Chapter One Hundred and Twenty One

Aurora’s POV:

I glanced between my parents and Bella with a wide grin on my face. For a moment, I almost forgot that I was still very skeptical about Bella and that I still feared what she could do to me. I was so excited.

My smile fell when I saw my mother’s lips tremble slightly as tears sprang into her eyes. She brushed her hands through my hair and murmured something along the lines of; “How did this happen?” under her breath.

I chuckled. “Mom, I’m way better now. The worst is over.” I said softly, hoping to calm her down by saying so but she wasn’t pacified. If anything, she wept even harder.

“I’m sorry,” she sobbed but I could only hug her, quite unsure of what to say. She carefully pulled away from the hug to scam my face for a moment and after what felt like ages of intense scrutiny, she sighed.

“I still feel bad… that you were literally struggling to survive while I was in Bora Bora having fun.” She said in a light tone, sounding almost… suggestive.

At this, my eyes widened.
