Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Nine.

Aurora’s POV:

I stood in a corner of the dark room with amusement gleaming in my eyes while Emily glared daggers at me. By the other end, just opposite Emily was Michael who was still fast asleep as a result of the effect of the drug I had knocked him out with.

Klaus’ guards had chained him to the metal chair and left him to my mercy… or so I thought until I smelled him, Klaus.

I didn’t even turn around to acknowledge him. I didn’t even flinch. “What’re you doing here?” I murmured under my breath, but loud enough that he could hear me.

He threw a glance at me. There was a hint of mischief in his eyes when he simply said; “I am here to watch you work.”

Deep down, even though I tried to believe him, I knew that he was lying. I could feel it deep inside our mate bond. My heart clenched in my chest when I realized that he was here because he didn’t trust me not to hurt them so much, or perhaps even kill them but I didn’t say a word as regards that. I simply blinked back the tears
