Chapter 3

Diane's POV.

My nerves wreaked havoc inside me, and I could literally feel myself shaking as I made my way into the school. The cool breeze sent chills down my spine as my heart raced.

It had been two weeks, and I could only pray Jaden had forgiven me. I really hoped he hadn't decided to make my life hell in school because of what happened that night in the bar, even though I knew he would never let it slide.

His bloodshot eyes as he walked away that night after his threat made my stomach knot as I realized I was finally at his mercy. He would definitely come back for revenge and Leo won't be here to save me. Right here in this school, his father owned the biggest share.

He would do whatever he liked and go scot-free, and teachers can't scold or punish him for fear of losing their job.

I didn't just become his ex, but also his enemy, and now I have no idea what he had planned for me.

The only option was to apologize again, even though I had done that numerous times through text, to which he didn't reply. He had also blocked me from calling him.

Leo, the stranger who had appeared in my life out of nowhere had vanished into thin air after that night, leaving the memory of him that I could never forget. 

That night was the best moment of my life as I gave away my virginity and had the best sex of my life. The pleasure clouded whatever pain I had at the beginning.

Although he disappeared, I have no regrets. It still hurts badly that he left with no goodbyes or at least a little information on where I can find him again but he made me feel alive and desired, and I experienced sex in a way I never imagined or expected.

I could still remember how everything went on with me and Leo that night, ever part still fresh in my memory like it happened yesterday.

“Can you go home now?” He asked calmly, looking down at my hand, holding onto his arm with an expression I couldn't decipher.

“I can't go home drunk like this. My parents went on vacation outside the country. What about you?” I mumbled, tightening my grip as if scared he would vanish. 

“I will book a hotel for the night.” He replied with a shrug.

“Take me to your hotel, please.” I begged immediately with pouty lips, my legs shaking from the little alcohol in my body. He took a deep breath, looking at me with furrowed brows as if he was contemplating, but he later agreed.

Picking up my bag, he carried me in his arms after seeing I was struggling to walk. It was a pretense like I was drunk because I wanted to be swaddled.

His masculine cologne gave me so much warmth, as I wrapped my arms around his neck laying there as nothing else existed in my head except him.

We got to the hotel he booked, and so quickly the connection built up.

I don’t know what happened or how but we both suddenly lost whatever self control we had left, the desire for each other's body consuming us.

“Where do you stay? Can I know more about you?” I asked quietly, but didn't get any response. I looked up to his face, and he was already asleep.

I smiled and lay back. 

“We will have enough time to get to know each other tomorrow.” I thought to myself, not wanting to wake him up but the next morning, I woke up and couldn't find him. I was the only one on the bed with no trace of him. I searched around and all I could see was the money he left for me on the table like he was paying for my service.

It was so painful and I felt used, wondering if all we shared that night was nothing to him. Why did he leave the money there? Did he take me as a slut for the night? 

I didn't take the money but left it there and went back home. 

My parents returned and I didn’t tell them anything about Jaden or Leo. Instead, I would always sneak out to visit the bar in hope to see Leo again but he never showed up.

He was gone and didn't even care to share his phone number with me.

Now I was finally back in school, and for the first time I felt like I shouldn’t be here as fear of Jaden caused terror to pool in my stomach. Maybe I should have told my parents all that happened so they would enroll me in another school.

As soon as I entered the classroom, the first person I saw was him, and his loathing eyes peered at me with a little smirk tugging up his lips.

I walked past the teacher and headed to my seat, which was beside him. It was assigned that way when we were still together and now it has become a cruel twist of fate for me. I felt so terrified to go there but I had no choice.

My heart was racing, and I felt like everyone could hear the sound of my heartbeat. 

“Diana,” he drawled, a smirk tugging at his lips. “You look prettier today.” 

He complimented, but I could feel the sarcasm in his tone.

“You scared?” he whispered, jis He whispered into my ear, and I shuddered, swallowing hard.

“Why that face? Aren't you happy to see me?” He scoffed, rubbing his palms. “Seeing you again makes me feel so much urge to hurt you.” His voice, low but enough for the teacher to hear, yet she acted blind and deaf.

“What did I do wrong?” I asked breathlessly.

“In that club, you didn't go with me when I ordered you to; instead, you chose to sit with that gigolo! You enjoyed watching him punch me in the face, right? And I heard you thanking him.” 

“I am sorry.” I muttered under my breath, feeling the tension of his words. He was definitely going to hurt me, and I have no idea yet what he planned.

“Remember all the nudes you sent to me? I am about to upload them all. And that is just the beginning.” He threatened, winking at me. My heart sank as my mind flashed back to all the stupid stuff I had done for him. 

“Why did you save all that? Please don't do this to me.” Tears welled up in my eyes as I looked at him hopelessly, seeing how cold his eyes were. There was no trace of mercy or pity.

“I have many things to do to you, so you will have a lot of begging and tears to spill.” He let out a smug smile.

“Thank you, class. See you next time.” The teacher announced, packing her books. I have no idea what topic she thought about today because of Jaden.

“Please tell me anything, and I will do it. My videos can't be leaked. I won't be the only one to suffer from it; my parents' business will suffer too.” I begged.

“Get down on your knees!” He cackled, and I desperately did.

The whole classroom also began to jeer.

“Silent!” The voice of the proprietor broke in at that moment, causing everywhere to become dead silent as we all sat down and faced him.

“You guys are too noisy!” He reprimanded then readjusted his eyeglass. “Anyways, I am here to introduce your new math teacher because the former one has been sacked for incompetence!” 

I was not concerned about whatever he was saying so I bent my head on the desk. Who cares about a new math teacher when their life is about to tear apart? I can't imagine the shame I will bring to my parents.

“Here is your new teacher.. A male one this time.” I heard the proprietor say, and there was chattering noise, especially from the female students as if there was something significant about the man.

I looked up in confusion and curiosity, not understanding what the chatters were about and just then I saw him.

“What?!” A sharp gasp escaped my mouth. I couldn't believe my eyes as I stared at Leo standing in front of the classroom as the new teacher. My new Maths teacher.
