Chapter 6

As a seasoned agent in the industry, Natasha had connections with many reporters.

The next day, the internet exploded with news that Oliver, the CEO of Frost Entertainment, was rumored to be secretly married. Online trolls added fuel to the fire, accusing Esther of being the third party in Oliver and Savannah's relationship.

Oliver had made his mark in the entertainment industry in just three years, proving his capabilities.

Frost Entertainment's public relations team sprang into action. They swiftly organized a press conference to manage the crisis.

At the press conference, Esther broke down in tears. With fervor, she insisted she was a woman of integrity who would never come between anyone's marriage.

Her fans rallied behind her, bombarding critics with a torrent of complaints and outraged comments.

As the clash between Esther's fans and netizens intensified, an anonymous user suddenly leaked a video online. It was a clip from three years ago, and it showed Savannah and Oliver obtaining their marriage certificate at City Hall.

Natasha had recorded it, saying she wanted to capture the happiest moment of her best friend's life.

The snippet that circulated online clearly identified Oliver, while Savannah remained hidden from view. Her back was the only part visible.

The video's impact was immediate. Within moments, "Oliver Frost's Secret Marriage Confirmed" and "Esther Stone: the Mistress" soared to the top of the trending topics.

Esther went from a famous celebrity to a pariah overnight. Every day, throngs of reporters camped outside her door.

Terrified, she wouldn't even step outside. She halted her work and even lost several key brand endorsements.

"What is Savannah doing? Is she trying to destroy us?" Esther huffed.

As she lay in bed, she felt waves of sharp pain in her lower abdomen. Previously, she had faked a scare with the baby, but now, her anger had taken a toll on her.

"You don't even love her anymore. Why can't she just leave us alone? Why does she have to be so vengeful? Is this what you call sweet and gentle?"

Oliver pressed his lips together, a deep frown creasing his brow.

Three years ago, the Frost family had been teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, and Savannah had been the one to save them. Back then, she had seemed like an angel to him.

After they got married, she managed the household and took care of his mother, playing the gentle wife and perfect daughter-in-law. Oliver had never imagined someone as mild-mannered as her would turn around and stab him in the back.

"She's targeting you to force me to agree to her divorce demands," Oliver said with a note of resignation.

"What other demands has she made? Didn't you already give her ten percent of the company's shares? What more does she want? All these years, she has been living a good life abroad, while you've been working tirelessly for the company. She doesn't care about you, but I do!"

Esther clutched her chest, her eyes red with frustration.

Oliver reached out and pulled her into his arms. "Three years ago, the company was in trouble. Savannah was the one who invested a lot of money to save Frost Entertainment. That's why if we divorce, she's asking for 51% of the company's shares."

"What?" Esther was in disbelief. "Savannah invested in Frost Entertainment?"

"Yes. If it weren't for her, the company would have gone bankrupt three years ago," Oliver admitted with an awkward expression.

Esther's mind went blank. Three years ago, she had just begun her career and knew nothing about this. She never expected that the man she had schemed so hard to win over was just putting on a facade.

Still, Oliver was the best choice, compared to being some older man's mistress.

"51% of the shares? That would mean the company belongs to Savannah! No way, absolutely not!"

"Yeah. The company is something we both built. I don't want to hand it over to her either, so I'm planning to offer her other assets instead," Oliver explained.

Esther's face fell. Frost Entertainment was now worth billions of dollars, and selling 51% of the shares would bring in at least 500 million dollars. It would drain the Frost family completely.

She then asked, "If you give her all that money, what will happen to us? What about our child?"

"I still have the company, and I have you," Oliver answered, gripping her hand tightly. To him, Esther was a resilient woman, someone who would stand by him through thick and thin.

However, a wave of uncertainty washed over Esther. She felt confused and hesitant, yet there was no room for regret now. She had to hold on to Oliver and officially become Mrs. Frost.

After calming Esther down, Oliver stepped out of the room and called Savannah.

"What is it?" Savannah's voice, drawn out in a lazy tone, revealed her complete indifference.

Oliver's tone was heavy with suppressed anger as he said sharply, "Savannah Lexington, I've finally seen your true colors. You'll stop at nothing to achieve your goals!"

"What did you expect? Did you think I was some kind of saint?" Savannah chuckled sarcastically.

Not wanting to engage in a heated argument over the phone, Oliver replied tersely, "Let's discuss the divorce."

"Fine. Meet me at Hanson Lawless' office tomorrow morning."

Without another word, Savannah hung up.

"Look at all this buzz; it far surpassed the time Oliver proposed with fireworks. Aren't they always flaunting their romance? Let's give the public something to really talk about this time!" Natasha said as she leaned back on the couch, scrolling through the entertainment news on her phone.

Savannah hummed dismissively. "Oliver asked me to meet tomorrow to discuss the details of the divorce. Can you give Mr. Lawless a heads-up?"

Natasha gestured an "okay" and set her phone down before picking up a script from the coffee table to browse through.

As a seasoned agent, she had a keen eye for selecting scripts. Most of the award-winning projects Savannah had been part of were thanks to Natasha's choices.

"New script?" Savannah asked, glancing at the printed pages in Natasha's hands.

"Yeah, it's a political drama. Are you interested?"

Savannah lowered her gaze, her expression distant and unfocused. It had been three long years since she had stepped away from the glitz and glamor of the industry. Would those who once admired and supported her still remember her?

That night, Savannah didn't sleep well. Memories of the spotlight she had once reveled in replayed in her mind. In the dream, she stood on stage with a bouquet in hand, basking in the applause.

But suddenly, the lights went out, and she plunged into a dark abyss. She jolted awake from the nightmare, her lack of rest leaving her with dark circles that even foundation couldn't hide.

With little appetite for breakfast, she headed straight to Hanson's law firm to discuss the details of the divorce agreement.

Oliver was punctual, arriving right on time as promised. He wore a white shirt and black trousers.

Seeing him in the white shirt she adored during their divorce negotiation struck Savannah as ironic. Unfortunately, he was no longer the charming man she remembered.

Oliver, flanked by his lawyer, sat across from Savannah. "There's no way I'm agreeing to give you 51% of Frost Entertainment's shares," he stated firmly.

The lawyer beside Oliver was the same one Savannah had introduced to him years ago. They had served as Frost Entertainment's legal advisor ever since.

Savannah wasn't surprised by his stance.

"The entire internet is speculating about Mrs. Frost's identity. I've refrained from responding directly, just to give you a sliver of dignity."

She lifted her cup and took a sip of her coffee before adding, "The moment I publicly acknowledge that I'm Mrs. Frost, your darling will be branded as the mistress. Trying to clear her name by then would be nearly impossible."
