Chapter 25: Questioning

LEAH’S POV

Everything happened in a flash. The only thing I saw was Brixton’s fists that were relentlessly striking David. But just as I was relieved with his sudden arrival, I panicked once again.

His punches were so powerful and precise that I could see blood spurting on David’s face. Despite my fear, I felt the sudden need to intervene. With his constant attack, Brixton might kill David if I don’t stop him now.

My legs wobbled as I took a step forward, wanting to stop him but someone suddenly grabbed my arm from behind.

“Let him handle it.”

Hudson stood behind me, his hold in my arm steady. My heart raced, the helplessness washing all over my form.

“But what if he…”

I was worried about what might Brixton could do to David. Although David had done some evil things, I don’t want Brixton to take the matters into his own hands.

Hudson saw through my concern. He gently pulled me towards him, closing the distance between us which made me heart pound faster.
