Chapter 93

Sarah woke up very early in the morning because she had been disturbed all night. Her blackmailer kept tormenting her.

She ordered the marina to prepare her bath, and she had a hot bath. After a while, she was done and dressed in black sweatpants and a black hoodie. She packed her hair in a messy bun.

Marina looked at Sarah’s reflection in the mirror, and she let out a sly smile. She knew that she had been tormenting her, and she overheard all of her recoding of tracking her.

She had successfully gotten an apartment in the other part of California and had paid for her mother's treatment. The remaining money will be used to find her lifestyle and disappear from their lives.

Sarah stormed out of the house and went into her car. Marina hurriedly took her earpiece and listened to the recordings from Sarah's car as she cleaned Sarah’s room.

Sarah uttered the cuss word and turned on her engine. She zoomed off into the street of Los Angeles. She had to meet with her mysterious friend Zane to help her track down her blackmailer.

Immediately. Marina had her bath and stormed out of the house. She followed Sarah in a text and heard all of her discussions.

Sarah arrived at a ghetto street and parked in the driveway. A mysterious man dressed in all black walked into her car. Marina couldn't recognise the face, no matter how closely she looked.

She felt satisfied that the guy had entered the car, and immediately she ordered the taxi to take her into the streets.

“Let's get rid of her today. I need you to track this number, and we will do the job.” Sarah spoke with so much determination in her voice.

“This number would only be tracked when it calls you since it wasn't registered.” Zane spike. His voice was deep, and he puffed his cigarettes.

“Let's wait for her call. She will give me a call to bring up her dollars.”

Marina heard all of their conversations, and she became scared. She didn't know what to do. She quickly removed the SIM card from her phone and rushed back to the mansion.

She became scared for her life, and she knew that she had to lay low for some time or else Sarah would kill her. She had heard all of their discussions in the car, which made her figure out how dangerous Sarah is.

Sarah waited for so many hours for her blackmailer to call.

Alex walked out of his firm with Zoey, and they got into his car. They head straight to the police station. Zoey was finally excited to see Elena and see how she was doing.

Alex had been working tirelessly at night looking into Elena’s case. He had to gather all of the information he had and ask her more questions so that he could carry out the investigations before her court hearing.

Sarah waited all day, and there were no calls. Zane had given her orders on what to do when she received a call, and she left the ghetto street.

Sarah got back home to see her mother waiting at the door. They both walked to her room, and the mother closed the door behind them.

She gave Sarah a questioning look as she noticed how Sarah looked tired and she wouldn't say a word.

“How did it go?”

Sarah nodded her head and placed her hands on her hips. She exhaled deeply and closed her eyes. “She didn't call. We just have to wait for her, and we will know what to do,” she spoke and lit her cigarettes.

“This person is trying to play smart. I will make sure I spare nothing when I finally have him in my hands,” she shouted.

Marina listened to the recordings she placed in Sarah’s room. That's when she knew that he was playing with fire.

She reached for her bag and broke the sip cars. She walked into the garden and stood at the pond where she threw the SIM card.

It wouldn't be so hard before they tracked her and didn't want to leave any traces behind. She hurriedly went out and got a new SIM card.

She texted Sarah, “I know that game you are playing. Trying to get me to call you so that you could track my number is a waste of time. If I were you, I wouldn't play smart. Do not play with fire,” Marina texted.

She fixed her headphones and listened to Sarah's recordings. She heard when Sarah read the text out loud to her mother, and after that, she heard glass shattering on the floor.

She couldn't believe that somebody would be 10 steps ahead of her.

Immediately her mother calmed her down. She was determined to do all it took to catch this blackmailer.

“Mother, I will crush this person,

Immediately, her mother walked out of the room and sent for Marina, but Marina was nowhere to be found.

“Where is the marina? I have been looking for her. Tell her to meet me now wherever she is or she will lose her job.” Mrs. Williams threatened and walked to her room.

Immediately Marina got home, and the workers informed her. She became scared and didn't know why they were looking at her. Her conscience was judging her.

She slowly walked into the hallway to Mrs. Williams's room. “Ma'am, you sent for me,” she spoke.’

“Where have you been in your low life?” Mrs. Williams asked.

"Maam, I rushed out to get some drugs. I had been feeling well lately,” she spoke, and her body trembled.

Mrs. Williams walked up to her and noticed how she was. She saw her trembling, and she told the lie that Marina had told.

“Go clean up Sarah’s room,” she ordered.
