Chapter Ninety Nine.

Aurora’s POV:

“Baby…?” I called softly as I stepped into Klaus’ room. Ever since the whole Josie/ Savannah incident, he has been acting differently… distant if you asked me.

I was worried because I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what I may have done or said to him to warrant such a shift in character; or was it because of Savannah?

When I stepped into his room, I didn’t meet anyone there and I was almost beginning to suspect that he’d gone out until I heard the unmistakable sound of water splashing against the bathroom tiles.

“He’s having his bath,” I sighed, mumbling under my breath as I sat on his bed.

I contemplated leaving to come back later but upon remembering how he’s been avoiding me ever since, I remained put. His room smelled of lavender and his fancy cologne. The smell was… welcoming, and thoughtlessly, I lay on his bed and closed my eyes, waiting.
