Chapter 4

"Did you both have a good relationship in the past? You even gifted her a villa," Esther said, turning to look at Oliver. Her voice was dripping with jealousy.

Since Oliver had just recently gifted her parents a huge apartment, she subconsciously assumed that he had also gifted Savannah with the deed to this house.

Savannah couldn't be bothered to explain. She just told Hanson, "Call the police, please."

"Wait!"

The first person to stop her was Esther. She was a famous actress, after all, and she would be the one most badly affected if the police got involved and the paparazzi caught wind of things.

"Savannah, can we talk?" Esther asked, looking at her.

Savannah glanced at her.

This was the first time she'd seen Esther in person. She had neat, short hair that framed her face, and she wore a white button-up shirt with a long, body-hugging skirt.

She wasn't quite the definition of pretty and didn't stand out among the throes of other prettier celebrities in the circle. However, she had quite the temperament, and that was what made her stand out. All of the roles that she played were pretty and charismatic characters.

She stood next to Oliver, and he was holding her hand tightly. Esther had spoken to Savannah in a haughty manner with her chin lifted. No other mistress could have been more shameless than her.

"I have nothing to say to a homewrecking mistress," Savannah said.

"Savannah, I am talking to you in a civil manner. Your attitude now is making me think that you're ill-mannered."

Esther frowned and continued bitingly, "I know that you're dissatisfied, but feelings can't be forced. If you continue making things hard for yourself, you're the one who's still on the losing end.

"Also, Oliver has already agreed to give you ten percent of the company's shares. Frost Entertainment is now worth more than a billion dollars, so he's already being very nice to you. Just take the money and leave. At the very least, you'll still have some dignity intact.

"But, if you keep being greedy, we won't go easy on you anymore."

"Are you done?" Savannah asked, finding it hilarious. "You're saying that the only thing your ex-convict of a father taught you was being a shameless side chick?"

"What did you just say? How dare you insult my father! Apologize! Apologize right now!"

Esther looked like she'd taken the insult hard. She marched forward and grabbed Savannah's wrist while yelling at her.

"Let go." Savannah had always hated it when anyone touched her, let alone an outsider. She shook Esther's hand off.

She hadn't used much strength. However, Esther let out a loud cry and fell to the floor in a crumpled heap. She then held her stomach and cried out loud. "It hurts! My stomach, it hurts!"

"Esther!" Oliver exclaimed, hurriedly picking Esther off the floor.

"Oliver, save our child," Esther said, turning pale.

"Don't worry. I'll send you to the hospital at once."

Oliver carried Esther as he hurried out of the house. While walking past Savannah, he said angrily, "Savannah, you knew that she was pregnant, yet you still pushed her! When have you become such a wicked woman?"

Esther lay in Oliver's arms, her eyes challenging Savannah.

Savannah just laughed coldly. "As expected from the current most popular actress. You're really good at acting."

"That's enough, Savannah!" Oliver looked thoroughly disappointed in her. "I will never forgive you if Esther or the child ends up getting hurt because of you!"

Savannah watched as Oliver left with Esther in his arms without even looking back. However, she didn't have time to feel sad because the police and movers arrived one after another.

The police sternly yet politely ushered the Frosts out of the villa. Meanwhile, the movers went straight to work and spared no feelings as they started throwing everything belonging to the Frosts out of the place.

Molly was so angry that her eyes rolled to the back of her head, overwhelmed by the situation. Meanwhile, Riley stomped her feet angrily while cursing at everyone. However, nobody paid them any heed.

The Frosts' household staff stood at the door, looking completely lost.

"You have 30 minutes to pack your things and leave," Savannah said, not wanting to make things hard for them.

One of the staff asked, "But what about our pay this month…"

"Go get your pay from the people you served. Understand?" Savannah asked, cocking her eyebrow.

The staff nodded and quickly dispersed after that.

A while later, the Frosts had been kicked out of the place, and the household staff had disappeared. The police and movers also left after they were done. All of a sudden, the huge villa descended into a loud silence.

It felt as though a huge performance had just come to an end, and the only person left behind was Savannah.

"Sav, are you… are you okay?" Natasha asked, walking into the villa.

"How could I not be okay? They should be the ones who aren't okay," Savannah replied, looking upward to contain the tears in her eyes.

Those people didn't deserve her tears. Her tears were a lot more precious than them.

"Get Mr. Lawless to draft up a new divorce agreement for me. This time, I want 51% of Frost Entertainment's shares."

Since feelings weren't reliable anymore, Savannah decided to let money do the talking instead.

At the same time, the doctors at Scarlett Hospital did a full-body checkup on Esther, but everything was normal. She was completely healthy.

However, since Esther was still sobbing and crying her eyes out, the doctor couldn't possibly say that she was just putting on an act. So, he decided to give her some pregnancy supplements and had her stay in the hospital for a while for further observation.

Esther was still sobbing quietly in Oliver's arms in her ward.

"Luckily, nothing happened to the baby. Otherwise, I would have died from guilt. I thought your wife was a highly educated elite who would understand and be more forgiving of our feelings for each other. But I didn't think that she'd want to get rid of my baby.

"I don't care if she hates me. But our baby is innocent!"

"I never thought she'd get so jealous like this, either," Oliver said with a frown.

He sighed helplessly and said, "I'll try to speed up the divorce proceedings with her as quickly as possible. I won't give her another chance to hurt you."

"Okay. I trust you," Esther said, shyly reaching up to kiss Oliver on the lips.

"Ms. Stone, the IV drip infusion is done. I'll remove the needle for you—Oh, I'm so sorry!"

The nurse who'd knocked before entering the ward accidentally caught them kissing and gasped in surprise.

"It's okay," Esther said, blushing. She then extended her arm where the needle was inserted into the back of her hand.

After removing the needle, the nurse knew to leave immediately. She got back to her station and started gossiping with the rest of the nurses there.

"Say, do you know that the patient in ward 16 is Esther Stone, the popular actress? This is the first time I've ever seen her in person. She's so beautiful!"

"Esther Stone? She's not that pretty. Have you never seen Savannah Lexington? She's so beautiful that her smile can light up a whole town. It's a pity that she retired from acting," another nurse piped up.

"The man with Esther must be the CEO of Frost Entertainment. He's tall, handsome, and rich! Esther's living the ultimate dream. I'm so jealous of her…"

Before the nurse could finish her words of admiration, the head nurse, Bianca Anderson, suddenly walked in through the door.

"Are you all done with your work? Why are you gossiping like you've got nothing better to do?"

The nurse station immediately went quiet. Bianca didn't speak to them anymore. Instead, she turned and left to make a phone call.

"Dr. Campbell? Oliver Frost just brought in a pregnant woman to check on the baby. It seems like the rumors online were true after all."

"Alright, I got it," John Campbell replied on the other end of the line. After hanging up, he thought for a while before ultimately dialing Savannah's number.

"Dr. Campbell?"

"Sav, Bianca just told me that Oliver came to the hospital with another woman to check on her pregnancy today. Also, I saw the news about him proposing to another celebrity. What's going on?" he asked.

"Oh. He fell in love with someone else. We're getting a divorce," Savannah answered honestly.

"Ah, what a pity. I thought Oliver was a good guy. I never thought he was a playboy. It seems like everything you did for them had been in vain.

"But Sav, don't be discouraged. Plenty of people get married and divorced nowadays. Isn't there a saying among you youngsters about there being plenty of fish in the sea and the next one will always be better?"
