**Laura's POV**As the days went by, no words were heard from the mysterious man who was hell bent over the spectra which made me nervous because I know that he was going to come back, that's for sure.No one is certain if he's truly the beast of the east but then, let's forget about him. I haven't paid much attention to elder Magnus but his action's this time got me curious of what his true motives were. "I feel sometimes is off." I complained to Maxwell while we took a stroll in the river bank at the back of the pack house. I love visiting here whenever I wanted absolute peace. The green tress, the water falls, slow and rhymatic waves of water... Everything speaks about nature and it's perfect output."Forget about everything now and feel happy for once. Enjoy yourself and stop being hard on yourself.. remember that the evil ones would keep doing evil and not a soul can change that about them." He advised and i admired him alot. How blind was I that i didn't even notice him in my

**Laura's POV**It's been paste weeks and now words from anyone pertaining the Spectra but things keeps happening.I couldn't help but imagine the demon Sonia had turned herself into .How absurd! I slowly stared at everyone and could see a mixture of guilt displayed on their faces. Sonia tried to hold up the deviant devilish look but it was clear she couldn't hold it up for long. I've already had enough of their stupidity and I was fed up with everything. I really do not care how Elder Magnus stared at me right now, but honestly, if looks could kill, I'd be dead."Whatever you do, don't you dare think this would be the end of everything... Just put a smile on your face while you still have the chance to do so!" Niandra warned angrily and i was trying to proceed what exactly had happen. " Gone are the days where I'd get scared of you Sonia... You're nothing but a cloud and the moment you disappear, it becomes beautiful all day... " Niandra retorted while she huffed." Sonia, do

**Laura's POV**Two weeks ago, I hosted an Alpha hurdle because I was advised to do so by the council of elders. Everything seems so good now. The Alpha's hurdle was still on and bored me decided to walk around for a while. I stood up and what I had in mind was going to meet up with Maxwell wherever he was. I don't even care if he's with the others.... .I need him. "Laura?" Sonia called me immediately she laid her eyes on me. If she talks like this and behaves like this I don't think we'd ever have issues."How can I help you." I asked her with hands akimbo."Nothing, don't act like anything is special about you, just wanted to have drinks with you." She replied sarcastically rolling her eyes at me.I scoffed and retorted back, I rolled my eye at her too.I really do want to have a very cold drink for real but the thing is, I don't and at the same time, I want to. I can't resist the urge so I'll just have her make it already. "Standing there and drooling at the same time won't make

Sonia P.O.VFirst she rushes us, and now she's taking her time. Always giving commands like it's her birthright; technically, it is but she doesn't have to be so rude about it."Walk faster, we don't want to keep the elders waiting" Maxwell spoke from the driver's seat of the car. He's so head over heels in love with Laura and she won't even acknowledge him."Well, the meeting probably won't start till Madam Boss Lady, next in line, Alpha's daughter is there so don't rush me" I hissed, rolling my eyes at him. I honestly don't give a damn if that sounded jealous.I rounded the side of the car to sit at the backseat, just because I know it'll annoy him and he wouldn't want to waste time by stalling. "What do you think you're doing? Why not sit here?" He asks, tapping his right hand on the passenger's seat as I opened the back door and settled in comfortably, his left elbow on the rolled down window."I don't want to, let's go" I answered, his face scrunched up like he wanted to argue,

Laura P.O.VWe stepped into Elder Magnus' conference room and the chatter in the room went silent. As expected, Elder Magnus spoke first, "So kind of you to finally join us Alpha", he glared, "It's not like we've been waiting for you for about 30 minutes now or anything" he added, tapping at his wristwatch."Greetings to you too, Elder Magnus" I fixed him a pointed glance to show I was not scared of him. Evil people like him feasted on the fear of others."Welcome Alpha", Elder Lucina greeted bowing her head. She's a kind elder, one of the very few of them who still remained loyal to the pack instead of their pockets. Then Elder Axels, and others in the room followed suit."Thank you elders, I apologize for keeping you waiting" I told them as I headed to the seat at head of the table. The meeting room was designed and arranged just like a normal conference room, with an oval shaped table in the centre, I could count 6 chairs on each side, some of which were unoccupied. Max took his se
