Chapter 189

I blinked my eyes open to see myself on the hospital bed.

“Where is my baby?” I asked.

“You have to calm down, Elena. The police are everywhere searching for Wave right now. We will get a positive reply in no time,” he said calmly.

I shook my head and struggled with him to leave my hand as I got out of bed. “No, I can't sit here while my son is taken away from me; I have to find him. I am sure Sarah took my child,” I shouted.

Nicklaus and Sam walked up to me and said, "Please Elena. Let's get home and wait for the authorities. You have to trust me on this, I assure you. We will find your son,” Nicklaus spoke, and I became calm instantly.

“How can I go home when my boy is missing?” I cried out.

I held onto Nicklaus, and my head rested on his chest as I sobbed. “I want my boy,” I cried out.

Nicklaus stroked his hands through my hair. “He will be found; you have to trust me,” he spoke.

“I don't want to go home. I want to wait here. I know Sarah will come back here,” I said.

“It's fine then. Let's get to the police station so that you will get your statement,” Alex said, and I nodded my head in agreement.

“I will like to come with her,” Nicklaus spoke up.

I held his hands. “You need to stay here and recover. I will be fine,” I said.

“Nicklaus, Elena is right. You need to recover fully. I will take care of her,” Alex spoke.

Nicklaus nodded his head. “Please do and keep me posted if anything comes up,” he said, and we walked out of the room. I saw Anna standing by the door.

She walked up to me and wanted to console me, but I stopped her. “Not now, please,”

We arrived at the police station, and I couldn't hold myself from tearing up.

After a while, I gave my statement, and we went to one of Nicklaus’s guarded penthouses to relax. The place was heavily guarded, and he arranged for us to stay there.

Alex, Zoey, and Sam tried to calm me down, but there was no way that was happening.

I refused to eat; I didn't talk to anybody. I was just crying throughout. I kept my phone close to me because I knew that Sarah would call. I know her too well.

“Elena,” Sarah called.

“Where is my child?” I asked.

Sarah laughed hard on the other end of the line. She hung up immediately and sent me a picture. My child was tied up and blindfolded in the fields. Tears rolled down my cheeks.

Immediately, she called again, “Give me back my child, you bastard. I swear, if you hurt my child, I will kill you.” I threatened

“Well, that depends on you. I just sent you a location. Come alone if you want your child,” she spoke and hung up.

I went through my message and saw the location. I quickly searched for the keys and was about to run out when Alex held me.

“You can't go alone, Elena. Let's give this information to the police,” he spoke.

“And watch my son get hurt?” I asked. There was silence in the room. “I have to do this; I need my son.” I spoke and turned around to leave.

“I'm coming with you then,” Alex and Sam spoke in unison.

“No! No!” I shouted. “I will keep you all posted. I can't risk this. Please stay back. I don't want anything to happen to my son,” I spoke with my voice cracking.

I walked out, and Zoey rushed out to come with me. "Zoey, please respect my decision; I need to do this alone. It's my fight. Y'all can't keep helping me all the time. I need to do this,” I shouted.

I quickly got into Alex's car and zommed off to the location. It was quite difficult to locate it, but I kept driving.

After a few minutes, I arrived at a lonely road, and somebody signalled for me to stop. I stopped and walked out.

Sarah was standing by the driveway, and she gestured for me to come with her. I followed her without complaining.

After a long walk, we arrived at an old warehouse, and I stepped in. I saw Jason lying on the floor as he cried for hold. His eyes were blindfolded.

“My boy!” I shouted and ran to meet him, but Sarah stopped me.

She pulled me by the hair, and I paused. “Not without my command,” she said and slapped me hard on the face. I fell to the ground.

She brought out some documents and handed them over to me. “Sign your own part of the company to me, and I will let your son go,” she spoke.

I groaned, and I gave her a daring look. “You are a mother like me, Sarah. Treating a little boy like this is not healthy just because you want money and wealth. Fine, I will sign the damn papars; just know that you will rot in jail for life,” I snarled.

I picked up the pen and was about to sign when Sarah slapped me in the cheek. “I ordered you not to come with anybody; did you come with anyone?” she asked.

Before I could say a word, she reached for a stone and hit me hard on the head. I screamed in pain.

Jason stood up and rushed to me when he heard my scream, but Sarah pushed him on a hard rock, and he fell down.

I quickly rushed to Jason. “My baby, my baby,” I tapped. Sarah stood back as her eyes widened in shock. Jason didn't respond to me.

“Jason,” I cried out.
