Chapter Seventy

They both helped her up and Denis helped her to the car. He shut the food when she was seated inside comfortably and went back inside to get the drugs from the doctor.

He hands the pack of drugs to Kelsey then starts the car. It took a few minutes for them to leave the driveway because of the other cars parked around it.

Once the car hits main road, she looked outside the window and let the wind do it’s thing and mess with her hair. She watched as the trees danced to the tune of the wind and how the road sped past them. The road was free, there were only a handful of cars around.

She pretended like she didn’t know that Denis was stealing glances at her. If he had something to say, he would say it, eventually.

“I’m sorry.” He mumbled but she pretends like she didn’t hear him, she was tired of his half baked apologies and the fact that he always found a way to upset her again and again. It’s an endless cycle.
