Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Three.

Emily’s POV:

I clucked my tongue, smiling as the hot waiter set the steaming food tray in front of me. He didn’t ask questions as to why I had my face covered, neither did the security… or the other guests.

And that was surprising but at the same time, refreshing.

Klaus had chosen this spot for us to meet… he said it was quiet and that the atmosphere was nice, and oh well, he didn’t lie. Despite the fact that I had been exposed to luxury for most of my life, I still couldn’t help but marvel at this place. It was beyond luxury; this place was heaven.

My eyes surfed through the crowd for any traces of him and when I still didn’t see anything, I dug into the food. The bill was on him and I didn’t give a shit if he decided not to come at the last minute.

I was halfway into my steak when I noticed a looming presence behind me. The aura that came with it was massive… powerful, it had me subconsciously bowing my head and I didn’t need a soothsayer to know that it was King Klaus. He was the
