Roberta POV

As I gradually came to my senses, Marcus's attitude quickly turned cold, and his gaze was as sharp as an icy blade, piercing my heart. I tried to sit up, but my weakness made it difficult for me to move.

The light in the room was still dim, and I knew for sure that Marcus was no longer the person I had imagined him to be.

Over time, Marcus's attitude towards me only got worse. He began to make me do menial tasks that only Omegas were supposed to do, such as sweeping the floor, cleaning the stables, and even preparing food for the wolf pack. I knew that these tasks were a huge burden on my body, but I had no choice but to bear them in silence.

The heavy work made me exhausted, but I gritted my teeth and refused to show weakness in front of him. Whenever I was alone, I would recall our past happy moments and the warm moments we shared, which sustained me through each difficult day.
