Chapter 67

Awkward and silent, maybe those two words can describe the current atmosphere in Naya's hospital room. In the end, Arka decided to keep Naya in the hospital for at least a day to make sure she was okay.

Juna and Jinan, who had been in Naya's hospital room for quite some time, were silent. Neither of them started a conversation because they saw Arka and Naya were also silent. 

It wasn't long before Arka's father arrived. The middle-aged man approached his favorite son-in-law and immediately asked about his condition. He also asked why Naya had been hospitalized.

Instead of covering up what really happened, Naya told her father-in-law the truth. About Arka suddenly hiring a bodyguard for her, Arka suddenly fighting with Zack and Naya having to be hospitalized because she fainted after being hit by Arka. Naya told her father-in-law everything, not caring if Arka would get a tantrum from her father afterwards. Perhaps Naya was already so upset with her husband that she told her father-in-law everything.

How not to be upset, besides suddenly being hired by a bodyguard, Naya was also embarrassed because she was reprimanded by her lecturer for bringing a bodyguard to campus.

"Oh My Gosh Arka, what else did you do? So your wife ended up in the hospital because of you? Because you broke up a fight and hit her?"

"I didn't mean to, Dad. There's no way I would hit my own wife."

"The proof is that now I'm in the hospital because of you. Because you beat me unconscious," Naya said in an annoyed tone.

A long sigh escaped Arka's mouth. The man gave up, it was useless to say it was not intentional, it would still be his fault in the end. Not wanting to make matters worse, he apologized to his wife, but Naya didn't seem to want to forgive him.

Juna, who had just found out about the bodyguard and the reason why Naya was hospitalized, could only shake his head. He thought Naya was seriously ill until she was hospitalized, but it turned out to be just because of Arka's jealousy. Arka has never changed, Juna thought to himself.

"Okay, I admit my mistake. I apologize."

"I don't want to forgive you."

"You see for yourself, I've apologized but she doesn't want to forgive me," Arka said to her father.

Seeing how Arka and Naya's attitude in solving problems again made Juna shake her head. Gosh, they, especially Arka, are adults but apparently age cannot guarantee one's maturity in thinking.

"I will forgive you on one condition. I don't want you to hire a bodyguard. I don't want to be followed anywhere by a bodyguard. Apart from not liking it, I'm also embarrassed to be reprimanded by the lecturer for bringing a bodyguard to campus."

Without thinking, Arka immediately rejected Naya's request. She still wanted to hire a bodyguard to follow Naya wherever she went. 

"Aren't you ashamed of being childish like this in front of your friends? Especially you Arka, why would you hire a bodyguard for Naya? Is Naya a celebrity?" Arka's father said.

"Because Arka doesn't want Naya to meet her college friend named Zack, uncle," said Jinan who immediately looked at Arka's sharp gaze.

In contrast to Arka who stared directly at Jinan, Naya smiled happily at her friend's statement. Looks like Jinan is on her side this time, Naya thought.

"Zack? You mean Arka's jealous?"

Jinan and Naya nodded.

Again, Arka stared intently at Jinan and Naya in turn. In his heart, the man was already swearing at the two women.

Upset, of course Arka was very upset. How could she not, those two women had just embarrassed her in front of her father and Juna. How would her father and Juna respond if they found out she was this jealous of Naya to the point of hiring bodyguards to watch her?

"Omg Arka, isn't that too much?" 

"Arka has always been like that, uncle. I was also antagonized because I was thought to be close to and in a relationship with Naya when it was clear I already had a girlfriend. Even after I got married, Arka was still jealous of me," after remaining silent for so long, Juna now speaks up. The man's words put Arka on the spot.

If it was only Naya and Jinan who got Arka's glare earlier, now Juna did too. The man even got a sharper stare from Arka.

"Are you guys working together to embarrass me?" Arka asked.

"Never mind, you're very jealous. Tell you what, I don't want you to hire another bodyguard for Naya. And you Naya, I hope you can keep your distance from other men because your husband is very possessive."

After much deliberation, Arka finally agreed to dismiss the bodyguard she had hired. But on one condition, Naya must keep her distance from other men, especially Zack. Naya, who was already very tired of arguing, just nodded in resignation.

The next morning Zack was immediately summoned to the campus leadership room. Not only Zack, Arka was also summoned. No need to ask why they were summoned, obviously because of the problem of yesterday's fight that horrified the entire campus.

"What are you going to explain now? You might end up fighting like yesterday on campus. Arka, you are a lecturer. Lecturers are supposed to set a good example, not fight with their students like yesterday."

Arka remained silent as he was reprimanded by the campus leader. To be honest, he was also sorry for getting so carried away that he didn't realize he was fighting with Zack. But what else, everything had happened.

"I didn't want to fight either, sir. But suddenly Mr. Arka came up to me and asked me to fight," Zack said, making Arka, who had wanted to remain silent, speak up immediately.

Feeling that everything Zack said cornered him, Arka did not want to lose. He continued to defend himself until he didn't realize he was arguing with Zack again. 

"Enough! You guys really don't respect me here! This isn't the first time you've fought on campus, at that time I gave you a warning but you just did it again. This time I won't give you a light punishment to deter you!"

After a long time in the leadership room, Arka and Zack were asked to leave. Even though they had been punished, it seemed that it was not enough to have a deterrent effect on them. The proof is that just out of the campus leader's room, the two of them have returned to arguing. It didn't even matter if there were several students who glanced at them.

"I know you deliberately cornered me in front of the leadership earlier. What was your intention?"

"What? I was just speaking facts."

"What facts? One fact you should know is that Naya is my wife. How many times have I told you not to go near my wife! Are you deaf? Oh or do you like my wife so much that you approach her when she already has a husband? Don't know yourself!" Arka said while looking down at Zack.

Hearing himself called ignorant made Zack upset. The man then challenged Arka by confirming that he liked Naya. This of course triggered another argument between them.

Until finally Jenny came to break them up. "Don't you realize where you are right now? You're still in front of the campus leader's room, do you want the leader to hear your arguments again?"

Realizing Jenny's words, Arka decided to leave immediately.

"What did you say to her to make him so angry?" Jenny asked.

"I just said that I liked Naya," Zack replied before walking away.
