Chapter 190

Nicklaus lay on the hospital bed, but he was feeling uneasy about the whole situation.

Anna saw him by the doorway as he struggled; she helped him out, “Nicklaus, you can't leave. You haven't fully recovered,”

Nicklaus father arrived and was surprised to see Nicklaus leave. “I have to go help Elena. I want to be by her side,” Nicklaus spoke.

“I am tired of being told what to do. Please get me out of here.”

Mr. Coleman and the nurse agreed; they threw Nicklaus out of the hospital in a wheelchair. They got into the car, and after what felt like forever, they arrived at the penthouse.

“Nicklaus walked in to see Zoey and Alex pacing around without Elena. He looked around, hoping to see her come out, but she didn't.

“Where is Elena?”

“She left with Sarah. I am still trying to track her location,” Alex said.

Immediately, Nicklaus reached for one of my keys and rushed out of the penthouse.

He reached for my car and zoomed off. He took his car tracker and tracked Sarah’s location.

Alex, Anna, Zoey, Sam, and Nicklaus’s father rushed into the car.

Immediately, he called the police. “I just sent you a location; send backups,” he ordered.

After a while, Nicklaus arrived at the location, but he couldn't drive into the woods. He sighted Alex’s car in front, and he walked in that direction.

Nicklaus walked in immediately, and he stopped the fight. He tried to help the child when Sarah pointed a gun at the three of them.

“You think you can get away so easily?”

"Sarah, keep the gun away. You are getting into so much trouble,” Nicklaus spoke.

“I don't care. Shut up. Everything I did, I did for you. I did for love,” she spoke as she teared up. “You never gave a damn about me. You only cared about Elena,” she cried, pointing the gun at them.

Nicklaus slowly walked up to her. “Sarah, please,” he pleased. Immediately, the police surrounded the environment, and Sarah vanished.

Alex and the rest of the team arrived. Elena rushed to carry her son and found out that he had been bleeding on his leg.

He was rushed to the hospital, and Anna helped tie the wound and stabilise him on their way to the hospital.

Elena cried her eyes out on their way as she tried to revive her son. “Jason, please, you can't do this to me. Please,”

“His pulse is stable now.” Anna spoke.

Elena felt a little bit of relief, and she couldn't wait to arrive at the hospital.

After what flew like forever, they arrived at the hospital. The nurses and paramedica helped with a stretcher, and Jason was rushed into the emergency room.

“I will make sure Sarah pays for this,” Elena swears.

After a few minutes, the doctor walked out, and they all ran up to him, feeling furious and impatient.

“Well, its a good thing his pulse was stabilised before he was rough here. He is doing better, but there is a little bit of a problem. He is rubbing out blood,” the doctor spoke.

“What do you mean by that doctor? Is the hospital also out of blood?” Nicklaus asked.

The doctor nodded his head. “Unfortunately, the hospital is out of blood at the moment. His blood type is not available, but his relatives could donate. That is the only option we have.”

Elena stepped in immediately. “I will donate, doctor. I'm his mother. Let's not waste much time,” she spoke.

“That would be great, but we have to run some tests on you to see if you are healthy enough to donate and if you are compatible,” he spoke.

“Let's do this right away. I am sure that I'm comparable,” Elena spoke.

“Okay, come with me,” he spoke, and they went to the examination room.

The doctor walked out of the examination room after a few minutes. “Doctor, can I come in?” Elena asked urgently.

“Unfortunately, your blood doesn't match with his.”

Elena’s jaw dropped. She was so disappointed that she didn't know what to do.

“Is there anybody in the house that can donate?” they asked.

Anna and Nicholas stepped forward.

“Well, I am off duty, and Jason is my blood. He is my grandson; I will donate,” she spoke.

“Okay, we need to test you, Mrs. Grey; come with me,” the doctor said, and she went into the examination room with him.

After a while, the doctors came out with a negative result also. “We are running out of time,” the doctor spoke.

Nicklaus stepped forward, “Try me,” he said, and he went into the examination room with them.

“you are compatible with Jason,” the doctor spoke. Immediately, the transfusion was done, and Jason was stabilised.

Elena was filled with joy, but she was also tired. "Well, he has to spend a night here with us, and also, Mr. Nicklaus, you have to be kept under close watch; you sustained a lot of injuries. You will both stay in the same ward tonight,” the doctor advised.

Nicklaus turned to everybody. “Well, its a miracle that I am compactible,” he said, feeling excited.

“You all should get some rest; I will stay back and watch over them,”

Anna turned to her, "Elena, darling, you also need to rest. You don't want to break down,”

“No Elena. My bodyguards are all over the place. I will stay with Jason tonight. Y'all needs to get some rest; I promise you, he will be fine.” Nicklaus spoke;

Nicklaus and Jason stayed in the same ward and the rest of them went home. Nicklaus sat on the sofa and tried to get enough rest rather than laying on the bed. He noticed Jason had a fever, and he called the doctors.

He watched over him like his own, but when Jason turned around, Nicklaus noticed a tiny birthmark on Jason’s neck. It was the same birthmark as his on his neck.
