Elena walked into her room with tears rolling down her cheeks. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Immediately she heard footsteps, and she collapsed on the ground as she sobbed, not minding when it was.
She felt hurt that Nicklaus had visited her again just when she was getting over everything.
She kept sobbing until a gentle voice came from behind. “Elena?” it called.
“Nicklaus I have told you to leave me the fuck alone. Go away!” She shouted.
There was a moment of silence. Immediately, Elena turned around, and she was stunned to see that it wasn't Nicklaus but Alex and Zoey.
She stood up from the floor and walked up to them. “I am so sorry about that. I thought it was him.”
“It's fine, Elena. We saw Nicklaus on his way out. What did he come here for?” Zoey asked, narrowing her eyes.
“Never mind, Zoey. He had chosen his side already.” Elena spoke and kissed her teeth. “It's so good to see you both.?“How are you both doing? She asked.
“We should be asking you that. How are you doing, Elena?” Zoey asked.
Elena didn't say a word.
Zoey stretched his hands to the other side of the bar and reached for Elena’s hand. “You are strong, and I promise you that we are doing everything possible to get out of here,” Zoey assured.
Alex spoke up, "Yes, Elena. We are trying our best. I will make sure that you are set free from this place tomorrow.”
“I wish it was that easy, but it's not,” she spoke. “They have evidence against me, and I don't know how to prove myself that I didn't commit any of those crimes," she explained, with tears gathering in her eyes.
“Don't worry. We have our way. I am a very good lawyer, and I believe that you are innocent, which is why I was using all my sweat to help you, Elena,” Alex said.
“How did you both manage to get in here? I know it is not allowed,”
Alex shrugged. “Well, I know my ways,” he whispered, and they all laughed.
They chatted and discussed as they to her company. She felt happy that she had both of them to hold on to.
“It's time for us to go, Elena. I have a lot of work to do.” Alex spoke. “I need to prepare hard against tomorrow. Take care of yourself, Elena,” he spoke.
“I love you, Elena. Please stay strong for us,” Zoey said. They waved at her, and both left.
Tears filled Zoey's eyes as she remembered Nickoaus.

Sarah paced around the room restlessly. Tomorrow would be Elena’s hearing, and she didn't want any of her plans to be ruined. She just wished that she was already a Coleman and tried to silence her blackmailer forever.
She had been disturbed by the way everything had happened.
Immediately, she got a call from an unknown number, and she picked it up immediately. She knew it was the blackmailer calling.
“Tomorrow is Elena’s court hearing. If you do not want things to go south, bring the money to that same location. Do not play smart, or else you will be the one going to jail.” The person spoke and hung up.
Sarab dressed up and changed into a black trouser, a black shirt, and a black boot. She slipped into a black coat and packed her hair in a messy bun. She was ready to do whatever it takes and take risks.
“I will not want things to go south,” she muttered.
She would go to any length to see that her plans were not ruined. She walked out of the room and went straight into her car.
It was a long drive, and she was alone at midnight. It was getting exhausting. She walked to the spot, scanning the environment, and dropped the money at the spot. She went back into the car, but when she was about to leave, she had a second thought.
She got out of her car and silently hid in the woods. She wanted to see who it was that blackmailed her. She wanted to know who the person with such audacity was.
After waiting for a few hours, she was already dozing off when she heard the leaves rustling. Her eyes widened immediately, and she saw a lady dressed in a black coat, looking around and hurried to take the money.
She silently stood up and picked a heavy wood. She followed the lady silently, and when the lady took the money and was about to take the money, Elena hit her on the head with a big stick.
“Argh…”
Marina shouted and managed to keep her mask stable. Elena reached for the wood again and tried to hit Marina on the head again, but Marina missed it.
Immediately, she gathered the strength to fight Sarah. Sarah fell to the ground and then started to struggle. Sarah gathered the courage to pull off Marian’s mask.
Marian quickly used her hands to cover her face. She didn't want to risk her life. With all of her strength, she grabbed the money and ran away, leaving Sarah alone on the ground.
Sarah sighed and let out a loud groan. “Fuck,” she shouted in disappointment. After some time, she stood up to leave when she realised that she felt a sharp pain in her ankle.
“Ouch,” she winced in pain, closing her eyes and reaching for her ankle. That's when she realised that she had sprained her ankle.
Sarah’s POV:I winced in pain with my eyes closed. I cried hard when I remembered how close I was to finding out who the culprit was. I was this close to finding out her identity, and if I had gone with my gun, it wouldn't have been hard for me to take her life. I gathered the strength and tried to stand up when I felt a sharp pain in my ankles, and I screamed, “Ahh ahh.” I held my leg tightly, and I realised that I had injured my left ankle while I was fighting that bastard. It was too painful to bear, but I managed to get up. After catching my breath for some time, I leapt, trekking a distance to my car, and got in. I felt happy that I hadn't injured my right leg, or I wouldn't know how to drive and find my way back to the house. I started the car engine and immediately rushed down to the hospital to dress my swollen leg. I wanted it to be checked properly and hoped that I would be able to attend Elena's court hearing today. I could not afford to miss it fit anything. The docto
***COURT HEARING***Today is the court hearing for Elena. Elena was still asleep when she heard a loud noise. “Wake up, Elena. You have to prepare right now,” the voice was authoritative. She was woken up very early in the morning at dawn to prepare for her court hearing today. The wardens were strict, and she couldn't help but do whatever they asked her to do.She wished she could get enough sleep because she had been feeling weak and nauseous lately. It had not been good for her. She hadn't gotten enough rest, even though she slept all night long. She couldn't understand why she felt like that. After having her bath, she was dressed in red corporate wear, which brought out her curvy figure, and her hair was styled. She sat on the chair and watched them style her hair. She didn't know if today would be the last day she would be putting on fancy clothes and make-up or if she would regain her freedom. She was just numb and didn't want to think about it too much. Nicklaus woke up e
Elena’s POV:I dragged my feet on the ground as I followed the warden into the courtroom. I had not been myself lately.I walked into the courtroom and sat down near Alex in the front row. I turned around, and my eyes and Nicklaus's eyes met. I shifted my gaze and looked to see Sarah sitting beside him; she caught his attention and was holding him in his hands. She let out a sly smile. Her face was dripping with mockery. I couldn't stand the sight of it, so I quickly removed my eyes from her.I looked around to see my father and my stepmother seated behind the Coleman family. I could count how many people were seated behind me. I felt a huge lump in my throat, and I wished the ground would just open up and swallow me. I didn't know what to do.I realised that the only people I had were Zoey and Alex, my lawyer. Irina also walked inside and sat close to me. Everybody else stood against me. I feel grateful for their little support, and then I knew that I had to fight and not give up.
Elena's POV:I blink my eyes open, and I find myself lying on a bed. I couldn't understand what was going on. Just now I was in the courtroom; how come am I lying on the bed?I turned my head sideways and tried to clear my blurry vision. Everything was blurry until it gradually became clear; that's when I realised that I had been hospitalised. After some time, I recalled that I had been feeling uneasy in the courtroom, and I could remember when I was about to lose balance when Alex and Nicklaus rushed to help me out.I sat upright and cleaned my eyes with the back of my palms. I tried to get a hold of myself when the door was swung open. The doctor walked in with a smile on her face and a paper in her hand. “Hi, Elena? How are you feeling? Today?” She asked, smiling broadly.I nodded my head and smiled slightly. “I'm fine, thank you, doc,” I said gently. She walked close to me and opened the paper in her hands. “We had to run a couple of tests on you. Congratulations Elena. You are
Sarah’s POV:I walked elegantly into Nicklaus’s mansion and looked around with a satisfied look on my face. I felt great that I had now moved into Nicklaus's mansion and we could begin the process of planning the wedding. I placed my hand on my stomach as I walked around while the workers held my luggage. I was in awe. I am now the Mrs. of this house, and all of my orders will be carried out. I was shown to my room by Mr. Mike, and of course, I felt disappointed that I wasn't sharing the same room with Nicklaus.“Make yourself comfortable, ma'am. Just let me know if you need anything,” Mr. Mike spoke and bowed his head.“Mr. Mike,” I called; my voice was authoritative. “Yes, ma'am, so you need anything?” He asked; his tone was respectful.“Yes, where is Irina?” I asked. “She downstairs, ma'am,” he answered.“Send her to me,” I spoke and elegantly sat on the bed. I smoothed out my dress as Mr. Mike walked out of the bedroom, and I relaxed on the beautiful pillow.I let out a deep s
Nicklaus’s POV:I sat in my office and turned my chair around. I was facing the Skyview window, and I watched the whole city from there. I placed my right hand under my clenched jaw, and my left hand was holding a stick of cigarettes. My mind wasn't exactly where I was looking. My mind was thinking about Elena the whole time. Seeing her in court today made me realise how much I have missed her, and it became worse when she collapsed to the ground. Now I realise that leaving her in police custody was a good idea. She must have gone through a lot of stress for her to collapse on the floor, and they wouldn’t even let me see her.I tried to see her and to have a word with her, but to no avail.“Who are you? Alex? What do you mean to Elena?” I muttered silently to myself. “I will make sure that I find out everything about you and what your relationship with Elena is,” I continued. Immediately, there was a knock on my door, and Mr. John walked in. “It's so good to see you, Mr. John.”
Elena’s POV: I walked into Alex's penthouse with my feet heavy on the marble floor. I looked around the whole place, taking note of my new environment, and I could not believe that I had left the police cell.It feels great knowing that I have left the police cell to be in a comfortable place, but it still hurts that everybody still doesn't believe me. I didn't even know how to prove my innocence and to prove myself to everyone that I was innocent of the crimes that I had been accused of. “Please come in,” Alex spoke, gesturing for me to come inside the penthouse. I followed him from behind and placed my hands on my stomach when I remembered that I had just been told about my present condition.Zoey followed me; her hands never left my arms. Alex stood in the doorway and said, “Elena, this will be your room; please feel at home. My home is your home."“Thank you very much, Alex. You are indeed a lifesaver.” I spoke and pulled away.Zoey walked up to me and said, “Elena, I would ha
Sarah’s POV:“You think moving in with your new fiance will save you from me? You have no idea what I am capable of.” I went through the text message over and over again with my heart pounding hard.I stayed in my room all day long, feeling restless and looking around, thinking of what to do. The text made me feel very insecure and restless. I thought moving in with Nicklaus would remove eyes from me, but it turns out this person knows a lot more information about me. I paced around the room tiredlessly and thought of what to do: “My plans of getting rid of the bastard failed again, and I can't keep paying her off for her silence. She's obviously using blackmail to collect instant cash from me. I have to do something.” I muttered silently to myself with my finger on my chin as I thought to myself. My eyes were cold and calculative as I thought about the whole plan. I remembered how I struggled with her the other day in the woods. I was this close to finding out her identity because
