Chapter 21: Flashback

LEAH’S POV

Hudson and Brixton’s arrival attracted the attention of all people inside the hall. Their presence commanded attention effortlessly. My eyes landed on their tall figures, and I felt my breath hitched. Their striking features were like God’s work of art, drawing all eyes towards them.

But then, I had to gather my composure. ‘Get a grip of yourself, Leah! How many times do you have to get distracted by their presence?’

For a brief moment, I thought I saw them glance in my direction and my heart started to race. I felt a wave of anxiety wash over me as I quickly turned away.

“Such fine-looking men.” Jane sighs in a dreamy tone. I didn’t bother reacting to the look she was throwing at me as I tried to mingle into the crowd of my colleagues, trying to disappear from the twin’s radar.

I couldn’t afford to be seen by them. Not tonight.
