Sarah woke up very early in the morning because she had been disturbed all night. Her blackmailer kept tormenting her.
She ordered the marina to prepare her bath, and she had a hot bath. After a while, she was done and dressed in black sweatpants and a black hoodie. She packed her hair in a messy bun.
Marina looked at Sarah’s reflection in the mirror, and she let out a sly smile. She knew that she had been tormenting her, and she overheard all of her recoding of tracking her.
She had successfully gotten an apartment in the other part of California and had paid for her mother's treatment. The remaining money will be used to find her lifestyle and disappear from their lives.
Sarah stormed out of the house and went into her car. Marina hurriedly took her earpiece and listened to the recordings from Sarah's car as she cleaned Sarah’s room.
Sarah uttered the cuss word and turned on her engine. She zoomed off into the street of Los Angeles. She had to meet with her mysterious friend Zane to help her track down her blackmailer.
Immediately. Marina had her bath and stormed out of the house. She followed Sarah in a text and heard all of her discussions.
Sarah arrived at a ghetto street and parked in the driveway. A mysterious man dressed in all black walked into her car. Marina couldn't recognise the face, no matter how closely she looked.
She felt satisfied that the guy had entered the car, and immediately she ordered the taxi to take her into the streets.
“Let's get rid of her today. I need you to track this number, and we will do the job.” Sarah spoke with so much determination in her voice.
“This number would only be tracked when it calls you since it wasn't registered.” Zane spike. His voice was deep, and he puffed his cigarettes.
“Let's wait for her call. She will give me a call to bring up her dollars.”
Marina heard all of their conversations, and she became scared. She didn't know what to do. She quickly removed the SIM card from her phone and rushed back to the mansion.
She became scared for her life, and she knew that she had to lay low for some time or else Sarah would kill her. She had heard all of their discussions in the car, which made her figure out how dangerous Sarah is.
Sarah waited for so many hours for her blackmailer to call.
Alex walked out of his firm with Zoey, and they got into his car. They head straight to the police station. Zoey was finally excited to see Elena and see how she was doing.
Alex had been working tirelessly at night looking into Elena’s case. He had to gather all of the information he had and ask her more questions so that he could carry out the investigations before her court hearing.
Sarah waited all day, and there were no calls. Zane had given her orders on what to do when she received a call, and she left the ghetto street.
Sarah got back home to see her mother waiting at the door. They both walked to her room, and the mother closed the door behind them.
She gave Sarah a questioning look as she noticed how Sarah looked tired and she wouldn't say a word.
“How did it go?”
Sarah nodded her head and placed her hands on her hips. She exhaled deeply and closed her eyes. “She didn't call. We just have to wait for her, and we will know what to do,” she spoke and lit her cigarettes.
“This person is trying to play smart. I will make sure I spare nothing when I finally have him in my hands,” she shouted.
Marina listened to the recordings she placed in Sarah’s room. That's when she knew that he was playing with fire.
She reached for her bag and broke the sip cars. She walked into the garden and stood at the pond where she threw the SIM card.
It wouldn't be so hard before they tracked her and didn't want to leave any traces behind. She hurriedly went out and got a new SIM card.
She texted Sarah, “I know that game you are playing. Trying to get me to call you so that you could track my number is a waste of time. If I were you, I wouldn't play smart. Do not play with fire,” Marina texted.
She fixed her headphones and listened to Sarah's recordings. She heard when Sarah read the text out loud to her mother, and after that, she heard glass shattering on the floor.
She couldn't believe that somebody would be 10 steps ahead of her.
Immediately her mother calmed her down. She was determined to do all it took to catch this blackmailer.
“Mother, I will crush this person,
Immediately, her mother walked out of the room and sent for Marina, but Marina was nowhere to be found.
“Where is the marina? I have been looking for her. Tell her to meet me now wherever she is or she will lose her job.” Mrs. Williams threatened and walked to her room.
Immediately Marina got home, and the workers informed her. She became scared and didn't know why they were looking at her. Her conscience was judging her.
She slowly walked into the hallway to Mrs. Williams's room. “Ma'am, you sent for me,” she spoke.’
“Where have you been in your low life?” Mrs. Williams asked.
"Maam, I rushed out to get some drugs. I had been feeling well lately,” she spoke, and her body trembled.
Mrs. Williams walked up to her and noticed how she was. She saw her trembling, and she told the lie that Marina had told.
“Go clean up Sarah’s room,” she ordered.
Elena’s POV:I woke up very early in the morning when I heard noises coming from the cell. I had not been able to sleep all night long because I had constant nightmares and I was panting.I managed to get a little sleep, which was later disrupted. My eyes opened, and our cell was opened. “All of you, undress and go to the bathroom right now,” the female warden spoke; her voice was loud and stern.I stripped off my clothes and covered my body with my hands. I was still very shy and wasn't used to prison life.“That lady is still a newbie. You better get used to it, bitch,” one of the inmates laughed, and the whole inmates started laughing at me.We went into the bathroom, and I quickly washed up. I brushed my teeth and my hair. It's been a week and I have not had my bath. Our time was ticking, and I didn't want to be sluggish. I washed up and made sure that my body was cleaned. It was always busy here, and there was no room for slughishness. The first time I was sluggish, I was alrea
Nicklaus’s POV:I woke up very early in the morning. I had not been able to sleep. I remember when Elena and I were still married. How we would go to bed and cuddle each other.I remembered how I would wake up to her soft breath and her beautiful and pale skin.I exhaled deeply and placed my hands on my face. It's been so hard to get over her, and I wondered what she was doing. I thought about how she was coping.I had not been able to get my mind off her, and I wanted to feel her touch so bad. I regretted why I made love to her sister Sarah that night. I wished I had controlled myself instead of letting her seduce me.I get angry that she was the one who was carrying my child, and I am being forced to marry again against my wish. If Elena had been pregnant, maybe I would have convinced my father not to hand her over to the police. Maybe I would still be with her and love her, but she had betrayed me in ways that I couldn't imagine. Tomorrow will be her court hearing, and that's when
Elena walked into her room with tears rolling down her cheeks. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Immediately she heard footsteps, and she collapsed on the ground as she sobbed, not minding when it was.She felt hurt that Nicklaus had visited her again just when she was getting over everything. She kept sobbing until a gentle voice came from behind. “Elena?” it called.“Nicklaus I have told you to leave me the fuck alone. Go away!” She shouted. There was a moment of silence. Immediately, Elena turned around, and she was stunned to see that it wasn't Nicklaus but Alex and Zoey. She stood up from the floor and walked up to them. “I am so sorry about that. I thought it was him.”“It's fine, Elena. We saw Nicklaus on his way out. What did he come here for?” Zoey asked, narrowing her eyes. “Never mind, Zoey. He had chosen his side already.” Elena spoke and kissed her teeth. “It's so good to see you both.?“How are you both doing? She asked.“We should be asking you that. How ar
Sarah’s POV:I winced in pain with my eyes closed. I cried hard when I remembered how close I was to finding out who the culprit was. I was this close to finding out her identity, and if I had gone with my gun, it wouldn't have been hard for me to take her life. I gathered the strength and tried to stand up when I felt a sharp pain in my ankles, and I screamed, “Ahh ahh.” I held my leg tightly, and I realised that I had injured my left ankle while I was fighting that bastard. It was too painful to bear, but I managed to get up. After catching my breath for some time, I leapt, trekking a distance to my car, and got in. I felt happy that I hadn't injured my right leg, or I wouldn't know how to drive and find my way back to the house. I started the car engine and immediately rushed down to the hospital to dress my swollen leg. I wanted it to be checked properly and hoped that I would be able to attend Elena's court hearing today. I could not afford to miss it fit anything. The docto
***COURT HEARING***Today is the court hearing for Elena. Elena was still asleep when she heard a loud noise. “Wake up, Elena. You have to prepare right now,” the voice was authoritative. She was woken up very early in the morning at dawn to prepare for her court hearing today. The wardens were strict, and she couldn't help but do whatever they asked her to do.She wished she could get enough sleep because she had been feeling weak and nauseous lately. It had not been good for her. She hadn't gotten enough rest, even though she slept all night long. She couldn't understand why she felt like that. After having her bath, she was dressed in red corporate wear, which brought out her curvy figure, and her hair was styled. She sat on the chair and watched them style her hair. She didn't know if today would be the last day she would be putting on fancy clothes and make-up or if she would regain her freedom. She was just numb and didn't want to think about it too much. Nicklaus woke up e
Elena’s POV:I dragged my feet on the ground as I followed the warden into the courtroom. I had not been myself lately.I walked into the courtroom and sat down near Alex in the front row. I turned around, and my eyes and Nicklaus's eyes met. I shifted my gaze and looked to see Sarah sitting beside him; she caught his attention and was holding him in his hands. She let out a sly smile. Her face was dripping with mockery. I couldn't stand the sight of it, so I quickly removed my eyes from her.I looked around to see my father and my stepmother seated behind the Coleman family. I could count how many people were seated behind me. I felt a huge lump in my throat, and I wished the ground would just open up and swallow me. I didn't know what to do.I realised that the only people I had were Zoey and Alex, my lawyer. Irina also walked inside and sat close to me. Everybody else stood against me. I feel grateful for their little support, and then I knew that I had to fight and not give up.
Elena's POV:I blink my eyes open, and I find myself lying on a bed. I couldn't understand what was going on. Just now I was in the courtroom; how come am I lying on the bed?I turned my head sideways and tried to clear my blurry vision. Everything was blurry until it gradually became clear; that's when I realised that I had been hospitalised. After some time, I recalled that I had been feeling uneasy in the courtroom, and I could remember when I was about to lose balance when Alex and Nicklaus rushed to help me out.I sat upright and cleaned my eyes with the back of my palms. I tried to get a hold of myself when the door was swung open. The doctor walked in with a smile on her face and a paper in her hand. “Hi, Elena? How are you feeling? Today?” She asked, smiling broadly.I nodded my head and smiled slightly. “I'm fine, thank you, doc,” I said gently. She walked close to me and opened the paper in her hands. “We had to run a couple of tests on you. Congratulations Elena. You are
Sarah’s POV:I walked elegantly into Nicklaus’s mansion and looked around with a satisfied look on my face. I felt great that I had now moved into Nicklaus's mansion and we could begin the process of planning the wedding. I placed my hand on my stomach as I walked around while the workers held my luggage. I was in awe. I am now the Mrs. of this house, and all of my orders will be carried out. I was shown to my room by Mr. Mike, and of course, I felt disappointed that I wasn't sharing the same room with Nicklaus.“Make yourself comfortable, ma'am. Just let me know if you need anything,” Mr. Mike spoke and bowed his head.“Mr. Mike,” I called; my voice was authoritative. “Yes, ma'am, so you need anything?” He asked; his tone was respectful.“Yes, where is Irina?” I asked. “She downstairs, ma'am,” he answered.“Send her to me,” I spoke and elegantly sat on the bed. I smoothed out my dress as Mr. Mike walked out of the bedroom, and I relaxed on the beautiful pillow.I let out a deep s
