Chapter Seventy Three

“What!!!” Denis yelled, his consonant sharp and precise. He felt all the blood on his body drop from his chest to his feet. He felt his heart rate triple, the sound of his heart drumming against his chest filled the room.

“Y..yo..you...you're pregnant?” He asked again hoping her answer would miraculously change because he heard it wrong but he didn’t and it didn’t.

“Yes, I’m pregnant.” She said it again, louder and bolder, she probably didn’t stress the last word but it sounded louder, it carried more weight than he ever imagined a word could carry. Kelsey was enjoying every last bit of it
