Roberta POV

"Marcus would have died if it weren't for me." Zora's arrogant voice echoed in my ears, filled with thick provocation. Every word of hers was like a sharp blade, stabbing into my heart.

I could no longer ignore Zora's existence. Every time she mentioned her "life-saving grace", Marcus chose to remain silent. I thought Marcus loved her because of this, but now it seemed that this love had turned into a shackle binding him. This raised a hint of suspicion in my heart.

Early the next morning, I found Booth. Booth seemed to always be on my side, but he always hesitated whenever it came to matters involving Marcus.

"Booth, I need your help," I said straightforwardly.

Booth nodded. "What's the matter?"

"Zora, her behavior is not right. I need to investigate her background and her true motives," I said without hesitation.

Booth raised an eyebrow, a glint of interest flashing in his eyes. "Oh? What did you discover?"
