Chapter 109

Today, Mauren's post-mortem results will be released. The results will be immediately taken by the police so that nothing untoward happens.

If the post mortem results are out, it means that the time given for Arka to look for evidence of the man's innocence is over. And until now Arka has not found any evidence that can prove if he is completely innocent.

As said earlier, if the post-mortem results are taken directly by the police, it means that Arka and Mauren must come to the police station to see the results.

By now Arka, accompanied by Naya, was already at the police station. Mauren was also already there, the woman came accompanied by her friend and the family of her friend. However, Mauren needed protection in case Arka went berserk and attacked her again.

Now everyone was in a police station room. It could be seen how tense the atmosphere was at the moment. Mauren, the woman really looked very tense, honestly she was scared because after all her accusations were actually false, Arka had never done anything to her. 

Not far from Mauren's seat was Naya who looked equally tense. She was afraid that the result would not be what she expected. In contrast to Arka who seemed so confident that the post mortem results would show that there had never been any abuse done to Mauren.

"Okay, since everyone has gathered then I will immediately read out the results of the post mortem on Mauren. Before that I will remind you again, the results of this post mortem are very accurate, the results are also directly given to the police so there will be no such thing as cheating or sabotage. So the results of this post mortem will be the true results."

"Previously, Arkana, if the results of the post-mortem show that Mauren was abused, then as we have said before, you will be temporarily detained until the time of the trial. However, if the post-mortem shows that there was no harassment against sister Mauren, then we can still release you and it is possible that sister Mauren, who was originally a witness and victim, can be turned into a suspect for giving false testimony."

The police's explanation just now added to the tension in the room. Since everything was clear and there were no questions, they would soon reveal Mauren's post-mortem results.

Cold sweat begins to pour down Naya and Mauren's temples, for some reason only the two women seem so tense and afraid of the results, very different from Arka who is currently the reporting party.

Now that the post-mortem results had been released, several police officers looked at the results before nodding, understanding what they had to do next.

"The results of Mauren's post-mortem explain that there was an act of harassment that happened to Mauren. Based on the results of the post mortem, it is suspected that the act did not only happen once but more than once. We hereby decide that Arkana is guilty of committing an act of harassment against Mauren and will be named as a suspect and will be detained until further notice."

You can see how shocked everyone in the room was. Mauren was shocked to hear the results of her post-mortem. How could she not, the woman even realized that nothing had ever happened between her and Arka, everything she said was just a lie. How could the post-mortem result show that she was the victim of Arka's harassment?

Not much different from Mauren, Arka, who had been so sure that the post-mortem would show his innocence, was completely shocked. The man could have sworn that he had never done anything to Mauren.

"NO!!! THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE RESULTS! I HAVE TO SEE FOR MYSELF!" Disbelieving the results the police had just read out, Arka violently grabbed Mauren's post-mortem paper.

He was shocked to read that Mauren had been abused not once but several times.

"No! This must be wrong! I never did anything to her!!!"

With a very sharp gaze Arka stared at Mauren. Without thinking, the man went straight to her and mercilessly strangled her neck. "Damn it! You bitch! You must have slept with another man and threw all the evil on me, right?!!!"

"Arka!"

Some of the police, Naya and Mauren's family friends immediately took Arka away from Mauren.

"Mr. Arkana pull yourself together, your actions might aggravate your sentence later."

"Hiks Arka," Naya whispered as she firmly held her husband's hand from attacking Mauren again.

Arka continued to rage. He accused Mauren of being the one who had abused him instead of another man. Arka accused Mauren of having done it many times with other men but she threw everything at him.

While Arka continued to rage, Mauren could only cry while touching her neck which was still sore from Arka's strangulation. Honestly, she didn't know why the post-mortem showed that.

"We will temporarily imprison Mr. Arkana until this case goes to trial."

"Please take him into the cell."

"One moment, please, sir. Let me talk to my husband for a moment," Naya said as two policemen were about to take Arka into the jail.

"Good afternoon sir, sorry to interrupt your time."

Arka's father, who had been focused on his work, turned around as soon as he heard a knock on the door of his study.

Mr. Joseph, the lawyer who was going to be Arka's lawyer, walked into Arka's father's room. 

"Good afternoon, Mr. Joseph. How is it, any developments?"

"Sorry sir, I'm here with some rather unpleasant news."

Hearing this, Arka's father immediately stopped his activities. The middle-aged man seemed focused on waiting for what news Mr. Joseph would say again.

"I just came to the police station. Today is the solving of the victim's post-mortem. The post-mortem showed that the victim was indeed abused, so Mr. Arka has been named a suspect and from today he will be detained indefinitely."

You can see how Arka's father reacted after hearing the news. Shock, disappointment, sadness all mixed together. The child he had been educating so well grew up to be a perpetrator of abuse. 

Honestly, Arka's father still hopes that none of this is true, which is why he hired a lawyer to help resolve this case. But it turned out that his assumption was wrong, his son was indeed guilty.

Naya couldn't stop crying. Today was a very hard day for her. How could she not, all her fears were realized today. Her husband, the man she initially believed would never commit a crime, was proven guilty. Even starting today her husband will be held in prison.

"I'm sorry, sorry for disappointing you."

"Why did you have to lie? Why do you have to convince me of your innocence if you're going to be found guilty in the end?"

"Naya, I could have sworn that I never did that at all. I apologize to you for having to leave you and Kenzo. I'm sorry for having to let you live alone with Kenzo."

"Hiks, what should I do now, Arka?"

"Stay with your mom or my parents. Don't stay alone while I'm still here. I can't take care of you anymore, I don't want you to get hurt."

"Naya, listen to me. Someday I will definitely prove my innocence. I dare to say this because I'm innocent. Live happily with Kenzo without me. Don't ever think about me, live happily while I'm here. I'm sorry to leave you."

Naya's tears broke out. She hugged her husband tightly. She really didn't know what to do, she never imagined that her husband would be in prison and leave her with Kenzo.
