Writer's POV

Selena couldn't believe it when she heard the word "apologies." She immediately spoke up, her voice filled with confidence, "There's no need for my sister to apologize."

"You should know better than to interrupt when adults are speaking," Williams mother scoffed, her anger evident. She continued, "Look at the well-behaved children you've raised!"

Mr. and Mrs. Habsburg remained composed, but hearing the Cobbler couple talk about their children in such a way was hard to bear.

"My children are well-behaved. If anyone needs a caution, it's your son. Do you think we don't know of what he did on the engagement day?" Mrs. Habsburg finally couldn't hold back her frustration.

"My son had something urgent to attend to. And let's not forget, he was ready to make amends, but no, your daughter was so strong head!" Mrs. Cobbler replied, her annoyance clearly showing in her voice. "Your daughter rejected him right away and brought a mere man to marry in front of everyone.
