LEAH’S POV

“Do you think he could be our daddy?”

Seeing the curious and expectant look on my son’s face made my heart clench. I felt like I have been poured cold water all over, realizing that it was either Brixton or Hudson whom he just met and was pertaining to.

“Darling…” I struggled to find the right words. Even I, myself, doesn’t know the real answer. Although I knew that I was one step closer to the truth, there was still a barrier that keeps me from confirming it.

“It’s all just a coincidence, baby.” I finally spoke after a few seconds, not wanting my son to notice the complicated look on my face.

But his serious gaze told me he wasn’t entirely convinced. He was such a smart boy and so perceptive for his age that I could literally see the wheels turning in his mind.
