Dimitri only felt like Brooklyn was too worried about these things and overly cautious. He didn't know what the latter had experienced to become like this—he hadn't been like this in the past.

"You're being too cautious." He stroked the mark on the back of Brooklyn's neck. "You're Zachary Hart. You need to be more haughty."

"But I can't." Brooklyn looked at him cautiously. If he were the actual Zachary Hart, he could be as haughty as he wanted. But he wasn't—he was Brooklyn York, the poor kid who lived at the underground level.

"We've arrived, Mr. Wood," the driver said. They pulled up outside the Hart residence.

Dimitri led Brooklyn out of the car. The Hart residence's door wasn't like the Wood family's—it was just a regular door and wasn't as lavish and grandiose as the one at the Wood family's estate. In fact, it looked just like a house that belonged to a regular family.

"Welcome, Mr. Wood." The butler, Alan Smith, stood at the door. He didn't greet Brooklyn. Instead, he nodde
