Chapter One Hundred and Thirty.

Klaus’ POV:

I watched her, my mate, with fascination as she wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand and stepped away from the now limp form of a beat-up Alpha; and I couldn’t help but feel more proud of her than I already was.

I loved how she’d gotten every information she wanted out of Michael without laying a finger on him… but considering the amount of damage she’d done to him, I wasn’t sure I could still classify her methods of torture as not laying a finger on him.

She smiled at me when she came up to me, a smile that was so bright no one could imagine what she had been doing for the past hour. She handed her phone to me and I smiled when I noticed that it was still recording, even until now. Quietly, I shut it off and pulled her into a hug.

“Thank you…” I whispered but she shook her head immediately. “What—?”

“No, thank you,” She whispered lovingly, “…for acknowledging that this is my fight and not trying to get into it.
