Chapter One Hundred and Nineteen.

Aurora’s POV:

Nothing annoyed me more than the fact that I couldn’t move my body, even as the psychotic fool patted my hair gently, almost lovingly, and then turned around to face Klaus who looked like he was about to explode with rage but had somehow managed to keep himself in check.

“Thank you,” Klaus gritted out, “…for the flowers.” He added, pointing to the vile things that now lay in bed beside me. If I was feeling any better, I would’ve gasped.

For a minute, I was awestruck. It was impossible to believe that this was Klaus, my Klaus, thanking Damon for getting me flowers.

“King Klaus, I am sorry for the last time we met,” Damon said instead, ignoring the passive-aggressive stares that Klaus was throwing at him.

He gestured in my direction and with a nonchalant shrug, added; “You had the wrong impression of what was actually happening when you stepped into the house that day. Aurora here is my friend but she’s chaste.”
