Chapter 15

**Laura's POV**

Two weeks ago, I hosted an Alpha hurdle because I was advised to do so by the council of elders.

Everything seems so good now. The Alpha's hurdle was still on and bored me decided to walk around for a while. I stood up and what I had in mind was going to meet up with Maxwell wherever he was. I don't even care if he's with the others.... .I need him.

"Laura?" Sonia called me immediately she laid her eyes on me. If she talks like this and behaves like this I don't think we'd ever have issues.

"How can I help you." I asked her with hands akimbo.

"Nothing, don't act like anything is special about you, just wanted to have drinks with you." She replied sarcastically rolling her eyes at me.

I scoffed and retorted back, I rolled my eye at her too.

I really do want to have a very cold drink for real but the thing is, I don't and at the same time, I want to. I can't resist the urge so I'll just have her make it already.

"Standing there and drooling at the same time won't make you gave a taste of the drink." Sonia hollered jolting me back to reality.

I've missed her delicious mixtures for real.

"Ew, glutton." A voice in my head screeched.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror and fought the urge of not covering my face with my hands. Saliva trailed down my neck and I quickly cleaned it with my hands.

"Let's get going already..." Sonia stated looking at me irritatedly.

I asked earlier to reduce the punishments she and Xavier were supposed to get so maybe this was a 'thank you' drink party I guess.

When we got to the garden where the little drink party would be held, I caught sight of Xavier adding something to the drink but he or Sonia didn't know I saw anything because I looked away almost immediately.

"Hello Laura." Xavier greeted in pretence as he gave me a stern look while I snickered.

"I see, you're healing..." I replied with sarcasm and irritation.

"We came here to have some drinks together not to fight over silly issues." Sonia scolded but I literally wasn't buying it.

" Where the heck could Alex be?" I asked, pretending not be interested in whatever they are doing and showing them that I wouldn't join them if Alex isn't here.

"Are you seriously gonna ignore us because Alex isn't here?" Sonia asked with bulging eyes.

She had her hope high, thinking I've found something special about him.

"Maybe, perhaps." I replied mischievously and smiled.

I love the mid games that I'm playing on both of them but I'd teach them a lesson. I stood up, pretending to be going out and they both held me back.

"Okay fine, I'd go call Alex. You're sweating so Xavier has to bring the mini fan." Sonia stated and they both went off.

I know that they both planned to give me this drink so I'd use it against both of them.

I took the drink that was in front of me which was obviously the drink that Xavier poisoned, I made sure I emptied the drink in Xavier and Sonia's already filled cups and had to make a refill for myself.

No doubts the drinks tasted so good that I almost emptied the whole bottle, lucky for me, it wasn't alcoholic.

"Oh my goodness!" Exclaimed the amused Sonia who had thought I actually drank from my own cup.

"What's wrong? The drink tasted so good that I almost finished everything." I said and pouted.

" You didn't almost finish everything, you literally finished everything....How interesting." Xavier who just got here with Alex stated and gave Sonia a knowing smile.

Well, the plan was to distract them, I don't want Alex no more.... Infact, he disgust me.

I and Alex exchanged looks and I gave him the look of irritation as I was confident I have everything under control.

Few minutes later after Sonia and Xavier had had their drink, Sonia stood up and rushed out making everyone curious as to what has happened to her.

Soon, Xavier ran off too.

What the heck is wrong with them? Did they see something scary?

"What's wrong with them?" I asked Alex who has been looking at me the whole time.

His face disgust me. Going back or thinking about my last life made me hunger for blood. I looked at Alex like a predator who just caught its prey... If I could have my way he'll be dead right now. That's what I want.

"I should be asking you that Alpha Laura." I'm glad he figured out what the matter was by himself. I didn't have to stress myself at all.

"Asking me what mate?" He immediately smirked and stood up from where he's sitting.

"If you know that, then why delay? Why not accept the mate bond already? You're putting our wolves in danger." Alex preached and i wasn't gonna buy that.

“No matter what you do or how you treat me, I'll always be here for you. We have been fated as mates.”

“You’re sick in the brain.just get out of here now.” I yelled at him.

“I will leave but just know that I'll never stop trying to win you over.” he said with a smirk on his face.

But, win me over how? That's ridiculous.

Winning me over, I wish he could do he can get the torture if his life. I'm so happy I get to crush whatever plan he and Sonia had arranged. I want to make my way easy with elder Magnus.

“Arrggh, I told you to leave already” as I turned with another punch. I heard a shrill cry that made my heart skip a beat. It was none other than Maxwell.

What the fuck is wrong with Alex just now?
