Chapter 191

Nicklaus’s POV:

My eyes widened, and I was stunned. That was when I knew that something was fishy. I checked the birthmark and mine, and it was exactly the same and in the same position.

“This has got to be a joke,” I muttered silently.

“Could it be? Could it be that Jason is my son?” I asked, but I shook my head and tried to brush it off. My blood and his blood were compatible. He is 5 years old. The exact time Elena and I divorced.

Could it be that Jason is my son?” I asked myself the question repeatedly all night long. I didn't even get enough sleep.

I remembered how he would smile at me. His eyes and his smile were similar to mine. His black curly hair. Noe, everything is beginning to make sense.

If Jason is my child, why did Elena decide to keep it away from me? I kept wondering. I couldn't wait for the day to break so that I would confront Elena.

Everything is beginning to reveal itself. I have to get to the root of this. I watched as Jason slept, and I made sure that he was safe. I gradually drifted off into a deep sleep.

The next morning, the sun was rising, and I magmbaged to freshen up. I woke up and quickly checked for Jason beside me.

I was relieved when I said he was lying peacefully. After a few minutes, I freshened up, and so did Jason before everybody’s arrival.

“Did you have enough rest, Jason?” I asked.

"Yes, I did. I miss my mummy,” he said.

“Mummy will be here in no time, I said as I gave him breakfast. Just then, the door was opened. My father and Amelia arrived.

You walked up to me and held Amelia tight around me. I had missed her so much, and I couldn't stop thinking about her all night long.

I don't care if she is not my biological child. She is my legal child. She and Jason played for a while before everybody’s arrival.

The room was decorated with balloons, flowers, and cakes. Everybody was so happy, and we shared the good moment. We were discharged after a few minutes, and we went to my most guarded trust penthouse.

I won't let them go out in the street again while Sarah was still on the run. A lottel welcome home part was thrown for us as we stepped inside the house.

“Surprise,” they all cheered. We all had a good and wonderful time. It felt so beautiful. I had been waiting for Elena and me to have the perfect moment.

When it was sunset, everybody retired to their rooms for a little rest, and I walked up to Elena as she watched Jason, Amelia, and her mother play.

“They look beautiful together,” I spoke and stood beside Elena.

Elena sipped her drink. “You are right,” she said.

I turned to her, “Elena, we need to talk.” I spoke.

She turned to me and fixed her gaze on me. She looked so beautiful. The way she had always been. I reached out to kiss her, but she stopped me immediately.

“When are you planning to tell me, Elena?” I asked, looking at her eyes.

She blinked severally and smiled. “Tell you about what?” she asked.

“Jason has the same eyes, smile, and hair as I do. My blood was compactible with his last night. He was given birth five years after we separated,” I spoke, and tears were stating to gather in Elena’s eyes.

“What are you keeping from me? Is Jason my son?” I asked with tears filling my eyes.

Tears already rolled down Elena's cheeks, and her eyes were fixed on me. She opened her mouth to speak, but she couldn't find the right word.

“Answer me Elena, is Jason my?”

“Yes, Jason is your son, Nicklaus,” she confessed.
