all!
“And why are you so different with Hudson?” I sassily snapped back at him. For a moment, I saw how he was slightly taken back by my words, but I paid him no heed as I turned around and finally walked away from him.
“You already met my twin?”
I was right. They were indeed twins… With two different personalities. I shot a glance at Brixton who was already walking beside me with a casual pace, as if we were two acquaintances catching up with each other.
Moreover, the heat oozing off from his body was making me uncomfortable. I was feeling giddy, the nerves on my skin were tingling, but I know that I shouldn’t display such a reaction in front of this man.
“I get it, it was also last week, right?”
I didn’t respond and only continued walking. But no matter how much I get faster on my steps, he was immediately catching up with me with his long strides.
“Damn, he’s kept this from me!” I could hear him lowly spoke in displeasure beside me. Meanwhile, I couldn’t even get myself to focus as I was distracted by his presence.
I don’t even know what’s wrong with me or why is my whole being was being affected by him. He looks like a playboy. Well, with his appearance and probably status, he’s probably one. But why is he wasting his time on a person like me?
“Why are you following me?” I stopped on my tracks and stared at his face with a deadpanned look.
He only stared at my face, before chuckling. “We’re on the same way.”
That made me stop. I was heading to the parking lot and he was following me – or I really got it wrong? Damn. I can feel my cheeks heating up from the embarrassment.
I didn’t bother to talk with him again and only continued to walk faster. He lagged behind me, but I can still hear him chuckling again.
What? Does he find it funny? I was slightly fuming as I finally reached the parking lot. Spotting my car, I searched for my key inside my back, not daring to look back again.
I was annoyed, embarrassed, and at the same time, there was an unknown feeling that was budding inside my chest. And that’s all because of that man.
“Lay,”
Brixton’s voice made me pause for a moment before entering my car. I was not sure if I was the one, he was calling, but as I looked back at him, I realized that he also staring back at me.
The previous playfulness on his face has been replaced by a deep and serious look as he stared at me. Slowly, his lips curled up, flashing me a gentle smile. His eyes carried an unknown glint. He was a very fine man. His looks were enough to send girls lining up in a very long que.
I was speechless, even breathless. I could not even get myself to ask him what he wanted.
“See you next week.”

“MOMMY, can we go swimming too?”
Clyde was jumping on the hotel room’s bed; his face was showing an excited look as he stared at the glass wall on the left side of the room which gives off the view of the beautiful beach below.
Today was the last day of our team building. We were currently staying at the hotel resort our company had chosen for this event. We were initially staying for three days here, but I extended our stay as I had brought the kids along with me.
I can’t bring myself to leave them at home. I haven’t even made up for the cancelled trip we were supposed to have before. That’s why I decided to bring them along with me.
“For now, mommy still need to attend an important matter for our company. We can swim tomorrow, is that alright with you?” I crouched down to pinch his cheeks, and his eyes immediately lit up.
“Yes, mommy!”
“Beach… Swim!” Bella was giggling on my lap as I was trying to fix her ponytail.
“Yes, brother will take you to swim.” Clyde held Bella’s hand and kissed her cheek.
I smiled at their cute interaction before my eyes fell on Calvin who was trying to set up the dining table with the food that was just sent by the hotel attendants.
“Look, big brother is preparing the food. Let’s eat first, alright?”
Bella and Clyde jumped off the bed and immediately tottered towards the dining table.
“Good job, darling.” As the eldest, Calvin was the most sensible among the three. I gently ruffled his hair, smiling gently before I urged the three of them to take a seat and start eating.

“And it’s a wrap! I hope everyone had a good time during our three-day event here.” Marina spoke through the mic as she ended the closing program of our event.
Some colleagues approached me for a some small talks before each of them also bid their goodbye. One by one, everyone left the conference hall.
“Send my regards to the kids.” Marina and I engaged in a talk for a moment. She often pays visit towards the triplets and had also grown fond of them. She initially wanted to join us for an extended stay here, but she needed to attend another urgent conference at S City.
Walking out of the hotel, the fresh sea breeze immediately embraced my whole form. I smiled, closing my eyes for a moment. The environment here is indeed relaxing. As I hear the soft sound of waves meeting the sand, my smile grew deeper as excitement filled me.
I can’t wait to see the kids enjoy for their much-so anticipated swimming.
The hotel resort composed of three huge buildings. The one I had exited just now was intended for formal occasions and such, while the other two hotels where tourists rent rooms for their stay. That’s where we were staying.
As I finally walk back, a stall by the beach selling some trinkets and other souvenirs caught my attention. But before I could take a few steps further, I suddenly felt a familiar presence behind me.
“Leah,” a deep, husky voice called out.
HUDSONI sat back in my chair, scanning over the files that my assistant had handed me. However, it’s content made my brows furrowed deeper with every page I turned.I’m currently on a meeting with an executive from one of the companies that has tried multiple times to land a partnership with ours. However, seeing their proposal made me think that it was only a waste of time to come here and even allow them the change to negotiate with me.“This is simply impossible.” I said in a firm tone, meeting Mr. Robert’s gaze. He was the executive from Sky Corporations – a man in his late 40’s.“Mr. Alistaire, please reconsider it. We believe it’s a solid plan.”I was starting to grow impatient. I had a reputation for being cautious in my investments, never putting more on the line that I could afford to lose. It was a principle my twin brother, Brixton, and I lived by — a principle that had brought us to where we were now.“Mr. Roberts, I suppose you understand very well that I do not engage i
LEAHMy lips slowly parted open as I look at the familiar figure approaching me from behind. Rays of sunset casted a glow on his face, making his handsome face look gentler than his usual cold and domineering demeanor. But there was something in his eyes that made my heart pound loudly in my chest.“Mr. Alistaire.” My voice came out as a whisper. It even sounded so shaky that I wanted to pinch myself for being so distracted right in front of him.He stopped right in front of me, and I can feel my nerves tingling under his gaze.“There’s no need for formalities,” his eyes remained on my face. “Just call me Hudson.”“Ah, yes…” Avoiding his gaze, I brushed my hand on my other arm, trying to relieve the goosebumps erupting on my skin just after hearing his deep, husky voice.“It’s a coincidence to see you here.”“Indeed, it is.” I laughed a little, though it turned out as an awkward response on my part that I had to purse my lips after out of embarrassment.Silence enveloped us. Only the
LEAH“Mommy, wake up.”Calvin’s small hand gently shaking my body woke me up from my intense dream. I blinked my eyes, my mind still foggy from the vivid dream. My chest heaved up and down as I sat on the bed panting. It was one o’clock in the morning. Clyde and Bella remained sleeping beside me and it was only Calvin who woke up, perhaps I made too many movements due to the dream I just had.“Are you okay, mommy?” My eyes met my son’s. As I look into his blue eyes, it was only then I realized how his eyes were the same as Hudson’s. Moreover, his face seems like a little version of Hudson too.I felt dread gripping my heart. Why did I only realize this now? I’ve been too in denial regarding the paternity of my triplets. But my encounter with Hudson and Brixton is now shaking my whole world.“Mommy?” Calvin’s soft voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I forced a smile on my lips, gently brushing a strand of hair away from his face.“I’m fine, sweetheart.” I whispered to him softly, but
LEAHHis voice carried a hint of teasing, but there was some deep intensity in his tone that went along with his words."You just helped me." I cleared my throat while avoiding his eyes, a wave of guilt washing through me. "You should go to the hospital."He shook his head, dismissing my suggestion. But his lips still carried the same gentle smile and I could feel his gaze fixed on my face. "It's just a scratch.""But you’re bleeding," I persisted, but then lowered my voice when I realized that perhaps I was acting too overly concerned."You should at least get it treated."I heard him chuckle softly. "Okay, but no hospital."I frowned, this time, I finally raised my head, staring at him I confusion. “But how would you…”The playful smirk on his lips was back again. I stumbled a few steps back when he slowly leaned over. Seeing his handsome face up close, almost just inches away from mine made my heart beat crazily.“Since I just helped you, wouldn’t it be fair if you return the favor
LEAH“I am deeply impressed with your proposal.” Mr. Lim spoke a series of compliments after we finished presenting our portfolio. However, I couldn’t quite focus on the meeting ever since Hudson joined just a few minutes after the meeting started.I didn’t expect that he would also attend the meeting. I was nervous to face him once more after I scurried out of Brixton’s office earlier, even after he told me to stay.Staying with the two of them would only be a bad thing for me, especially with how their presence affect me so much and that’s why I left them even though I know they would be displeased with my actions.“Indeed, your ideas for innovations are really impressive, but this is the first time our company would merge with a corporation like yours.” Another man in his late-50’s sitting beside Mr. Lim also spoke.“With the cultural differences between our companies, definitely there would be potential clashes that could affect each other’s productivity and morale, so how do you
LEAHMy heart sank. I was feeling mixed emotions in my chest seeing Brixton with the same woman from the meeting earlier. I don’t even know why I was feeling this way, but the sight from the two of them was like a strong punch in my gut.Without thinking, I turn on my heel and left the area, not wanting to be noticed. As I walked back to the ground floor, I was feeling quite absentminded. I couldn’t ignore the bitterness dripping off my chest and it left me so much confused and torn that I didn’t notice bumping into another person.“Ms. Knights, is everything alright?” The man I bumped into was Mr. Collins, Hudson’s secretary.“I’m sorry for that.” I blinked my eyes and refocused, attempting to steady my voice. “I just realized I left my car keys in Mr. Allistaire’s room. Could you please retrieve them for me?”“Uhm, may I ask whom you are referring to?” He looked quite confused, and that’s how I realized that there was indeed two Mr. Allistaire on this company.“Mr. Brixton Allistair
LEAH“Girlfriend?” Brixton’s expression shifted from confusion to shock. He stood there, staring at me as if trying to process my words.“What are you talking about?”I scoffed and narrowed my eyes at him. “You were with a woman yesterday in your office. Isn’t she your girlfriend?”“Or maybe, a fling?” I cleared my throat, trying to shift my tone back to normal after realizing that I probably sound too affected that it was quite embarrassing.Would he think that I was reacting too much? I suddenly had the urge to pinch myself.“She’s not a fling.” Brixton spoke calmly afterwards. “And most importantly, Melanie is not my girlfriend.”Ah, so her name is Melanie…“Whatever she is to you, it’s not my business anyways.” I find myself regaining some composure immediately a few seconds later. “I only know that it’s appropriate to maintain a sense or propriety between us.”“Damn it,” He grunted and tried to take a step closer towards me again, but I immediately took a step backwards. He sighe
LEAHAs my eyes fixated on the billboard, I felt my heart race. Hudson's familiar handsome face entering my sight made me feel so complicated. His image on the billboard was not used for some sort of advertisement, instead, a large text accompanied his photo as a caption. It says, 'Top Rising CEO of the Year'."Mommy, do you know who's that man?" Clyde's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.I immediately closed my car's window and stared back at my kids."He's a... very famous man in this city, darling." I hurriedly spoke, trying to hide the nervousness on my tone.Out of all billboard images the triplets would get to see, why did Hudson's appear this time?"Is he very famous? Like a celebrity?" Clyde's questions once again, his voice full of confusion."You can say that, dear." I answered smoothly after taking a deep breath."Wow! So that's why we saw him on TV before." he gasped in surprise, and I could see admiration in his eyes as he continued to peek at the billboard outside. My
LEAH’S POVThe days passed by and quickly turned into weeks. Hudson and Brixton often take the kids out with them, and the kids were happy each time they spend time with their fathers. But then, even though all I wanted was for them to be happy, I still couldn’t shake the dread in my heart. The triplets’ 5th birthday is approaching, and it was the very reason why I was starting to grow anxious.I have a werewolf blood. Naturally, my babies would inherent some of my bloodline too. Now that their 5th birthday is approaching, I couldn’t help but worry for the possibility that they may soon unlock their werewolf abilities. Back when I was still at my previous pack, children often unlock their abilities as early as the age of five.I, myself, unlocked my abilities during the age of 6. But the worry in my heart continued surging with the possibility that my children would experience it earlier than me.Hudson and Brixton were… human. At least, that’s what I think. I couldn’t directly ask th
LEAH’S POVFor a moment, I grew still on my spot. It was not until I heard the movements behind me that I finally shifted slightly.“Hey…”As soon as I realized their tall and brooding figures now standing beside me, my heart started pounding even loudly inside my chest.“Uhm… thanks.” I shot them a quick glance before I zipped the folder I was holding, trying to look calm and busy so they won’t notice the current sudden nervousness inside me.“We’ll come with you during the field inspection next week.” Hudson’s gentle voice entered my ears. I was slightly taken back, not really expecting that they would personally go there.Earlier, during the presentation, we’ve also discussed and mentioned about the field inspection that we would be conducting to see the status of our current ongoing project.I never thought they would propose the idea of going there themselves.“That sounds good.” I tried to ignore the awkwardness and nervousness I was feeling. I stared at them straight, flashing
LEAH’S POV“Shall we use my car or yours?” Jane asked me as we were getting ready with the files we needed to present later.“I’m fine with any.” I answered her while arranging the files and putting them inside the folder.“Forget it.” Jane stood up from her seat and pointed at me, making me raise my brows.“My car?”“Yes. Your car.” She answered as she waved her hand. “Yours is far more expensive and looks more expensive.”I chuckled at her words. After preparing the necessary files and outputs, we finally headed out of our company building as we both climbed in inside my car and started driving towards The Finance.Today was the schedule to present the monthly report about our ongoing project with The Finance. And as usual, we needed to get to their company to make the presentation. There was an unknown tension and nervousness building up inside me. It was not because I was scared to present later, it was the last thing I would get afraid of either.Instead, the nervousness I was fe
LEAH’S POVMy body turned still as I faced the screen with both Hudson and Brixton’s faces on it. It was all too sudden that I didn’t even know what to do at that moment. My heart was pounding too loud that it kept ringing in my ears, leaving me feel breathless.“Daddy, mommy’s here now!”I snapped out of my stunned stupor when I heard the kids’ enthusiastic voices. I pressed my lips tightly as I tried to suppress the sudden shock and nervousness of facing Hudson and Brixton.“Hey…”It was Hudson who spoke first, beside him was Brixton who also had a gentle yet somewhat teasing smile on his lips.“Hi.” I bit my lip afterwards, mentally slapping myself for how constricted I sounded just now. I could only hope they didn’t notice my reaction earlier.Everything about this… this call… just feels odd and new. And it was sending a foreign surge of feelings inside me that I couldn’t even quite name.My body was rigid after that one word I just said. Contrary to earlier, my heart was pounding
THIRD PERSON’S POVHudson and Brixton stood in the expansive living room of their mansion. The walls were adorned with intricate designs, with some large famous paintings and artworks displayed on it. The gleaming marble floors also reflected the soft light streaming through the large, exquisite chandeliers on the high ceiling. This huge, luxurious mansion was nestled within an exclusive villa in City B, clearly representing their wealth and status. Its construction had taken three years to be completed. However, despite its grandeur, it had rarely been used. The two rarely stays in this mansion, leaving it somewhat desolate with housekeepers only coming and go for its maintenance.Hudson and Brixton also owned a luxurious, modern penthouse near their company, which they mostly stayed at as they preferred its convenience within the heart of the city. Therefore, this grand estate was almost mostly untouched. But now, with the sudden revelation – with the sudden change of events, Hudson
LEAH’S POVI found myself staring blankly at the papers on my desk in front of me. It was just past lunch time, and I’ve stayed most of the day inside my office, trying to busy myself with paperwork. Yet my thoughts were a tangled mess. I couldn’t help replaying the events that happened last night, making it quite hard for me to focus.Last night, I hadn’t planned on joining the triplets with their dinner with both Hudson and Brixton. My intention was to let the kids spend some time together with their fathers while I stayed behind at home. I thought it was what Hudson and Brixton wanted to – to bond with the triplets without me there. But then, when they insisted that I come along, I was caught off guard.I could still remember the look on their faces when they realized I wasn’t planning to join them. Their eyes narrowed at me with a look of slight displeasure and disappointment.“What? Don’t you want to come with us and the kids?” Brixton asked, his tone deep and quite sharp that it
LEAH’S POVI watched my angels timidly take a step forward as they stopped in front of Hudson and Brixton. My heart swelled with a mix of emotions I could barely contain. This moment has been long anticipated, yet I equally feared for it to arrive, and its now unfolding before my eyes.Hudson and Brixton – they were now no longer just the uncles in the eyes of my children. Today, they were finally being recognized as their fathers.“Daddy…” Bella’s small voice was filled with a hesitant warmth as she looked up at both Hudson and Brixton with wide, hopeful eyes.Calvin and Clyde followed suit, their voice low and shy yet filled with emotions. Then, I noticed how Brixton and Hudson’s faces softened. The usually unreadable masks they wore melted into expressions of genuine warmth and gentleness. They crouched down to the kids’ level, their eyes flickering with emotions that seems to tug something deep inside me.“Hey there, little ones.” Brixton spoke in a gentle tone, his voice filled w
LEAH'S POVMy heart swelled with emotions. I knew there was no turning back now. I already made the decision, and my kids deserved everything in this world.I nodded at Bella, forcing a small smile on my lips despite the complicated emotions I was feeling. “Of course, you can, darling.”Their faces lit up once more, the pure joy and excitement couldn’t be concealed on them.“We have a daddy now!” Clyde exclaimed, grinning ear to ear as he faced both Bella and Calvin beside him, his face showing a proud and happy look. “And we have two daddies at that!”His words earned a giggle from Bella and also an eager nod from Calvin.I watched them silently. Seeing their reactions somewhat made my heart feel a little lighter. It made me happy as long as they’re happy.“Alright, it’s getting late. You should go to sleep now.” I said in a gentle tone, tucking them once more on the bed.“Mom, can we see our daddies tomorrow? Or will they still be busy?” Calvin asked me another question.I hesitated,
LEAH“Mommy… Uncle Hudson and Uncle Brixton are so niceeee! Can they just be our daddy?”Bella’s innocent question struck me like a lightning. My heart skipped a beat a beat, and my mind raced as I tried to process what she had just asked. The three of them were now staring at me, their eyes wide as they waited for an answer I wasn’t even prepared to give.I swallowed hard, feeling my throat tightening. I couldn’t think of any words to respond. But then, Calvin’s soft voice cut through the silence as he stared at his siblings.“But we already have a daddy, right? He’s away at work…” His innocent and thoughtful tone echoed through the room. The three fell silent once more. Calvin’s statement hung in the air, and their little faces were now deep in thought. My heart clenched as I realized the consequences of the lie I had told them in the past – about a daddy was always busy, who was always away and couldn’t come home.“But daddy is always away…” Clyde was the first to break the silence
