Aurora’s POV:

The glasses clinked as Klaus and I made a toast and while everyone sipped from our glasses, we didn’t. We only took the first sip after the toast and then poured most of the remaining contents of our drinks on the paper in the bin.

It was our Prenuptial agreement. The stupid arrangement that Klaus had come up with when we first met. A smile tugged at my lips as I remembered those times and in awe of how much we’ve grown since then, I leaned into him for a hug.

“Thank you,” I whispered, kissing his chest, uncaring if my red lipstick would stain his crisp white shirt. He didn’t seem to bother too as he also leaned closer, placed a kiss on my forehead, and whispered;

“No, thank you, my love.”

I blushed.

It was the fiercest blush I have had in a while and everyone who noticed this began to laugh excitedly.

At this moment, I looked around us, at my parents who were cheering and clapping at Bella while she made funny faces at David and Davina, at Jasmine who had tears stream

Unknown POV: (3 years later) Klaus and Aurora sat by the veranda, looking out at the field while young children played around, young children about their children’s age. Aurora was happy and her heart felt full… but somehow, somewhere deep inside her heart, she felt uneasy. She didn’t know what was wrong but she did know that she was uncomfortable. Her eyes wandered to where her children sat and seeing how they were still so engrossed with their toys, she smiled. “Maybe, I’m just so paranoid.” She mused, causing Klaus to turn to her. He asked her what she had said and after telling him about her thoughts, he let out a breath and muttered; “it’s been several years now, love. We’re fine now. Everyone is happy now… stop overthinking these things. The children, the pack is safe.” “But the children are too strong.” Aurora cried, “…it would take just one glance at them for an outsider to know that they’re different. They don’t even act like their mates!” “And how do you expect

Aurora’s POVMichael broke up with me over the phone later that day, but he did it in the middle of the night, probably expecting that I would be asleep by then but I wasn’t.In fact, I was at my friend, Jasmine’s house, devouring a large cone of ice cream to calm my nerves when I got the notification of his text.Jasmine and I had been really close around freshman year, but then we drifted apart a little because that was exactly when Michael had decided to step up our friendship game a notch, and like the bitch that I was, I had abandoned her, focusing instead on the stupid thing I had going on with Michael; and now I regretted it.I couldn’t even look into her eyes for fear of what she would say to me about it. Fortunately, she said nothing… until Michael texted.“So this is it?” She cried incredulously, pointing at the screen of my phone as if it was some sort of vile object. “He’s just gonna dump you after everything? Even when you’re both mates?!”At the mention of the word ‘mate

Aurora’s POV“I love it here! I could live in this moment forever!” I screamed drunkenly, smiling when the loud music drowned out my loud voice.Jasmine and I giggled as the waiter popped two shots of tequila in front of us. As it stood, we were already on our eleventh shots and we were crazy drunk but we didn’t want to stop, not when it was a lot more fun here than in our different realities. After the shocking revelation of Jasmine’s and Trevor’s sour love life, she had decided that we came here to forget, and that was what we intended to do!We both gulped down our shots, laughing hysterically as the liquid burned its way down our chests to our stomachs and as soon as it hit our guts, we jumped up, screaming like crazy banshees as we ran to the dance floor. For the first time in my life, I felt free, I lived freely and danced freely… all on my terms. Because Jasmine and I had gone on our own, we had no dance partners and decided to dance with each other instead. The chilly December

Aurora’s POV“What do you mean you were raped?!” Jasmine shrieked. The memory of the past night flooded my heart for the umpteenth time, and again, I couldn’t help but remember the dark smirk on that stranger’s face when he stepped out of the bathroom.Again, I felt weak, useless even. My heart broke at the thought of being in that sort of situation, and without holding back, I burst into tears. There was this look in her eyes, one that I could easily associate with pity but before I could make sense of what it was, she quickly masked it with a forlorn smile, grabbed me by my arm, and dragged me upstairs, and as soon as we arrived at her room, she pulled me into a hug.“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she whispered over and over again to me but I could only nod. Hell, I couldn’t even find my voice!Another problem was the fact that I couldn’t go home yet, especially not now that I looked like I had been run over (and maybe I have!). I couldn’t even begin to think what my family would say w

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter Four

Aurora’s POV One thing I noticed as I made my way to the open field was the looks of disdain that members of my pack threw at me as I walked past. This was quite fascinating because only a few days ago, I was quite the envy of a lot of girls. Many flocked around me to be my friend because deep down, they also knew that Michael and I were going to end up together. The memory filled me this time with a bittersweet feeling, but then every ounce of sweetness immediately left my body when I heard the snide comment Ariana threw at me.“A cheap whore is what she is!” She snapped, causing the girls gathered around her to laugh, but then I ignored them as I went to stand by a corner, praying that this gathering would quickly come to an end.My heart began to race when I overheard some girls talking about Ariana’s first sex with Michael.“It’s why he took her with him when he stormed out of the party last night!” One exclaimed, causing me to feel hot as the memories rushed back into my head. • The Rejected Luna   Chapter Five

Aurora’s POV It has been several days since my last encounter with Michael and even after all these while, I still haven’t been able to shake out the embarrassment… and even the fear I felt whenever I thought about it.On several occasions, I tried to scream in anger the same way I did that caused Michael and his missus to fall to the floor, but no matter how many times I tried to recreate that event, it just never happened.“Breathe in, breathe out… it’ll soon be over.” I tried to reassure myself as I hurriedly wore my attire, whilst getting myself prepared for Michael’s coronation. My hair was styled into a high ponytail and my face was bare of any makeup. I couldn’t even bring myself to dress up the way I wanted because I was afraid and intended to dress down to ensure that no one noticed me, but I was wrong! The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the hall was how every young member of my pack watched me with nothing but loathing in their eyes. For a moment, I was shocked

Chapter SixAurora’s POV:My eyes slowly fluttered open. Even that small action seemed to require a lot of effort. Heck! I was feeling quite drowsy and I could sense a little headache pounding away at the back of my head.As I became aware of my surroundings, the fact that I was lying on what might be “The world’s comfiest bed,” registered in my thoughts. I could lay here forever. But first things first, Where am I? I slowly got up and noticed a wide window to the side. Looking out the window, I was met with a magnificent view of nature. I’d recognize Lake Victoria and the luscious green grass surrounding it anywhere. And there was only one building that could offer such a close-up view of the lake, The Pack House.I gasped as soon as I realized I was in one of the exclusive rooms in the Pack House. Judging by the exquisite furniture, this might be one of the best rooms in the entire house. Rooms like these were usually reserved for visiting Alphas. Alpha... Alpha... Alpha Gerald. O

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Thirty three.

Aurora’s POV:I watched in curiosity as the flames lit up the evening sky, causing tons of smoke to fill the atmosphere in an almost suffocating manner. There were agonized screams coming from everywhere, but it was one from agony not from pain. Agony because a source of their livelihood was burning down, agony because a lot of money was being burnt to a crisp. Nobody was in pain, no. Klaus and I made sure no one would get hurt. While everyone had a piece of cloth or paper covering the lower parts of their face to block their nostrils from the angry fumes, I didn’t. I took it all in, giggling and happy.Klaus was standing beside me and he seemed just as pleased as I was. The only difference was that he wasn’t showing his emotions on his face. He still appeared stoic and nonchalant. One of Klaus’ soldiers held a limp Michael by his collar while he was made to watch his lifelong sweat go down the drain. He was quiet all through but his emotions were as bright as day. Tears streaked his

Aurora’s POV:My breath hitched in my throat as I watched Damon saunter into the room, brandishing a large gun on his shoulders. I saw more than a few Elders shrink away in fear and I almost barked out a laugh from how stupid they appeared doing that. However, I was quickly snapped to the present when I felt something cold against my skin and I frowned when I saw that it was the gun and that Damon was pressing it against my head.“And what is happening here?” He asked no one in particular, but his gaze was planted firmly on Klaus’ face.Without thinking, I pushed the gun away and got up, standing between Klaus and Damon. “What are you doing here?” I asked him instead, evading his question.I saw Damon’s eyes widen but I wasn’t sure if it was because he noticed that I wasn’t scared of him even with a gun or because of something else entirely. Choosing that opportunity, I stepped closer to him until we were almost standing chest to chest and whispered;“Leave… nothing here is any of you

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Thirty one.

The chatter in the room died down as soon he stepped in with his mate stalking behind him. Normally, anyone who saw them would think she was hiding behind him but that was unlike the case here. She was protecting him. She was his aide, his bodyguard, and his Luna.People knew them. Word had gotten out. She was the last of her kind. The only white wolf left in their entire world and people feared her for that. The elders who once wanted Klaus out of the throne because he wasn’t ‘fit’ now thought otherwise. With a Luna like her, you would always be fit.“King Klaus!” An old man with a boisterous voice called out. His voice rang around the room and when Aurora turned to regard him, he shrunk into his chair.Aurora always wanted to be respected, not feared. These days after a lot of people came to know what she was, she noticed that many now feared her. Those who respected her before feared and respected her now, and those who never respected her only feared her now.Right now, ignoring t

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Thirty.

Klaus’ POV: I watched her, my mate, with fascination as she wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand and stepped away from the now limp form of a beat-up Alpha; and I couldn’t help but feel more proud of her than I already was. I loved how she’d gotten every information she wanted out of Michael without laying a finger on him… but considering the amount of damage she’d done to him, I wasn’t sure I could still classify her methods of torture as not laying a finger on him. She smiled at me when she came up to me, a smile that was so bright no one could imagine what she had been doing for the past hour. She handed her phone to me and I smiled when I noticed that it was still recording, even until now. Quietly, I shut it off and pulled her into a hug. “Thank you…” I whispered but she shook her head immediately. “What—?” “No, thank you,” She whispered lovingly, “…for acknowledging that this is my fight and not trying to get into it. At first, I didn’t know what to

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Nine.

Aurora’s POV: I stood in a corner of the dark room with amusement gleaming in my eyes while Emily glared daggers at me. By the other end, just opposite Emily was Michael who was still fast asleep as a result of the effect of the drug I had knocked him out with. Klaus’ guards had chained him to the metal chair and left him to my mercy… or so I thought until I smelled him, Klaus. I didn’t even turn around to acknowledge him. I didn’t even flinch. “What’re you doing here?” I murmured under my breath, but loud enough that he could hear me. He threw a glance at me. There was a hint of mischief in his eyes when he simply said; “I am here to watch you work.” Deep down, even though I tried to believe him, I knew that he was lying. I could feel it deep inside our mate bond. My heart clenched in my chest when I realized that he was here because he didn’t trust me not to hurt them so much, or perhaps even kill them but I didn’t say a word as regards that. I simply blinked back the tears

Aurora’s POV:I stepped into the dimly lit restaurant with a sultry smile gracing my lips. Even before I stepped in, I already knew where Michael was seated so I immediately made my way to him, almost basking in delight when his eyes widened as soon as he took in my appearance.“Queen superior…” he let out almost breathlessly. His eyes settled just on my exposed cleavage for a few seconds before he begrudgingly pulled them to my face.“…I thought I was supposed to meet with King Klaus today.” He pointed out, eyeing me skeptically.I shrugged; “well, hello to you too, Michael. I am doing fine and you?!” I sassed, eliciting a breathy chuckle from him.“Oh, I’m so sorry, Aurora, I was so stunned by your beauty that I momentarily forgot my manners.” He quickly responded. If that was his silly excuse for flattery then he had a lot more to learn. Refusing to show how unimpressed I was by him, I smiled, briefly exposing my pearly whites. “You flatter me!”Resting against the table, I leaned

Aurora’s POV:I was in the middle of outlining my lips with my new Charlotte Tilbury red lipstick when Klaus stepped into the room. I noticed how his eyes sexily roamed my body before landing on my eyes.“You look stunning,” he let out, his voice no more than a breathy moan escaping his lips. I smiled my toothy smile at him and turned to take a quick glance at my reflection in the mirror.“Thank you, love,” I murmured back.I was clad in a little red dress, and when I say little, I mean that it did little to cover my curves. It was a long dress alright but had a very high slit by the left side, one that almost reached my waist. The neckline was low and droopy, exposing more cleavage than I would have liked but that didn’t deter me. In fact, it made me feel like I could pull this off.My silver hair was in a tight ponytail but after noticing how serious it made me look, I released it, letting it drop and then I stepped away from the mirror.Klaus was already behind me when I spun away
