**Laura's POV**
As the days went by, no words were heard from the mysterious man who was hell bent over the spectra which made me nervous because I know that he was going to come back, that's for sure. No one is certain if he's truly the beast of the east but then, let's forget about him. I haven't paid much attention to elder Magnus but his action's this time got me curious of what his true motives were. "I feel sometimes is off." I complained to Maxwell while we took a stroll in the river bank at the back of the pack house. I love visiting here whenever I wanted absolute peace. The green tress, the water falls, slow and rhymatic waves of water... Everything speaks about nature and it's perfect output. "Forget about everything now and feel happy for once. Enjoy yourself and stop being hard on yourself.. remember that the evil ones would keep doing evil and not a soul can change that about them." He advised and i admired him alot. How blind was I that i didn't even notice him in my past life? Talking about my past life, I remembered something and that got a frown to appear on my face. "Whats wrong?" Maxwell asked me while covering the space between us. I wasn't going to bore him with how bitter I feel... I'll rather enjoy these moments with him. "What are your likes and dislikes?" He asked, I turned to look at him when a smile found its way up my lips. "Don't you dare go to your bitter time." He added and i laughed. "Well, I like the sound of rainfall, waterfall... I just love nature and i dislike being grounded. When I was younger, I played around with Sonia and hurt my knee. My mom was so angry that I got grounded for days." I reminisced of the those days and joy filled my heart. They might be painful to remember but that's what kept me going in my teenage age. "I think we should go back to the pack house now, Sonia would soon start searching for you." Maxwell stood and left the scene and just like he said, Sonia appeared from no where. Such a joy kill. "What are you doing here alone Laura? I know you love coming here, but, alone? Without me?" She joked and I had to put on a fake smile just like she's doing right now. "Sorry, I just needed to relax and the thoughts about calling you didn't cross my mind. " I replied truthfully. " Well, that's okay. " I stood up and wr both headed back to the pack house because it was getting dark already. Looking at Sonia right now, my body itched, my breathing heightened and eyes got bloodlust. Being cursed, I wanted blood and had craved. It since the very first day I was brought back in time. That's the consequences of being reborn, afterall nothing comes without a price. The more I tried keeping this part of me in a tight corner so as not to drink blood and loss my wolf form and turning into a rouge, I felt like dying because it's hard. I'm losing it, I've been trying but it seems today recycled around all the days I've endured. I stared intently at Sonia's veins as we walked back to the grand pack house, seeing those veins moving and blood passing through it, I almost held her. Well, I can't see those veins if not for the far sight and hearing I got from the moon goddess. "Laura?" Sonia called and stopoed in her tracks to look at me but I immediately looked away. "Whats wrong with you? I've been talking to you but you weren't responding." Shut up bitch, I'm dealing with my inner demon, one I have to suffer because of you. Well, I couldn't say those words out. "I'm fine Sonia." No matter how I tried to sound normal, it failed. "I get you're still d—" "I said I'm fine!" I hissed and heard her mutter the word "bitch." "What did you just call me?" I asked her angrily that was when I realized the distance between us. She would question on how i knew. "What?" Goodness, she didn't even hear me. I walked into my chambers when I got to the pack house and avoided anything anyone tried to say to me. I was going crazy on the inside and wouldn't want anyone to see me that way. "Alpha, you have a visitor." A guard muttered as he knocked slightly at my door. A grunt escaped my lips because I wasn't expecting to see anyone. But who could this be? I can't find out I don't get up from the bed, that's right. "On getting to the throne room, I saw a feminine structure facing the wall as she admired the skulptures and designs in tje throne room. " Ehem.... " I coughed slightly and she instantly turned around making me gasp. Damn! Her eyes like that of an ocean accompanied with her platinum blonde hair and skin. If not for the fact that I've encountered the moon goddess once, I would have concluded that this is the moon goddess. For the very first time, I felt like my heart was melting. I'm beautiful yes I know, but she, she's more than beautiful. Lilly of the valley I guess. Her white floral gown spread back as the cool breeze hit her skin. "You're gorgeous." I stated truthfully and watched as a smile escaped her lips and exposed her dimples. "Thank you Alpha Laura." Her angelic vice resounded in the room. Oh wow, she knows my name. "You are?" I asked while offering her a seat. "Call me Niandra." "Niandra..." I repeated like I'm trying to master the name so as not to forget it. "You're welcome Niandra but what brings you the Black pearl pack?" I asked her and watched the smile she had on fade away. I looked around me only to realize that the room was filled with both the council of elders, some pack members, Sonia, Alex, Maxwell and Xavier. Okay, this is a good time for a formal introduction. "I was sent by the beast of the east."**Laura's POV**"I was sent by the beast of the east." Niandra blurted out causing everyone to stop whatever they were doing. Everyone dreaded to hear that name and how can she say it without fear?"What does he want with us?" Elder Draco asked immediately."I don't think I need to explain anything as you have encountered him once or twice if I'm not mistaking. " Niandra stated and I struggled to find the soft lady I met few seconds ago but couldn't. Who sat before me was nothing but a cold and ruthless lady. She looks like a siren but damn it she ain't."Are you a siren? " Sonia asked with jealousy and pure hate in her eyes. Sonia has always been like this, she easily muster up hatred for someone. "I didn't come here for you so I guess I owe you no answer. Niandra replied without soaring Sonia another glance. "So, the beast of the east is the man who —""I don't know what man you're talking about but according to him, he has encountered y'all before. Think about it." Niandra replie
**Laura's POV**It's been paste weeks and now words from anyone pertaining the Spectra but things keeps happening.I couldn't help but imagine the demon Sonia had turned herself into .How absurd! I slowly stared at everyone and could see a mixture of guilt displayed on their faces. Sonia tried to hold up the deviant devilish look but it was clear she couldn't hold it up for long. I've already had enough of their stupidity and I was fed up with everything. I really do not care how Elder Magnus stared at me right now, but honestly, if looks could kill, I'd be dead."Whatever you do, don't you dare think this would be the end of everything... Just put a smile on your face while you still have the chance to do so!" Niandra warned angrily and i was trying to proceed what exactly had happen. " Gone are the days where I'd get scared of you Sonia... You're nothing but a cloud and the moment you disappear, it becomes beautiful all day... " Niandra retorted while she huffed." Sonia, do
**Laura's POV**I got frightened at the sight before me. I didn't know Sonia could go this far by doing this in open. "What do you think you're doing? Don't tell me you're the mastermind of this?" I muttered in shock." Common on, I can be that stupid, no matter how I really want to deal with you, I can't go to this length." Sonia replied with a sly smirk displayed on her face. I don't trust her, not even in this situation. She just made it clear that she wants to deal with me... I can't even let my guards down. I was naive before but she'll suffer. She must suffer. I looked at Maxwell who was still resting in my arms and wondered what I was going to do with him."Why is there a sword in your hand?" I asked curiously, obviously not minding the innocent look on her face.I noticed that Maxwell was beginning to get himself which got me a little bit excited. I looked backwards only to realize that the rouges were still fighting to come in.Maxwell is the son of the beta, he's fathe
**Laura's POV**Two weeks ago, I hosted an Alpha hurdle because I was advised to do so by the council of elders. Everything seems so good now. The Alpha's hurdle was still on and bored me decided to walk around for a while. I stood up and what I had in mind was going to meet up with Maxwell wherever he was. I don't even care if he's with the others.... .I need him. "Laura?" Sonia called me immediately she laid her eyes on me. If she talks like this and behaves like this I don't think we'd ever have issues."How can I help you." I asked her with hands akimbo."Nothing, don't act like anything is special about you, just wanted to have drinks with you." She replied sarcastically rolling her eyes at me.I scoffed and retorted back, I rolled my eye at her too.I really do want to have a very cold drink for real but the thing is, I don't and at the same time, I want to. I can't resist the urge so I'll just have her make it already. "Standing there and drooling at the same time won't make
LAURAI was eating my breakfast silently when a maid walked up to me with a bouquet of flowers. “Good morning, Luna. Someone sent these for you,” she said.I was confused at first but collected it, eager to check the card. “Who is it from?” I asked her.“I…I don't know. A guard just told me to give it to you,” she replied.“Okay, you may go,” I dismissed her.I started hassling the flowers, trying to get the card out but it somewhat got stuck in the flowers. “Where the fuck is it?” I tried looking for it, but it was stuck.“Who is from?” Maxwell inquired. I looked at him with a sarcastic expression on my face. “Can't you see that I'm trying to look for it?” I told him.He raised his hands in surrender. “Sorry,” I heard him mutter. I chuckled at his statement, finally able to get the card out of there.“Who would even send you a card?” Sonia interjected. I didn't bother replying to her messages and just rolled my eyes and was finally able to open up the card.‘I hope when these flower
Sonia P.O.VFirst she rushes us, and now she's taking her time. Always giving commands like it's her birthright; technically, it is but she doesn't have to be so rude about it."Walk faster, we don't want to keep the elders waiting" Maxwell spoke from the driver's seat of the car. He's so head over heels in love with Laura and she won't even acknowledge him."Well, the meeting probably won't start till Madam Boss Lady, next in line, Alpha's daughter is there so don't rush me" I hissed, rolling my eyes at him. I honestly don't give a damn if that sounded jealous.I rounded the side of the car to sit at the backseat, just because I know it'll annoy him and he wouldn't want to waste time by stalling. "What do you think you're doing? Why not sit here?" He asks, tapping his right hand on the passenger's seat as I opened the back door and settled in comfortably, his left elbow on the rolled down window."I don't want to, let's go" I answered, his face scrunched up like he wanted to argue,
Laura's P.O.VMy driver drove as fast as possible, weaving through pack grounds till we got into Elder Magnus' compound. He's one of the top ranked elders, and according to my past life, very corrupt. Infact, he was the mastermind of everything. My parents really trusted him before their death.I opened to page 65, eyes skimming through the content there, and trying to decipher how I can properly explain its help to the council of elders. I hope Maxwell would be able to hold them off. My phone pinged, halting my thoughts. The screen brightened up, it was a text from Maxwell."Speak of the devil" I murmured.. "or the angel as the case may be"His text read, "I'll try to Alpha." Then three dots appeared underneath to signify he was still typing, "Are you okay?, Are you sure you don't need help?" The second text read. I smiled without even meaning to, always the worrisome one.I'm not oblivious to the fact that he loves me, he's been in love with me for so long. Even in my past life, he
Laura P.O.VWe stepped into Elder Magnus' conference room and the chatter in the room went silent. As expected, Elder Magnus spoke first, "So kind of you to finally join us Alpha", he glared, "It's not like we've been waiting for you for about 30 minutes now or anything" he added, tapping at his wristwatch."Greetings to you too, Elder Magnus" I fixed him a pointed glance to show I was not scared of him. Evil people like him feasted on the fear of others."Welcome Alpha", Elder Lucina greeted bowing her head. She's a kind elder, one of the very few of them who still remained loyal to the pack instead of their pockets. Then Elder Axels, and others in the room followed suit."Thank you elders, I apologize for keeping you waiting" I told them as I headed to the seat at head of the table. The meeting room was designed and arranged just like a normal conference room, with an oval shaped table in the centre, I could count 6 chairs on each side, some of which were unoccupied. Max took his se
